I started germinating Fast Buds - Fastberry x 3 and Royal Queen Seeds - Diesel Auto x 1 on 5 June and as of 8 June, only 2 Fastberry are in soil and have popped their heads out. This grow is different as I'm going to be using Jiffy pots for starting them instead of putting them in their final pots once they sprout. I have seen it done (transplant) with Auto's so I'm hopeful. I am a little confused on what my PH level should be as people have been running between 5.7 and 6.7 for FB strains. I am shooting for around 6.2 PH. I am running Fox Farm Coco Loco soil in 5 gallon air pots. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 10 June: Well it will be Day 2 and all seems well so far, haha. I have 1 more Fastberry and a RQS Diesel Auto still in soil trying to germ. 11 June: Gave all 4 young ladies a root drench with Mykos WP.

I am running Fox Farm Coco Loco soil in this grow. What should my PH range be? The reason I am asking is I see a few successful grows with PH ranges in soil from 5.8 to 6.5 for Fastbuds strains. I am definitely confused as to what to keep my range at.

You are using a soil mix, meaning that it has organic matter, as such you should keep your pH between 6.0 and 7.0, 6.5 been the sweet spot, regardless if it has a bit of coco or not (which you do). When you are using soil less media, which is plain coco, or coco with perlite, or some other mix with no organic matter, then the pH you need is lower, between 5.5 and 6.5, 5.8 been the sweet spot in this case. With me so far? as long as you keep your pH between 6.0 and 7.0 you'll do fine,

18 June: I transplanted #1 and #3 of the 3 planted. FB #2 isn't looking good, and I will watch her. They are in 5 gallon air pots with Fox Farm Coco Loco with 10% Perlite, 10% Earthworm castings, 10% Bat Guano. I used Mykos for transplanting under the roots of the Jiffy pot before planting the babies. I will give them a Mykos root drench at weeks end. 21 June: All is well except for #2, she is looking really weak and stunted. I may have to pull her.

I haven't fed these girls anything yet because they are still feeding off of the soil. I will start feeding her around week 4 with 25% starting with and then work my way up to 50% and keep it there. I will have to try and keep these girls together feeding wise since they are 3 days apart.

I started the girls on nutrients on Day 25 @ 25% strength and will work up from there. #2 looks weak, like maybe she won't grow well, but I'll keep an eye on her. I also moved these girls from fluorescent lighting to my tent with the LED light installed.

Fuck, Day 28 I pulled #2 cause she was all jacked up and very weak looking. I wasn't trying to pull her through this one, so now I'm down to only 1. I don't have luck with FB genetics! I will be surprised if this one makes it through to harvest. This week is starting out with 25% strength and working my way up to 50% and tapering off there. She is starting to pre-flower, but I'm still counting this as a Veg week, and I should maintain that thought until her stretch stops.

Not much to say about this girl. She won't produce much as she is lanky. I'm surprised I kept a FB strain alive this long!! She seems fussy about air circulation. I have fan on her but her smaller leaves don't like it and are curling, which leads me to believe I may have another issue. 19 July: 6 weeks completed and she is doing well. If it is close to her needing water, she droops like a mofo, but other than that she seems to be right on track, and a fast flowering plant.

This week she has put on some vertical height for real. Out of control, lol! I'm still trying to get a feel for this girl. Hopefully she stops the vertical and goes straight to budding sometime soon as I can't have her go much more higher oshe will start getting light burned. I will have to work on a new tent in the near future.

Hey GD, This week I’ve had to use a few bamboo poles@ 3 ft tall to hold the branches up from falling over. She finally stopped, or really slowed vertical growth around Day 49 - Day 51. She has stopped at about 30 ¾” high. Her side branching is nice compared to others and her inner branches after the LST are catching up to the outside branches in height. I was worried If I would have to cut them off or not. She really doesn’t have much of a smell yet, but I’m very hopeful. Her buds are swelling for sure as I came in overnight, Day 53, and I could definitely tell a difference in size and appearance.

@Tophat You're doing fine, since the ideal pH range for soil growers is 6.0 - 6.5. Keep up the great work and happy growing! 👊
