Welcome to week 6 of my autoflower crossing.
This weed looks like grass but not in the weedictionary kind of grass, just take a look at those pictures.
But its still in vegetative state, to keep it in veg another week will be a fight against the new splits of the leaves, the difficulty degree is rising too now. But again, so far so good, my strain is a bit sensitive to stress, but no male signs visible so far and branching is quite wide. I love this technique β€οΈπ€€
Technique: keep auto's longer in vegetative state, recommended by ZZPot-Dasboof / GD afternoon club
Genetics: auto crossing between
Dizzy Duck / Dutch Delight seeds - Sugar Kush (the Netherlands, Den Haag)
And
BCN Critical XXL (Spain, Barcelona)
This plant does not like to train, just like me, but the technique seems to work.
Strain info; above normal yielding, high thc 22%+ total cannabinoid levels can exceed 30%+ easily, big for an auto.
Yields good in poor conditions too.
Average to low smelling plant.
Substrate: Coco, enriched with bat guano and limestone
still might have worked because it's still early days, but you do want to get them just at the point where they are splitting , meaning like a mutating 4 finger leaf type of thing, my point is even earlier is better, and usually all it takes for the trigger is a 5 pointed one. it's a tough thing to stay on top of , good luck ! π
@CRiSPrGrow,every day a couple of minutes removing leaves at the split, sometimes twice a day, no flowering signs yet and we're in week4 now, in 10l containers this starts to flower around Day 21, thanks
@Smokwiri, genetics is still the main thing : you want to choose longer lifecycle autos like those that yield bigger, you can do it more with them , those that go quick are that much harder to do...
With all respect, this plant is still in 60 g max area and it's week 9 .... I was hoping for all mass to be way bigger at that moment ..
Still don't count chickens ...
All the best !!!
@Smokwiri, π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€ i guess we can crown you king of autos, not exactly the king we expected but let's be honest , you're as good as any if not better than most π
@AsNoriu,BOOFTEK is a bit like HST and topping, bit all auto's like it. But it works, i have two of the same in 1 container, the other one was booftek'ed untill week 7 and had Just started it flowers, the plant size quadriples
@Maskedcucumber,remove all leaves with more than 3 fingers. As soon as they split from the stem, its getting more difficult to keep up since the internodes are getting tighter day by day (hard to reach the split)
Didn't knew bout this technique on autos will share for sure! Bro, take a look my diary of 2021 strain called Crazy Dream. That's mine "Nugbuckets own technique" I guess lol! Good Luck at harvest
LMFAO growmie "The technique recommended by Dasboof, i think its a a secret plot to grow massive amounts of weed and outgrow the others, but he doesn't want me to tell you he engineered it." took me a while to get through the write up , gotta stay anon when you swing so large growmie ! π₯ π
@CRiSPrGrow, that's just a good strain, all 3 repeated themself.
Let's see how it pans out, for outdoors it's a fun experiment with possible result, but still amount and consistency of actions is huge for Gorilla grow , so it becomes very limited technique ...
@CRiSPrGrow, count on my trying this technique come April / May when I prep for the summer. Some of my Friends will receive a βHarriedβ plant or two.
Once again DB, Thanks for sharing.
This Spring / Summer will see Auto outside for sure
@CRiSPrGrow,I'm at that point, but im trying and so far i managed to remove m in time. The plant wants to flower, some pistils are showing on the stems... Updating tomorrow
@Smokwiri, it will come to a point where you cant keep it up anymore , miss one and the trigger is pulled so to speak, glad to see some interesting results here , congrats growmie π
i'm quite sure you'll be allowed to defoliate later on aswell... glad this worked out, i've been nervous for it , but as you can see it's a trigger based flowering for the auto plant. truly understanding how it actually works is important, and it teaches you so so much about the plant itself. glad i could share and you could partake in this π
@Smokwiri, @growdiairies should make BOOFTEK into a selectable technique ... @growdiairies, make it happen : it's a unique technique, homegrown and shared on your site it would make sense to have a grow technique you can select.
@CRiSPrGrow,thanks growmie, i'm glad to participate in this test, i'm still learning, last weeks i missed a few spot 1 or 2 days, but i was lucky it didn't trigger flowering. It's a great technique which should be shared, many would like to try such thing, maybe add the more BOOFTEK'able strains to some database or list in the future. Thanks for the great TEKβ€οΈπ²
Merry Christmas to everyone
