Let 5 seeds sit in water just under 24hrs then used the paper towel method and kept the plate covered, on top of my fridge. Tap root came to be in a matter of 1-2 days for all 5 in which I transferred them to a small aerogarden using old equipment I had for herbs in the past. The plastic domes helped w/moisture as the tap root grew like crazy, up and around at first. After 10 days it took my two best looking seedlings to the tent and still have the other three in the aerogarden just in case.
Raised the light a bit- not sure if dealing with nute burn or potassium deficiency. Also not sure if my plant is naturally just pulling resources from its leafs already for flowering. Please share your thoughts! Thanks!
Trimmed out some, flushed and replenished the nutrients- looking at 3/4 more weeks until it’s done I think!
Plant seems very healthy- and dense! I can see needing proper airflow in harvest will be important. Any insight on Hindu mints/kush afghani strains hit me up!
For the last week I have been flushing nutrients. There is a lot of young growth in that the leaves have now just started to turn dark green- very bushy plant. Almost seems the buds started to re-bud. Trichomes are white not many amber, with the hairs just starting to wilt. Seems as if certain parts of the plant are at different budding/flowering phases. I am shocked I have had this in flower for so long. Any input would be great!
My Hindu Mints plant seems to be in different phases of flowering (top buds looking mature, med/low canopy looking young). I pushed this to flower close to 2 months ago. Flushing PH water through this plant for a week now. Any advice as to what’s going on, gotta cut it down soon?
Stagger your harvest... take off the mature top colas and allow the rest to finish up.
sometimes logistics is a concern... if you got the time to leave them there, you an let the lower buds ripen longer.
if not, you cut it down and move on.
When you harvest takes time to learn what you prefer. Take note of:
Trichome colors,
Pisitl colors
Density of nugs
Try early-middle-late harvests over time to learn what you prefer. Using these 3 keys will keep you fairly consistent as to when you choose to harvest and how to adjust when you harvest in a meaninful way.
You don't have to cut the whole plant down at once... if the lower regions are immature, you can let those go longer, if not a pain in the ass otherwise. While it is quite stressful to the plant to remove large chunks, it takes 3-4 weeks for cell differentiation to occur and give rise to nanners and sacs... That simply won't happen due to anything in that time frame. If they do pop up, it's because of what was done 3-4 weeks ago and not the last week of life.
