Going to start adding fox farm grow bigger liquid nutrients as soon as they come in the mail and transfer to a 3 gallon bag with the same medium (fox farm ocean forest).
Light is 12” @ 50% // Temp 80.2F // 62% hum.
Nope, you're good. you can start to harass these little fellows as soon as they are established! I start as soon as I see the start of auxiliary branches
Hittin’ 5 weeks she’s starting to show her sex pistils. Got a good LST going. Leaves nice and green. This is my 2nd grow so I think it’s going ok so far. No bad signs.
Now that she is showering her pistils, does this mark the beginning of pre-flowering? Also should I begin the switch from vegetative nutrients to flowering nutrients or keep with the vegetative nutrients until more pistils show?
She is just showing her sex at the moment. She is still in veg. When those areas get heavier growth, thicker white hairs starts to appear which indicates flowering stage. Start you bloom nutrients then. I would start with 1/3 recomended dose. Mixing a half and half off grow/bloom nutrients for the first couple of weeks then just bloom thereafter. I hope this help, good luck
This was a rough week for her. A little late posting but going into week six I accidentally broke off the main top cola on my autoflower and a good branch during LST. The plant still looks healthy but it might’ve slowed the growth a little bit so I’m marking it as still in vegetative before I mark it as flowering even though more pistils are starting to show up. Probably will start flowering nutrients and stop vegetative nutrients next week after a small flush.
Here we go! Going into week 7 I’m seeing the signs of the beginning of pre-flowering so I’m marking this as the start of flowering! I have 9 good branches with what should turn into some nice buds. The top main cola that broke off a couple weeks ago doesn’t look like it did much harm, the 2 nodes that were growing near it are looking strong so I might have 2 nice colas further into flowering maybe 🤷♂️🏼 I did a flush with straight ph balanced water a few days ago and today did my first watering with the flowering nutrients and stopped using vegetative nutrients. Let’s see how it goes!
She’s coming along nice, not much change from last week. Just looking like the pistils on the bud sites are becoming more plentiful. She’s also starting to get a little frosty! :D
Pistils starting to turn a little Amber, buds filling in a little more and trichomes starting to have nice coverage, everything is looking good so far!
A few days late to posting, trying to fit this plant into a 2x2x3 tent has been a challenge with LST but heading into weeks 11-12 the pistils are about 40% amber to white ratio. Trichomes are still very clear and not cloudy yet. Buds are filling out more but still waiting for that final swell. Everything looking good so far!
This is the home stretch!! Buds had their final little burst in size and all the trichomes are nice and cloudy, so for me, it’s time to harvest. I’m doing one more flush with ice water and putting her in total darkness for 48 hours. Gonna chop her in a few days once the soil has dried out and just take off some big fans leaves and hang her up to dry for a few days!
So I thought I was going to harvest last week but I decided not too because there were still a good bit of white pistils and none of the trichomes had turned amber yet so I pushed it another week. Well I still have some white pistils and am thinking gonna let it ride a little bit longer. Just giving it a good flush right now.
Happy with my first grow! Was relatively easy for my first time, had no issues other than buds not getting as fat as I wanted but still came away with 35g from 1 plant in a 2x2x3 tent with 1 small 100 watt grow light so all in all I say it was a success!
