11/11/21 Remembrance day. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Thank you Welcome to my Garden of Green Autumn cup diary. I was lucky enough to get some free samples of their Expert Seeds for their Autumn cup. Unfortunately this grow hasn't started off too well, but I'm still looking at a strong finish. So thanks in advance for reading, welcome again, & good luck with your grow, and good luck to the competition. Let's grow some wicked buds and get FUBAR :) Shall we begin?..... 2/11- SURPRISE!! My seeds were sitting in the mail box waiting for me. 1x 5+3 pack of Expert gorillas, aka Gorilla Glue #4, and a free GoG seed. The expert seeds looked really good, fat, & dark in colour. The GoG seed didn't look as good. Unfortunately it was already split open. I'll try germination straight into some soil. I promptly setup my greenhouse. I filled my cup with mineral water ph'd to 6, put 3 gorillas in. Covered in foil, set inside greenhouse on vivosun heat mat. 4/11- They've split open, now to put them into some moist EazyPlugs with a dusting of Mychorrhiaze. I use the water they were soaking in & give them 1mL in the morning & evening to keep the plugs moist. Lift plug pot up after watering to let out any excess. I want moist, not soaking. 7/11. I haven't noticed any change or seen any growth in the plug holes so i've decided to try germinate the rest of my seeds. If they all turn out, I'll try a Sea of Green in the Jungle or something. This time I soaked my EazyPlugs in plain mineral water, put 4 of the seeds direct into the plugs. I took the final gorilla seed and put it directly into some enriched potting mix/soil i had sitting out back for the veggies. I'll give them all 1mL or mineral water in the morning & evening to keep plugs moist. Now we sit & wait again. 11/11 - Yew bloody beauty!!!! 3 gorillas have broken ground! The one in the soil, & 2/4 that were planted directly into the cubes. Still waiting on the first batch. I'll move the greenhouse to the tent soon. Using a full spectrum LED fishtank light on low for 1st day. I'm not holding my breath on the first batch to be honest. 15/11- 1mL of mineral water in the evening & the morning so far, and they're looking happy. 1 in the plug is a little on the weak side, but that will hopefully change in the coming weeks with nutrients.

18/11 Welcome back to another week. So i gave the ladies their names today. Plugger, Joe Dirt, & Gruntz. The healthy and vigorous Plugger, germinated in an EazyPlug, was transferred to her DWC bucket today. Her roots were wrapping around the plug more than a few times. Really impressed. She's got her top feed going with with just a dose of Nimbin Nutrients White Rhino Mycorrhiaze, & half dose of Terra Aquatica's CalMag. The rain water I'm using had a ppm reading of 006, so i added thd calmag to ensure the Plugger had some food. I'll keep checking on her to ensure she's handling the top feed. Next up Joe Dirt. Born in the dirt, she looked a little weak at first, but her colour is starting to look really good. Not as good as Plugger, but better than when she first popped. I'm giving her 5ml in the morning & evening. Just plain mineral water now with a ppm of 108 and ph 6.6. Dome life till she gets next set of leaves. Last up, Gruntz. She's looking like a runt already. Slow & small growth. Still waiting on first serrated leaves to properly form. She's not liking the intensity of the light so she's still under the greenhouse dome. 21/11- Plugger has her first set of true leaves and she already onto the next set. She has taken to the top feed like a duck to water. Joe has got her first true leaves and top cover. Gruntz has been moved to top feed. May as well, she can't get any worse. Her roots were wrapped around the plug so thats a good sign. Half dose of CalMag and full dose Mycorrhiaze.

25/11 Week 2 in the DWC begins! Welcome back to my Garden of Green Autumn Cup diary. Nutrients start today for Plugger & Joe Dirt. Plugger's details are filled in the diary section above, & i'll put Joe's & Gruntz in down below. I'm very happy with Plugger & Joe's growth so far, both have got their first pairs of 3 finger leaves. They havent been perfect, but they're still powering along & looking good. Now they're a little stronger i can start on feeding them & feel out what they need. Even Gruntz is starting to turn around. Her leaves were not looking good at all, very out of shape and mangled. But i persisted, stuck her in the top feed, now she's pushing out another node which looks very healthy. On my budget i can't afford to waste germinated seeds just because they're not perfect. If she doesn't peform, I'll cut right back on nutes, she won't want them any way, & just take her training & trimming lightly. She will get a water change on Sunday, depending on where she is at, i may go 1/4 dose nutes. Joe Dirt's feed schedule looks like this- I'm using Terra Aquatica TriPart Series. Most people know this as the General Hydroponics Flora Trio. As they have changed they're name but not updated it on here, i will continue to enter them manually as that is what my bottles read. So her feed goes like this, half recommend dose .3mL/L Grow .3mL/L Micro .3mL/L Bloom .5mL/L CalMag .5g Nimbin Nutrients White Rhino Total ppm 368, pH 6.2 I've made up a 2Ltr bottle for the week, & today I watered till runoff started, then let sit in the runoff tub to wick. After she has sat for a little, I let her drain. Now all I'll do is feed her 25mL in the morning & evening till she looks hungry and I'll start icreasing the amount. 1/12 Topping today. Decided to call it on Plugger & Joe. I want to keep them at roughly the same stages so i topped them both today. Joe has ended up being a trifoliate, so i topped her to keep the 3 growth points. Plugger is powering ahead though. Plugz was producing her 7th node while Joe had only just put out her 6th. Feed day tomorrow. Switching to veggie feed tomorrow. If you're in Oz and need good quality Mycorrhiaze, please visit Nimbin Nutrients. Top quality at a very reasonable price. A MASSIVE shoutout to Garden of Green with a huge THANK YOU again for running the competition and giving us all the opportunity to grow some free delicious buds.

When counting nodes for the first topping, which node is number 1? The cotyledons? First single serrated leaf? 1st 3 fingered leaf? I'm counting pairs of leaves as those are where the nodes are, just not sure which to count as number 1. Personally, i say first 3 fingered leaf

Hey bro,, I start from the first set of true leaves, or 3 fingered leaves. Mainly it’s important to be well enough established to recover without too much shock

2/12- Week 3 Begins Recovery after topping is going well. Wound is healing nicely and leaves are turning up towards the light. 7/12 Some light LST today. Beefy arms on Plugger & I've managed to save the 3 growth points on the trifoliate Joe. So happy with that. Now I'll have an extra 4 Kolas. Gruntz will be getting topped next week. Because she's a runt, I'm going to keep the 3rd & 4th node growths and leave it at a single topping, maybe. I'm am blown away by the growth, Plugger is huge!

9/12/21 week 4 begins :) Welcome back to my Garden of Green Autumn Cup Contest entrant. MASSIVE SHOUT OUT!! THANK YOU again to Garden of Green for giving us the opportunity to grow some quality plants and holding the competition Another week of solid growth has passed, & a new week begins. The girls are looking great. Plugger is a big girl, so healthy & vibrant, she's close to putting her 4th node out on her mainline. When the 5th comes through i will top her again for her final time. She's getting a V8. Joe is beautiful. She's kept her trifolate growth going and she's pushing all 3 out pretty evenly now. I'm trying for 12 kolas, being a tri, is she a rotary 12 or V12? Lol car jokes. Gruntz is looking great too. She may be smaller but she is still looking good. More compact than her sisters, so I've topped her once and kept 2 nodes to branch out. I won't top her again, maybe, as she is small, & her light schedule will be sticking with the other ladies. Just some light LST until the nodes come in for another topping. Keeping the ladies low. All girls are now on their veggie mix, Plugger & Joe are at 1/2 dose, Gruntz is on 1/4 dose. CalMag for Plugger n Gruntz to supplement the rainwater. All my girls have healthy & strong white roots thanks to Nimbin Nutrients White Rhino Mycorrhiaze. If you're in oz, i highly recommend them for healthy strong plants of all varieties.

16/12 Week 5 Not alot to say, I forgot to update on the week so I've forgotten alot of what happened. I did transfer Joe to her final pot. A 10 gal fabric bag i used to grow spuds in. I used the same soil from the spuds as well. Just a blend of 3 mix manure compost, premium potting mix, & prrmium soil blend. It drains well but holds enough water to stay moist. There was a lot of growth and it gets better.

23/12 Week 6 begins! Sorry everyone who's following. Ive been busy with a harvest, kids, Christmas so i missed updating on the day. As you can see, a lot of growth has been happening. All girls are coming along very nicely and you can hardly tell Gruntz was a runt. I switched to 12/12 on the 27th. I've chosen to do so now as I'm concerned these ladies are going to get too big if i hold off. I've given enough room to double in height plus a little more if they need it. I've given them all a defol, some more LST, took some clones from Plugger, it's all happening. The growth is really strong and I'm impressed. Big fat healthy leaves, steams, no health issues so far.

30/12/21 Week 7 Begins. So today was feed day and the ladies got their first dose of preflower nutes. I've switched to preflower nutes as i switched to 12/12 to encourage the start of flowering. In about 3 weeks I'm expecting to see the start of some flowers and I'll switch to flowering feed. All ladies are at half recommended dose and not showing any signs of any deficiency. Plugger is looking so strong. She stands the tallest at about 45cm. Big fat thick healthy leaves. Gave her a light defol of the lower nodes. Her clones haven't shot any roots out yet but they're not wilting and a couple of growth tips have gotten ever so slightly bigger. They're not dead yet :) Not sure how I'm going to go if they do take off. Running out of room in the jungle. Joe is looking wonderfull. She is a little slower in growth rate but she looks just as healthy. I can even say there's a difference in colour. DWC light emerald green leaves all over, Soil, really dark green leaves. Gruntz is no longer a runt. She has come full circle now and is keeping up. Not as big as plugger but she's not falling behind.

20/1/22 week 10 Begins. First, Apologies. Been too busy to sit down and put the time in to write a decent entry. Please forgive me, I'm sure you understand. Cheers. 3 weeks since flip and all i can say is (Borat accent) "Very Nice". Plugger n Gruntz both had a really good stretch. Gruntz at one point grew over 25cm across 2 days. She sits slightly higher than plugger. Please go back and have a look at her beginnings before you leave my diary today. If your little gem is struggling at the start, don't despair. Just nurture and give them a little extra care & that little runt or deformed seedling may surprise you yet. Joe is a little more compact. My guess is the fact she is grown in soil. Still has lovely emerald green leaves and her nodes are closer together. Everything is looking right on track to me. Changed up my routine as well. As well as a weekly water change, now when the reservoirs gets low I'll replace with a fresh batch instead of topping up with ph'd water. If the water is there after 1 week, I'll still replace. So far so good. Just for something interesting, 'lil g' from my 1st grow, an auto gorilla glue, well she had a tiny green shoot at harvest. I left this on and the results are very cool. A 2nd harvest may be in the future. Looking good. Any one had this happen? Specifically with an auto that vegged n flowered twice? I'll leave on that. Thanks for the time.

Only joe is left. The shed got flooded, humidity sat at over 90% for 5-6 days straight. Bud rot set in and started showing as humidity came back down. Had to harvest plugger n gruntz early by 2 weeks or i would have lost more. Threw out nearly a KG wet from when i remembered to weigh it. Saved some n joe dirt is still going. So far I've got 255g cured. Been smoking a 50g jar from an early trim as well. Joe won't pull huge numbers but she'll be the ripest.

Harvested the final lady today 29/3, Joe Dirt. She was so easy to grow, & she made it through a full cycle. She rven survived the Great Rot Plague of February 22. She just didn't get very big. But she smells superb. So sticky when cutting. So for my wet weights I've added the pretrim harvest which occured 4.5 weeks ago, Plugger n Gruntz, and Joe today. I did not include the bud rot which was over a KG when i remembered to weigh the 2nd bucket before i dumped it. So now we cure Joe and get the final died n cured weight
