And rounding out the tent this grow is Mimosa Champagne! It sounds super tasty so I’m excited. Got these seeds as part of a contest win from Female Seeds—thanks! The seed popped hard and fast, with the root showing less than 24hours after getting it started in wet paper towels. Left it for two further days to develop before planting directly into the 5L pot it’ll stay in. Soil is Biobizz Allmix. Here’s what Female Seeds has to say about this strain: Mimosa was by Symbiotic Genetics, the Mimosa strain is a rising star in the cannabis community. It has an unparalleled aroma and effect. We have crossed a particularly frosty and smelly pheno of Mimosa with an extremely vigorous and fast Champagne Kush father. The resulting hybrid is simply the perfect daytime companion for all. e It has an exceptional uplifting and boosting high: a great way to indulge in the morning. Mimosa Champagne produces medium to large size buds. Lush dark green to purple and blue shades, ultimately giving this strain an amazing bag appeal. This strain doesn’t grow too tall, and doesn’t branch out much. A trait inherited from its Indica lineage. The dense, large cone-shaped buds are covered in a blanket of white trichomes. Mimosa Champagne has an appealing contrast for the eye of the gardener. Mimosa Champagne is a heavy feeder and needs above-the-average levels of Nitrogen in vegetative stage. She requires a higher dosage of phosphorus and potassium to maximise terpenes productions. It is recommended the use of a complex healthy soil medium rich in essential nutrients, to support the plants in all the stages. This wonderful strain produces an exceptional uplifting high on the user. Mimosa Champagne makes anyone talkative and can be definitely described as a roller-coaster experience. Recent analysis show high levels of limonene and linalool for this strain. That explains its outstanding energetic, uplifting and social high. Whilst beta-caryophyllene acts on the users as a stress reliever. Not a couch-locker, but your new best daily companion.

A friend is looking after the plants while we’re with the family so limited pictures. No nutes or anything, the Allmix should be good enough. The water is dechlorinated but otherwise not manipulated (our water is very hard). Glad to see those little leaves peeping out! Thanks Female Seeds for the contest prize!

Happy new year! Came home to mostly happy plants, so all good here. Nutrients will start properly next week; for this week just dechlorinated water. Thanks Female Seeds for the contest prize!

Really pleased with growth after a slower start. Not as big as the Chem OG (also from Female Seeds) but not a huge difference. It’s responded well to the FIM and all good so far.

Man this one is happy with the FIM. I also removed the first big fan leaves to allow more light to get to lower growth sites. Will flip to flower soon. Still light on the nutes and it looks very happy. Got some gnats and so broke out the yellow trap paper. So far it’s worked very well.

I took off a few of the big fan leaves to allow more light to flowering sites. Flipped to flower 6 days ago and maybe just the first signs of flowering are starting to show. Otherwise pleased with growth. Flies are basically gone too.

Another happy week, though not much vertical growth. I’m basically just removing some fan leaves at this stage, trying to make sure light and air can get to as much of the plant as possible. Starting to taper veg nutrients and move to flowering. No recurrence of flies. All good!

Some nice little buds appearing. A few purple stems appearing so have added a little Algamic. No other apparent problems; just been taking off some fan leaves. Really pleased with this past week.

Another week done. Some strong bud growth. Still growing vertically as well. No problems with bugs or nutes so far either. I’ve stopped the Biogrow and have added a little Algamic.

Absolutely no drama so far, barely even some purple stems. Good bud growth, vertical growth has pretty much stopped. Lovely to see all the trichromes popping out and the smell is getting much stronger.

Defoliated a bit. This one is super low and dense. The buds seem to be growing out more than up! Otherwise it seems happy—super frosty and smells great. Some pistils starting to turn orange but just the very start.

A bit of a weird one. The buds aren’t forming well. It’s super frosty and not showing nute issues, so I guess it’s genetics. If it keeps up like this I guess I’ll make butter or something. Smells good though.

Deficiencies all over the place this week. But buds are still a bit weirdly squat. Loads of trichromes though. Maybe another week or two before flushing for two weeks. Smells strong now.

Really getting into senescence now. Trimmed some dying leaves. It’s still showing signs of deficiencies, I think calcium and potassium. Buds are still not fattening up, despite how lovely and frosty they are. Maybe will save a tiny bit to smoke and the rest will go to make butter.

A brief update since a friend is looking after my plants. Getting closer to harvest now! Definitely some nute issues but hopefully the buds are okay.

Super lovely stuff. Heady without being thin or buzzy. An energetic and contented high, some euphoria. Lovely strong orange terpenes.

This was a weird one. It didn’t ever really fatten up, but didn’t have obvious huge nute issues or hermie or anything. I got a bit more than I’d worried I’d get, but still a low yield. But the bud itself is great; smells and tastes great, super frosty too.
