Week 8 of flowering and she is growing still. Bud sites are peaking out on the King Gelato and same with the Green Crack. The fan leaves are either moving out of the way or they are just coming up in between them. Just letting it go au naturel right now. Still feeding veg nutrients but maybe for only one more feeding we’ll see. Some days the leaves on the bottom droop down and then I’ll check on it later in the day and it’s fine. Not going to stress or mess with it unless it really needs it. ***Dec 13 - So King Gelato seems to have a potential calcium issue. I thought maybe overwatered but the schedule hasn’t been diverted or changed. Fed it this morning with CM Plus and water which was ph 6.25 so we’ll see what she looks like in the coming days. ***Dec 16 -I decided to pull the plug on King Gelato. I think it was my fault with the watering and after looking at the soil it was destined to fail. You live you learn.

Grow Questions

Wondering if this is some sort of deficiency or maybe I’m overthinking? I know I overwater sometimes and I’m trying to get that under control however my other plant doesn’t look like this it’s more solid green. Temp is at 75 daily and humidity is 35-40%.

Humidity seems a bit low but this looks like the plant is overstrained by water. I would let her dry out while raising the humidity up to 60 or at least 50%. Good Luck and Happy Grow 💚🌱🌈👍

Should I prune any of these leaves or just let it go au naturel? If so what should I prune? I’d hate to kill it by removing something I shouldn’t.

Not even close. You dont need to defoliate until the lighting is being significantly restricted to lower portions of the plant. Normally 4-5 weeks for autos, and usually about 5-7 weeks for regs/fems (about a week before flower) and then a second time for regs/fems about 3 weeks in to flower

So after 24 hours of feeding it CM Plus it doesn’t look any better. I’m hoping there is not another underlying issue. Environment remains the same. Pics are 24 hours apart. Or will it take a few days + before seeing improvements?

How are you watering? With fabric pots it is difficult to over water but it is easy to under water. Many people just pour water around the plant in the middle. This leaves the rest of the soil dry and roots only grow in moist soil. In an extreme case you can have a plant act root bound because it's roots are only in the area you water. With fabric pots you will use a lot of water. When the plant has only 3 or 5 nodes you might water every other day but when the plants get larger they may need watering every day. Water the entire surface of the soil, paying attention to give more water to the perimeter than the core. There is more soil around the edge of the pot and that is where evaporation is high. Fabric pots make it easy though. Water slowly from the top. If water erupts from the side of the pot water more slowly. Water and let it soak in a minute then water more. You should see or feel the outside of the pot get damp. You want the entire outer surface of the fabric pot to get damp. It can take 5 minutes or more for the water to soak all the way to the bottom but you want it all to get damp; sides and bottom. Once you've done that pick up your pot and get to know the weight. When it is dry it is noticeably lighter. Then the next day if the sides of your pot are dry and the pot is light water again. If the sides are still wet the next day, skip watering and check the next day.

Hey man, Are your seeds feminized or are they automatic ? If your seeds are automatic, you’re right, they are in flowering If they are feminized, you’re not in flowering yet, your plants just exposed their sex. To induce the flowering, you will need to switch for a 12/12 light cycle. In the case of automatic seeds they can be grown under 18/6, 20/4 or even 24/0. By the way, your plants are looking much better then when I last visited, you watered less and it’s good. As a great YouTuber always say « I water my plants when they feel light » MrCanucks for those asking, he is really the best to learn everything about growing. If you have questions, I will be happy to help you ! See you soon 😉

@psuperman, i started growing by myself, not knowing anything, and with all the informations I could find on the Internet, ive become a better grower. I guess it would be a shame to not spread that knowledge as I learned everything with people sharing their own knowledge. I guess everyone find their benefits in sharing knowledge. Anyway, I’m pleased to see that you took the right path with your waterings. You will see, with time, you won’t even think about it anymore 😉

@Royal_G, Hey there! Yes these are automatic seeds ☺️ And thank you I totally agree with you. You were spot on and I make sure to remind myself all the time about watering lol. I appreciate you coming by to visit, it’s amazing having people like you to be able to ask for assistance. I was really happy finding this network of growers 👌🏻

@psuperman dude the leaves are wilting from lack of calcium. My suggestion for solution is either use any cal mag, or you can use water with calcium in it. good harvest.
psuperman
psupermancommented3 years ago
@E6EPb, I’m definitely trying that this morning. Wilting got worse on the King Gelato.

Loving the plants man. My two cents would be to keep giving them veg nutes for another week or 2 before going all in on bloom because they're going to need that nitrogen to stretch and branch out for ripening. But different strokes for different folks. When you shrink a plants life cycle down to 75 days its anyone's guess where you actually are in the feeding schedule. Also most autos I've grown are much lighter feeders than their photoperiod counterparts. Just some things I wish people would have told me when I started. Otherwise, good luck and happy growing friend 🍻

@Snickelfritters, Thank you so much! You’re actually the second person to tell me that in the last couple days. A buddy of mine told me to try that for at least a week and see what happens. I’ve definitely come to realize that you are right as well, they are a lot less lighter when it comes to feeding which isn’t necessarily a bad thing either just as long as you get the measurements right lol. Thanks again! 🍻🍻

@psuperman, it won't kill them but will reduce yield and increase watering. If your not looking for big yield u may be ok. Just trying to keep u from getting root bound. Best of luck and Happy Growing 😎🌱💚💪💪

@Wackytabacky_420, Am I able to leave them in 1.5 gallon pots though? I’m not looking for massive yields I wanted to sort of kelp it simple or will it kill the plant if I don’t increase the size?

Hey man ! We can see that you love your plants. I would say that you should let the medium dry more before watering again, keep the nutrients on the low, yellow marks on the tips of the leaves are caused by an excess of nutrients. Otherwise, you’re doing good, might think about a more powerful light for later. Keep it simple 🙏🏻
psuperman
psupermancommented3 years ago
@Royal_G, Thank you kindly! I’m definitely going to water a bit less, I may have added too much organic compost on top but I’ll be making sure to monitor it and also use just straight spring water the next few waterings to see how it reacts. Thanks for the kind words and advice it’s much appreciated ☺️
