Purple Punch

Red_eyed_optimist This is my second run of Purple Punch. The 1st run was grown under a MARS HYDRO TS1000 using GH 3 part grown in Fox Farm soil. This time around I'm using my HLG 260W with GAIA GREEN nutrients and RECHARGE grown in Fox Farm soil. I'm not expecting the 8oz that i got from 2 plants the 1st run (veg 55 days)..however I am expecting better quality. There was a few mistakes (learning experiences) with the 1st grow that I won't make again.

Red_eyed_optimist On day 12 I transplanted into 3 gallon final pots. I mixed 50/50 FF ocean forest/happy frog with a 2 Tbsp of Gaia Green 4-4-4 in each bucket. I sprinkled RECHARGE on the roots before transplant and watered with a PH of 6.5.

Red_eyed_optimist At the end of week 3 they're standing in at 7 and 9 inches tall...watering every couple days at a PH of 6.5 and getting RECHARGE once a week.

Red_eyed_optimist On day 26 I removed 4 giant fan leaves from each plant so more light can penetrate the plant and on day 28 I started to low stress train the larger plant so there both standing at 11'' tall.

Red_eyed_optimist At the end of week 5 my girls are still standing at 11'' tall only because I've pulled down some branches to even out the canopy. I top dressed 2tbsp of 4-4-4, 1tbsp of 2-8-4 and 2tbsp of worm castings and I've started to clean up all the bottom growth.

Red_eyed_optimist So at the end of week 6 The canopy is looking pretty level and there standing in at 13'' tall. I did some defoliating on day 39 and they also received their weekly RECHARGE. I'm gonna give them another week in veg, maybe pull them down a bit more.

Red_eyed_optimist This was the last week of veg..They got pulled down a bit more and some of the bigger fan leaves got were trimmed. There starting Flower at 14'' tall and are going to be top dressed in a couple of days.

Red_eyed_optimist After the first week of flower I'm seeing what I think is a nitrogen deficiency...I top dressed mid week so I hope they bounce back soon..if not, I might look into foliar feeding. There standing in at 16'' tall.

Red_eyed_optimist So at the end of week 2 my girls are standing in at an average 18'' tall with a couple of colas reaching 20''. I did some defoliating on day 10 and 14 to help with any micro climates forming...with more to come.

Red_eyed_optimist At the end of week 3 my girls are standing 21'' tall...I gave them a pretty good defoliation on day 20 and they received there weekly RECHARGE on day 21.

Red_eyed_optimist 4 weeks in the books and I'm trying to deal with a deficiency...I brewed up a tea this week and top dressed on day 27 so we'll see what happens.

Red_eyed_optimist At the end of week 5 the leaves are starting to frost up and buds are looking pretty good. I'm pulling off all the dead leaves as I find.them. Tomorrow will be there last dose of RECHARGE.

Red_eyed_optimist So with another week in the books not much has changed accept the buds are swelling and I keep picking off the dead leaves. The top dressings are done...maybe one more tea next week.

Red_eyed_optimist 7 weeks in the books and I'm hoping another 3 to go. I thought the smell would be stronger..but living in an apartment I guess it's a good thing.

Red_eyed_optimist At the end of week 8 I'm starting to see some purple on the leaves. The buds are getting thicker and I'm seeing some nice frost...One more week and I'll start scoping the buds.

Red_eyed_optimist 9 weeks in the books....and when my wife starts to comment on the smell, I know I have 7 to 10 days before they get chopped.

Red_eyed_optimist Day 70...the last day of flower. They're currently sitting in darkness until tomorrow when they get chopped and hung up to dry for 7 to 10 days. I'm hoping to get the tent at 60/60 for drying.

Red_eyed_optimist I ran into some issues with this organic grow...managed 417g which should last me 4-5 months when I add it to my rotation.
