Hey man, don’t know if it was a good idea to transplant so late in flower anyhow. But you got to do it... do you have the kelp extract from biobizz? You should use that it will help lots!

You can top autos without having any problems usually....but since you mentioned already stressing them out , and now they're in an outdoor environment the traditional xmas tree style handles natural sunlight very good without having to top. Just let them get as much light as possible and they should do well without any training. Good luck with these wild outdoor women. 😁

Laszlo So as topping was the best decision on my Gorillas i decided not to experiment to much and topped em all. They are doing so well! My autos are all flowering now and they are huge! I love to see them getting bigger every day! I gave them a selfmade cocktail of dry cow-shit and water. They love it!

Laszlo Week 7 was a weather desaster. It was cold, stormy, no real sun light at all, it was raining all day but my plants did well because of the greenhouse. The buds are developing nicely. Hopefully the next week is sunny and warm so they can explode! Bought myself BioBizz Bloom because i was told its the best natural nutrient. Seems to work well so far. My little purples are getting bigger and stronger every day.

Laszlo Week 8 was awesome. Buds are developing well. The smell is great (btw. Cheese really has a certain aroma that cant be defined. Cheese comes close to describe it) Topped the Gorillas a while ago because the effect is awesome and they still got a long time to go. The lower leafs are turning yellow somehow. I gonna post some newer pics soon. I think its because of the heat and a bit too less water :( Never mind. They still look awesome. BioBizz Bloom was worth the money. Im totally impressed how strong they grow after using it.

Laszlo commented8y ago
@DudeGrowsWeed,Thanks for your advise mates! I have a little shed in my garden where i could try to force flowering. Does only the directly burning sunlight matter or the whole lighting?
DudeGrowsWeed
DudeGrowsWeed commented8y ago
@Laszlo,Indirect lighting does matter. You need 12 hours of darkness. But outdoors flowering seemed to start with around 10 hours of darkness for me last year.
ShaggyGrower
ShaggyGrower commented8y ago
@Laszlo, whole lighting as well. They need darkness, ie, no light from any source. So, time to sew up some blackout curtains for your shed! :)

@Laszlo Hi there! TOPping, FIMing, and applying LST techniques will dramatically increase your yield, I highly recommend to try at least one of these methods to make yourself an opinion. Be warned that this may slow down the growth process for a couple of days, enlarging your initial calendar. Also, note that topped/fimed plants could be more sensitive to the wind, because of the number of colas to develop and the new structure of the plant, stems could be weaker than if you let the main cola grow naturally. But I noticed you already protected your grow area from the wind so this shouldn't be a problem. Finally, as mentioned by @ShaggyGrower, having too-close colas can lead to mold issues, especially for outdoor environments. To resume, I'd recommend to try, experiment, improve your skills, see how it goes, and next time you'll know what to do based on your own experience. Hope this helps, I'll be around, keep us up-to-date and happy growing! 👊

@Laszlo definitely. The chemical elements are the same regardless of their origin. I would always recommend measuring the pH value of your water-nutrient mix.
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commented8y ago
@Laszlo, I bought a pH/EC set https://www.grow-shop24.de/ph-ec-set-messung it's already paid off. You should calibrate the device every time before use. (make calibration solution and put it in a screw-top jam jar) I use it to measure my nutrient solution and the soil, and 1 day later I check the soil again in the pots.
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@Larimar, I'm going to start with test strips like we did back in chemistry class :D I can get them for free, so it can't hurt. If it's not the real deal, then I'll buy the thing. Thanks for the advice! :)

These are going to yield so poorly, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's some big facts. I wouldn't even defoliate those. Auto's NEED 18hrs of light MINIMUM to be productive enough to produce anything other than leafy, airy bullshit rat turd nugs. It needs all the leaves it grows. As stated previously, topping it will 100% stunt growth for several days, and these autos run on a time clock. You're veg period is pretty much over, far too late to top. Not sure why so many people are saying to top a 4wk old AUTOFLOWER thats under like 13hrs max of indirect sunlight. Must be amature hour lolol
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@PisBaked,Hey my friend :) I do understand your opinion but as you can read it is an automatic grow with 3×fem as an experiment :) as i said the autos will be completely untouched. All i asked about these training methods is for the 3 × Royal Gorilla feminised (the right ones in the pictures). But still thank you for taking the time to write an article for me :) have a nice day!
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commented8y ago
@Laszlo, it's best to always plant seeds in a single pot, the risk of damaging the roots when transplanting is very high if they are together. Otherwise, have fun!
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@Larimar, Oh right... How silly of me :/ I'm transplanting the little ones today. Wish me luck! :)

@Laszlo, Looks really good. Stay cool and don't overdo it (water, nutrients, etc. less is more <) happy growing everything looks fine so far
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commentedweek 78y ago
@Laszlo. It's going well. I think some of your ladies look light green. They seem a bit pale. Take a look yourself to see if that's the case or if I'm mistaken (they're just photos). If you come to the same conclusion, treat yourself to a bottle of Calmag (calcium/magnesium), this will help your ladies boost their photosynthesis. They should be greener again.
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@Larimar, you're right. They are pale. But I thought it was because we haven't had a really sunny day in almost 2 weeks. I read that organic fertilizers like mine (BioBizz Bloom) don't get along with synthetic/mineral fertilizers, because otherwise the microbial life in the soil gets ruined. Do you think I should do it or just wait for the sun (very strong this week) and see what happens?
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commented8y ago
@Laszlo, if you're unsure, check out other diaries.... or just ask, okay? Cheers!

Looks to me another week or two. Do you have a photo loupe,or magnifying glass? Look for cloudy trichomes, with 10-15%,Amber is a good starting point, but if it goes to much amber it will degrade the thc.
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@MG2009,Sorry but i dont have a microscope :/ is there any way to get the right harvestpoint without this?
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commentedweek 118y ago
@Laszlo, the sun is pushing the plant forward. I started flushing mine today. I wouldn't have thought that on Sunday, but for mine, harvest is in about 10 days.
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@Larimar, Crazy weather :D What do you think about my buds? 2 weeks? One? And what do you think about harvesting in stages? Like first the main cola and then the lower shoots later. I've got mini buds down there.
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commentedweek 108y ago
@Laszlo. To tell you if you can harvest, you need to look at each plant individually and base it on the trichomes. And yes, the buds can still get bigger... Whether that's the case for yours will depend, as mentioned, on the plant. I would just say that they could still go for another 1-2 weeks, maybe even 3 depending on the plant... you need to check closely and then decide for yourself. And especially if you're unsure about the location... then trust your gut and harvest them earlier if it's not safe enough. Love less than nothing. I just looked at the pictures, yeah, 1-3 weeks. And the gorilla might take longer. The gorilla would also like a bigger pot, but otherwise looks great!
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@Larimar, thank you :) Yes, the Gorillas aren't even flowering.... A bigger pot would be good, I think so too. The trichomes are still clear. And as you can see, the hairs aren't even brown. I'll leave them for a little while longer. :)

Mrs_Larimar commentedweek 78y ago
you can use calmag without worrying. And without photosynthesis, no food for the ladies
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@Larimar, Thanks a lot! But I have to say, after the first 2 sunny days, they got significantly darker again. I'll still make some minimal adjustments since I only have 10l pots. :)
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commentedweek 68y ago
Can you measure the soil with the strip? I thought that only works in liquids.
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@Larimar, Yes, you take a sample from the moist soil. A little moisture is all it takes.
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commentedweek 68y ago
@Laszlo hey. It went well transplanting the little ones. I'm glad. The ladies are growing nicely. Be a bit careful with the nutrients, the mix can get too strong quickly. So it's better to start with less... or in general, when it comes to fertilizing, less is usually more. Because if you give too much, the plant burns, and with too little, you just give more later. Just take your time and write down the mixing ratio for your next time (or next grow). You can easily forget things. Otherwise, happy growing!
Laszlo
Laszlo commented8y ago
@Larimar, thank you for the kind words :) So far, only the "big" ones have received nutrients. I'm leaving the little ones alone for a few more weeks. Do you think it's possible to over-fertilize quickly with simple manure like with chemical stuff? I specifically chose this fertilizing method because I'm so afraid that it can quickly become too much of a good thing.
MG2009
MG2009 commentedweek 118y ago
@ Laszlo Looking good 👍
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commentedweek 118y ago
I would say the ones that look ripe should start flushing... and in 10-14 days everything will be ripe anyway... although some are probably good earlier, I'm not there with you^^... but you can't really go wrong, the ladies will be good soon. Of course, you can harvest in stages. I always do them all at once. And I use the small ones for butter, oil, etc.
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimar commentedweek 118y ago
@laszlo I think it can go very quickly now. It's hot and bright, those things are exploding.
dandaru
dandaru commentedweek 108y ago
I don't think the cheese buds will get much bigger... I harvested mine at around 10% amber-colored trichomes. It looks like you have about a week left. They already look completely milky in the pictures. Cheers!
