I'm confused as to where I am looking when determining tricome color. Do I look at the sugar leaves, or the calyx, for color change. I've included photos of both the sugar leaves and calyx if you can assist me before it overripens.

Hi there ! You have to look every parts of the plants , Calyxes & Suga leaves ! But not only : Take a look at every bud sites and you will notice different stage on each parts ! The upper buds could have a different trichomes ratio (amber/cloudy) than the lower buds while a sugar leaf can have a different ration from the bud she's from. The effect you'r gona get from a bud will be way different in terms of you trichomes colour ratio, so it's an important think to consider when harvesting ! I prefer a 30%amber / 70%cloudy ratio to avoid any couch lock effects !! I hope it will help you for the best

Hi @VT420! You should look onto the buds, both calyxes & sugar leaves. Depending on the environment some buds may look ready and some others won't, in that case you can harvest step by step, or you can cut as it is and enjoy different effects on different buds. As I prefer energetic high, I tend to cut once all the trichomes have turned milky, sometimes even before the amber trichomes appear. It's up to you, but your judging on your last pictures I think you're good to harvest now. You can do it before the light turns on if you want the most of the terpenes. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and enjoy your harvest! 👊

The simple answer is all of the above. Check the sugar leaves, caylx, buds etc. and check a few different sites. Not just the tops. Good luck!👍

Critical has been my favorite since she was born. I'm excited to see the development and it went into flower about two days after my Tangie girl. Tangie is budding bigger but you never know what Critical will do in two days.

@VT420, Hey! I also grew a tangie auto with a critical purple. The buds on the tangie were much bigger but in the end produced less than half the purple. I'm sure it was my lack of nutes on it. Good luck!

Critical cutting from one of the lowest branches that had no sun and was punny. Just a few hairs and I'm not worried if it works or not.
