Can't wait to get started again! Going with The Seedsman Gelat.OG this time round.
After 48 Hours of Wet Paper Towel, 1 of the 6 Seeds has popped and is way ahead, potted into the smallest pot we have and put under the dome, sprayed well for high humidity.
Will check on the remaining 5 seeds tomorrow and be looking to have all potted.
I shall then acclimatise the new potted seedlings under dark for 48 - 72hours once they have grown a inch or two, lights on and ready to start the first week of veg!
2 of my 6 seeds have sprouted will put 2 of them under light and wait on the remaining 4 to sprout under darkness!
30% Power on the light at a high level just to give them a lil juice
85% Humidity at around 22-23C
Once all sprouted seedlings are under here, will keep them until nice green leaves then start week 1 veg from then on, if anyone can tell me otherwise that'll be great!
Had issues with the remaining 4 seeds, they appeared to be burrowing down into the coco and not sprouting, so dug into the coco a little bit and 2 sprouted under the coco for some weird reason, the remaining 2 didn't even sprout, just small tails for 6 days.
So as you can see the lower right one is catching up to the upper 2 seedlings. The lower right is about 24 hours behind, hopefully it isn't a weak genetic but doesn't look too good.
May have to buy more seeds and pop them again and restart at this rate.
UPDATE:
Bought new Gelat.OG seeds, popped 5 perfectly fine and will now put under the sprayed dome for 24-48 hours until 2-3 inches tall
Been under light for 48 hours: Day 1 30% Light power, Day 2 50% Light Power
Day 1 Veg starts Monday 15/11/21
Lower right seedling seems to be very far behind, looks like easy pickings for me on which 4 make it to the big pots!
Day 5 Potted up to the larger pots before their final transition to 20L next week!
Light is up to 80% power
Noticed one of the plants has a weird yellow stripe on it, almost like TMV, will keep an eye on it, seems to be performing well though
Tent is sat at the perfect VPD requirements
Wed 01/12
- 5th nodes started to come through now, once the 6th node has hit roughly 5-10mm in height i'll be topping down to 5 nodes again!
(SCRoG going up on saturday followed by LST and light defoliation)
- Cal-Mag deficiency has cleared up!
Sat 04/12
- Topped all Plants, 7th nodes had started but chopped the 6th off back down to 5 nodes on all plants.
- Very Slight yellow tips so will Cal Mag Foliar spray 30 mins before lights off.
- SCRoG set at 21cm above the medium
*note* one plant is now drinking double compared to the rest, most plants taking 1.25L feed every day, this one takes 2-2.5L daily!
Mon 06/12
- Took off the lowest fan leaves from every plant as they're just sat in darkness doing nothing
- Week 4 I will begin LST and Heavy Defoliate/Lolli-popping - Just ordered some LST Clips so they will be arriving tomorrow.
Wed 08/12
- Lightly defoliated all the plants, removed those massive plate sized fan leaves as so many of the node sites have been covered up by them.
- LST Clips on the largest plant just a couple as not all node sites are tall enough to be trained
Thur 09/12
- Heavy Defoliation to help ease the process of LST, tied down all the node sites and will use the LST clips on the taller sites
- *note* This strain seems to be growing from the middle up compared to mac which grew outwards so having an even canopy may be a lot harder and longer than usual, may extend veg by 1 more week.
Fri 10/12
- 24 Hours after the heavy defoliation all plants have majorly bounced back and look amazing! Seriously looking strong considering I took about 14 major fan leaves off each plant!
- Still only drinking 1.5L - in comparison, my last harvest at this time where drinking 3L each! But they still look huge so I'm more than happy
Sun 12/12
- Waited 2 days and then defoliated some more. More LST also and brought the SCRoG height up to 25cm
- All bounced back perfectly!
Saturday 13/13
- All plants look really strong and are loving the defoliation
- Noticed some CalMag signs appeared again so did another CalMag feed: 7L in total with 7ml CalMag
Wed 15/12
- Plants looking strong, back top-left hasn't responded too well to the LST and is quite a lot shorter than the other plants.
Thur 16/12
- Went in with some heavy defoliation again, won't be touching them again til sunday when I lollipop them!
- Top-Left plant again is looking quite stunted in comparison, hasn't took too well to the LST, hoping opening up the canopy to more airflow will help! Definitely a small plant but what can you do
Sun 19/12
- not going to Lollipop today, decided to add another week of veg to increase the canopy, I really want an even canopy, also thinking of Lollipopping in 1/2 weeks into flower to see which sites are developed and which are shit
Tues 21/12
- Just lightly defoliated before flipping into veg tonight. Struggling to decide what to clear out in the lower canopy as there's a lot of established sites there. Will wait to see 1 week into veg and then remove the shit sites.
Sun 26/12
- Removed a few node sites from the bottom of the plant as a light lollipop and continued to defoliate all the bottoms and clear out the old large fan leaves on top
Wed 29/12
- The plants are heavily Foliated especially the close right one and was wondering if i should do a heavy defoliate? Or should I leave it?
Thur 30/12
- Went in and cleared away the lower 30% of the 3 large plants and just defoliated the smaller plant.
Fri 31/12
- All plants including the smaller one have all bounced back and look really healthy, the smaller plant is nearly 20cm shorter than the largest which is annoying as now I can't get an even canopy.
Fri 07/01
- Small nugs are starting to form now shame the back left is so small doesn’t seem to want to grow or drink, trimmed some fan leaves that where covering node sites to help it, may raise the plant itself by 20cm or Soto help give it some light. The other plants tower over it
Wed 12/01
- Raised the stunted plant by a good 10” and also did some extreme lollipop and defoliation techniques to give the small plant a fight to survive and actually get some decent nugs off it
Fri 04/02
- Plants haven't changed during this phase, flushing has now started! 5L water each plant, twice a day! Using what's left of my Flawless finish, should be about 3 days of flushing.
Flawless finish 2ml per L in the morning, normal water at night.
Fri 11/02
- Flushing Finished ppm of the water is reading at exactly what we put in. 009 TDS, clean as a whistle!
DRY WEIGHT: 584G / 20.8OZ
Been an amazing harvest this time round, the strain only needed extra cal mag every 2 weeks so will keep in mind when growing again, never had any issues with this strain and had the perfect environment throughout!
Had the frame of my 1.2M tent in the middle of the 1.5 to allow easy access to the sides of the plants and allows room for humidifiers etc, would recommend others to do the same!
Will update in 12 days with the yield!
