Placed three purple punch auto flowers from Royal queen seeds. Two of three germinated. So 66% success rate. Three days germination. After the tap root came the one on the right was fine I did nothing. At five days I started 1/4 tsp grow big and 1/2 tsp big bloom staying under 200 ppm. The one on the left had trouble penetrating the sponge so I cut the sponge lengthwise and stretching the root down straight. Afterwards the tap root got better and stronger.
After adding an aquarium pump with two stones and the aerovoir revoir to the tank I am confident about the ph and ppm. I am staying at 6.11 ph and between 200 to 500 ppm
I am using the vivosun ph and ppm meters. I purchased the supplemental aerogarden lights that are 45 watt led so three of those one above and two for side lights. I am a medical patient tired of dispensary prices. This is my first grow in twenty years. I had great success with the aerogarden years ago but was limited by light height. I want to prove this is easy for beginners like me. Twenty years ago I knew nothing about autoflower so this is great.
Both plants of purple punch auto by Royal queen seeds are doing well. At day 17 the one on the right is about three inches and the left is a half inch and getting bushy. Very pleased with two out of three germination and now vegetative growth. I can see purple in the stems. The new fan leaves are five fingers after first sets were only three.
Raised the lights today. Yesterday I replaced water and cleaned the tank after noticing chlorophyll build up around pump. Overnight it seems the two of them drank a half liter. I topped off the aerovoir reservoir this morning.
So changing the water helped bring ph back in range. lots of new root growth and New leaves everyday. Monitoring for Brown spots but I think I corrected ph and nutrients
Best of luck with your grow! I agree with you, the prices and taxes at the dispensaries are through the roof. I'll be checking back to see how your aerogarden grow progresses. 😎💪
So I had some nutrient burn I have been keeping the ppm around 200 but fed a day early and the following morning both had brown spots on all older growth. So I flushed and changed the water in the aerogarden resovoir. Then after some thought I decided to no longer feed in the aerogarden resovoir directly and try an IV approach using the aerovoir extra resovoir to house the nutrient solution already diluted by gallon. Then I measured the water in the aerogarden and it was 130ppm. My well water is 96ppm with nothing added. So after pruning the brown leaves and rearranged the large leaves under new leaves to get light down there and I think it will be a better start to week four
