Hi folks,
Well, this is my second diary I've got around to making. Over this past year I've had problems with seeds that have set me back practically all year due to them not sprouting. The first of these were the biscotti 2.0, 10 seeds bought and only 2 beans cracked, 2nd was critical sour diesel.. same again 2 out of 10 beans cracked so I decided to try Phenofinders seeds as they were recommended by another grower in the family. I decided on Lemon Sherbert and bought and germinated 10 (even though I only have space to grow 6) thinking they wouldn't all sprout as per my luck over the past year. Well, I put them into water around 4pm on Saturday.. 24hrs later they all started getting tap roots! and the photo I've just taken are the sprouts when I got up this morning so I'm stating to get super excited already about this grow. And yes, just my luck that all 10 have sprouted lol ( hope my family member can take 4 of these for me).
Jumping ahead, I'm undecided if I'm gonna use my 2 x sf2000's or just go for 2 x 600w HPS on this grow. I'm more leaning toward the 600w's to be fair now it's winter.
I'll try and post every Sunday. Take care folks!
**Just added a few more photo's 5 days later**
Nothing much really to say this week besides I re-potted them into bigger pots with 60/40 coco/perlite to give those roots some room to get going. I started a very mild nutrient mix ph'd down to 5.8. Other than that nothing else to mention for now.
There's a heater in the tent to keep them at a steady 24c during light on plus I installed a small fan to get the air moving.
Ok, have a safe week folks and I'll be checking in next week!
Hi, thanks for looking in. I took the photo's yesterday. I've not had much time to do much with these last week other than water/feed them due to me dealing with my last harvest.
So, I'm gonna clean out my groom and get these in their bigger fabric 7 gallon pots and bung them under my 2 x 600w HPS this afternoon. I'm also going to start them on Advanced Nutrients for the grow and bloom. More to follow next week
Take care!
Hello everyone.
The girls were moved into their final place yesterday in the groom as you can see in the photos. I'm really impressed with the way these are going. I decided to flip the nutrients back to AN so I can get rid of the stock I have left from the last grow. Plus I seem to do better with AN (8oz per plant indoors!).
I decided to go with my SF2000 instead of the HPS as I'm trying to keep the electric bills down. All looking good so I'll post again next week with more pictures.
stay safe!
Here we are with the weekly update, I forgot to post last Sunday which was no big deal as there wasn't much to tell you guys except they were doing well. I flipped these to flower last Sunday so this is their first week in bloom.
Everything looking good and going well under the SF2000's. I'm impressed with the way these girls are growing to be fair. I'll defoliate on week 3 I think .
See you next week
Hi everyone,
I've done some slight defolation with these girls this week as they were in need of a good trim. I've also added big bud coco to the nutrient solution and as you can see, these babies are doing really well.
There was a bit of nutrient burn so I've scaled back the nutrients from 4ml to 2ml per litre this week to give them a bit of a recovery time.
I'm gonna be doing another defoliation in the new year. Other than that, nothing more to add for this week so I hope everyone has a good Christmas if you celebrate it.
Take care!
Hello everyone,
This is the end of the second week of flowering and as you can see, some really nice bud sites have started to appear. I've done a little more defoliating just to keep the air flowing and to get the light onto some of those lower buds. I've also started to bend the stems under the net as I'm getting a bit of stretch at this stage.
I'm thinking I could do with a couple of supplementary lights for the edge of the groom but that's maybe an idea for another time.
I'm pleased with the way things are going this week so nothing more to report. Will update next week
Take care!
Greetings!
I hope everyone had a good Christmas and new year!
Sorry, I should have posted these last week but better late than never! These are the girls at the end of their 3rd week of flower. I've stopped using big bud and switched to overdrive which I'll do for probably the next 2 water changes (so 3 weeks overdrive in total)
These girls really need defolation every week to keep the humidity down. The smell is really starting to develop now, smells of a nice citrus aroma.
Nothing more to add until later today when it'll be this weeks update!
As you can see these are doing really well. Nothing changed this week except a little needed defolation again.
so, as there is nothing more to add, I'll sign off and be back next week with another update for you all.
Take care!
