Don't call it a comeback but I had to give this seed another run. This was one of my first ever grows using only nature living soil and she was a beauty. Didn't like the smoke for about the first 2 months or so then I sat her for a longer cure and that did the trick, I'm running low so I decided to do it all over again. She has sativa type fan leaves already and is growing very similar in structure from the first run, I'm gonna push the nutes very hard to see but the roots organics line is pretty safe. I may switch her to Advanced Nutrients Iguana Juice once it arrives
Topped her but I probably shouldn't have done so because I'm not too thrilled with her size at the moment. Leaf structure is clearly sativa so it could have a spirt, I am considering putting her on synthetic nutes to promote more growth. Don't want to force organics and the plant will respond to something else
Tripled the amount of grow this week, ain't like Roots Organics is giving away NPK in each tablespoon. The plant has responded to the increased feeding but I don't think it'll reach a good height or size in the next 2 weeks on the organic nutes. I will give it another week of this type of feeding and then make a decision on switching the feeding line. I refuse to have the same situation I had last run with some small plants.
Been very busy with life to update my diaries but here I am. Did some lollipopping and doing the training I should've done during my last cycle that left to bad yields, my wife was pretty upset with me bout that but fear not lol. I was trying to decide on continue organically with this plant due to how it was responding, I doubled the nutes or tripled it rather (the base grow) and I got the results I was looking for BUT also dodged a bullet that went left with my Nova OG. Organic nutes are very ammonia based since its bat shit etc, too much will throw the Ph off in the medium making you think cal mag will fix it. Its actually locking out the magnesium due to the Ph being low. But anyway she's all stretched out and ready to flip. Stay tuned.
Loving the new nutes and so do the plants, very happy with this switch and in only 1 weeks the plant is showing pre-flowering. Ive never experienced this before so I'm excited for it and a early harvest. The thing with organic growing its all genetic and this bean has some crazy genetics too bad I don't take clothes. She's been organically fed from day 1 and she's all done stretching after 1 week like all the other plants in that tent. My tent is jammed packed and I can't pull her apart any further, going to remove lower bud sites and keep feeding her and boy does she take a heavy feeding. Totally NPK in the mix is 6-7-19 each organic plant gets 2-2.3-6.3
Its hard to imagine that I thought this tree wasn't going to get very big in the early stages of veg and now look at this Amazon. In the last week its grown a little over a foot and I've increased the feeding to 2.5L every other day. Can't do a whole lot of training to this plant due to my lack of room compared to the others, just going to stay consistent with the feedings and I am checking for any stress pollen sacks and non so far
Her growth has slowed down and I'm happy for that, with this sativa being in with 4 indica's the light height is pretty high from the others and about 10" away from this plant. If I had somewhere to put this plant I'd move it BC the indica's aren't benefitting from more PAR with the increased CO2 levels in the tent. I did some super cropping to this plant but unfortunately didn't take any pics. With the increase in CO2 ive gone up on the feeding to 2.5L, BTW this is my first experience with CO2 and I didn't start with it until In the middle of week 2. I am considering moving her up to 3L per feediy.
Really wished I super cropped this beast when I had the chance but its also a good thing I didn't because of the whole space issues. The buds haven't even fully formed to begin fattening up as yet, not rushing it along but I'm very interested in seeing exactly how big they do get because of the size of the tree. This isn't a particularly frosty plant, even when I grew it the first time it wasn't much for frost but the bud structure was gorgeous. Just hoping for more of the same. PPM was also raised to 2200 and the light height is now 8" more or less
Plant looks the same in bud structure from my first time growing it. Its not the frostiest strain but the bud structure and smoke is like non other. Did some super cropping to lower branches again and going to wait out the final 4 weeks
Breeder says 55 days and today is day 48, I'll begin checking the trichomes in the morning to see exactly where it is. This plant despite how big it got from how it started was very easy to care for, should've fed it more than 2L but why risk the potential burn.
Life happens and it takes me away from my grow a lot but so be it. I usually check out by week 7 of flower at time but its almost done. Buds are rock hard and smells just as it did the first time I grew it. I'm actually growing tired of this plant and desperately wish to cut it, today is day 63 of flower and it has a 50-60 day flower time. I'll check it on Saturday but its almost a guarantee it won't make it past Sunday barring something crazy
Was really impressed with the turnaround this plant showed in veg to how she turned out in bloom. Comparing my second time growing this organically she has a STRONG smell that wasn't there during my first run. Will be back with the smoke report in about 2-3 weeks, I do sample it once its dried BUT I rather it cure for a while and give an honest review
This is the second time growing this and the outcome is totally different size and yield wise. The smell is strong and very inviting but the actual scent I can't place. The smoke is straight earth and pine no frills added. The high is a SERIOUS rollercoaster that i didn't experience in the first grow. Its begins very sativa and uplifting then after 25 minutes it takes a 180 and the indica hits like a baseball bat. It switches back and forth for a while until it mellows out to a even head and body high. If you don't like the loops cycle high this may not be for you, its definitely something for afterwards work or around 10am. Keep visine handy with this strain as it causes red eyes, this will stay in rotation due to its consistency.
@Hydro_Hiebs, I've used them for awhile but this will be my last go with their base organic nutrients as its seriously lacking and very sludgy. Will give advanced nutrients Iguana Juice base organic nutrients a try along with some of their flowering products from their new organic line
@JamMAKEcan, I'm pushing the big bud organic rite now and I'll start them on bloom booster tea week 3. I'm definitely getting 5oz off this Amazon and giving her 2L per feeding, gonna bump her up to 2.5L maybe 3 once she goes full bloom and see how she handles the extra after a week. I've gotta make up for a shitty last harvest for spring.
@JamMAKEcan, could definitely be because the first time I don't think it grew this bad. I'll check the old diary and see but I got an additional 2 weeks now so I'll adjust the feeding. Out of the 3 that was behind the orange sherbet has recovered well but the blue sunset sherbet and this one are pretty small. Today is feeding day so they're gonna taste some synthetic nutes not gonna drag this out any further and use these last 2 weeks of veg as best as I can.
