Velvet Heat

WNC_felix Not much to say yet! This seed was free, and I don't really know anything about the strain. So far it's too leggy, but I am not concerned about that - it has plenty of time to correct itself. I moved it closer to the lights as soon as I noticed, but it's a fine line between getting it too close and not close enough.

WNC_felix Nothing new to report on this young plant. The roots are starting to show up at the bottom of the start pot, so I'll bump it up this weekend.

WNC_felix This plant has done a strange thing (see photos) and curled out of the seed pod instead of growing straight up. I noticed it was leaning previously, but didn't think too hard about why. Now I see it's spiraled out of the pod and is growing a little bit sideways. I'm hoping it will be able to support itself, but I can stake it as needed. Anyway, all seems well otherwise, and I'll start giving it nutrients next week. I bumped it up to a 6" pot this week.

WNC_felix I noted the weird defect in how this seed germinated last week. So far it seems to be holding itself up...I anticipate staking it as it gets heavier. Otherwise it's doing great...I started giving it a very low dose of nuts this week.

WNC_felix Still going great. It continues to sprawl due to the germination defect, but it's supporting itself for now.

WNC_felix The stem on this plant is bananas. See photo. I have been worried about it supporting itself since it germinated in a strange way, but it's SOLID - it basically has a trunk is a HUGE root structure (that is actually part stem). Anyway, looks great. Height shrunk as inch as it's growing more out than up, but I'm going to let it lead the way and not force it...It seems incredibly health and happy.
