Today 11/14/21 I began nutrients on my Banana Punch babies! Starting out light on the nutrients. Gonna start my IPM program on 11/15/21.
Using Athena IPM, gonna spray 60ml/gal twice a week until the 3rd week on flower when pistols really begin go develop. My one sprout was showing the slightest bit of liming, so I believe getting some calmag and nice starting nutrients in my coco will really help out these little babies.
So this week I did a few upgrades in my garage. First off, I insulated the garage itself to minimize wasting energy keeping my garage warm. Secondly I put a little space heater to help keep my temps more consistent, especially when my lights go out for 8 hours it tends to drop into the mid 50’s, which personally is too low for veg for me anyway. My babies are starting to do some growing now, and with this weeks little bump up in nutrients, I think they will begin to take off. I went up with the calmag as I’m using 100% coco coir as my medium, and it really does eat up a lot of Calmag. I think my babies will get nice and green and have a nice life in my updated garage. Lemme know what y’all think, I’m happy to share and document not only successful grows, but failures also with everyone. We need to humble ourselves and learn to be better from one another everyday. What’s growing on everyone? Hope everyone’s gardens are looking fire, this week my plants are starting to do some visual growth on the top, I think it’s roots are finally getting used to it’s little cups. I grow this strain commercially and it always stays small but I’ve never run it from seed before, super cool to watch. I didn’t change much in my veg tent at all except upped my daytime temps a little bit to keep my VPD right where I want it to be sitting at. The exciting upgrade I made to my garden this week was the sunsystem 1850 6 bar style LED I got for flowering on a Black Friday deal at my local grow shop. Came with a free gavita controller couldn’t beat it. That’s all I really have to report this week, good luck everyone, I’ll be back for another update next week. 💪🏼
Hello everyone, I’ve got some updates from my garden this week. First off I up potted my girls from the small foam cups I had them in, into 1 gal smartpots. I watered them in with the nutrients and amounts listed from my previous week. I also add 3ml of Orca for the beneficial bacteria Mycorrhizae when I transplant my plants into larger containers. It really get the roots going, giving me nice growth with no stress from the transplant itself. Still spraying my plants twice a week “mondays & Fridays” with Athena IPM. Seems to be working nicely. I also topped my plants this weekend for the first time. I took pictures before and after I topped them so everyone could see. This week I’ll get in here and start tying down branches when I see them wanting to start taking off. I also added a few yellow sticky traps just in case some fungus gnats make it into my coco. For now though everything is going smoothly. I hope y’all can say the same about yours gardens! That’s all I really have for everyone this week, thanks for viewing. This week isn’t much to update. Tied down some branches. Lowered my lamp for maximum efficiency vegetative growth. Got a 4x4 tent ordered so that I can flower in my current tent, and setup the 4x4 for veg growth next cycle and so on. The sun system 1850 will get put into my current tent 5x5 when it’s ready to flip this tent to flower. Got another ac infinity fan for the new veg tent. So things are all coming together. It’s been a lot of time, effort, and money, but it’s so rewarding to see all the pieces come together so I can grow some amazing medicine here at home. I run 150 light commercial grow myself, and its so nice to just have a change of pace at home to come work on and give each of my home plants the individual attention they deserve. What’s growing on everyone?!? This week I made a few changes in my grow. First off I uppotted my plants into 5 Gal smart pots. Watered them in with full regiment feed, and 3mL of Orca per gallon. My runoff EC came back 3.7, so for the next feed I hit them with half feed regiment to bring down the amount of salts stuck in my pots. I also swapped my grow light from my 315w CMH to my 720w sun system bar style LED. The plants the loving the new light and the growth is awesome! I took some pictures before and after topping my plants for ya. Glad to report no issues this week, hope to keep it this way. Happy growing everyone!!!
What’s growing on everyone?!?! My banana punch plants are about ready to go into flower here this upcoming week. They are just over a foot tall now, I pruned some leaves and stuff that was gonna end up being a waste of time and energy to the plants. Also allowing more airflow to freely come and go between the lower branches to help prevent PM or giving insects anywhere to begin to colonize. The plants are getting some real growers real charge once a week, they seem to be really taking nicely to that. Really happy with the shaping of all these plants so far. What’s growing on everybody?!?! Exciting week in my Banana punch grow! The plants are really growing quickly now. Got the light cycle switched over to 12/12, got my first layer of trellis screen put up so I can start weaving branches through. I also started the bloom feed today, which just substitutes the grow for the bloom as far as my botanicare line goes, I like to use a small about of MOAB to really get my plants to start flowering. I’ll have more boosters coming on in the later weeks of flower. I will continue with my IPM regiment of spraying Athena IPM twice a week until the third week of flowering, which at that point I will cut off all sprays. I plan on running this strain until my planned harvest date which is 3/13-3/20. I vegged until my plants were telling me they were ready to go to bloom, I let the shape and hardiness of my plants dictate when to flip them, I wasn’t rushing them. What’s growing on everybody!?! Not to much to report this week in my grow. The girls are starting to get that early flower stretch going and looking great! They are happily filling up the first layer of the scrog screen couldn’t ask for much more of the the shaping of these girls going on to week 2 of bloom. I’m gonna gonna be starting lightly on the flower boosters now. Just some big bud powder for now. Now much either it doesn’t take much to get desired effects from these products. gonna need to get some plants going in my 4x4 to have ready to flip into this tent after harvest! Hope everyone’s having an amazing start to the new year, never stop killing it and learning from growers better than ourselves each day!
This week I backed down on my bloom boosters a bit, I was noticing a little pistol burn beginning to develop on a few colas. So I went back to 10.5ml per gal on my initial bloom nutrient. As far as everything else goes, all is well, the EC in my run off climbed to 3.5 earlier last week, so I’m feeding 1.0 EC to Start this week to bring my runoff back down to where I want it. It’s starting to smell pretty great when I open the tent for sure!
Buds are really beginning to have a heavy aroma when I open the tent. They are very dense tightly spaced nugs. Really happy about everything right now.
