Going with sativa dominant strains this run, and am making some adjustments from lessons learned on my grow. Really hoping I can increase yield and hit the two pound mark.
This grow has one super lemon haze, one amnesia lemon kush, and two Franco lemon cheese. I expect to fill the scrog net about 70% and then flip to flower. My guess is a three week veg and eleven week flower … but I will let the plants dictate the schedule.
Just topped all four, added the scrog net and drained/changed the system and reservoir.
See ya next week.
Week two complete, and all four ladies are coming along nicely.
Turned the light up to 45% and will get it up to 65% by the end of the week. Nutrients are mild, and will increase slightly this week. I’ll also add Epsom salts and silicone.
I expect to start pulling through the net in the next few days …
Week 3 complete and all girls are coming along nicely. The super lemon haze and amnesia were put in the tent about 36 hours before the two lemon cheese, as they have a little more real estate to fill out. Lesson learned from my first grow, when I had a fair bit of empty net at back of tent, seems to be working … have to see what happens during the stretch.
Just finished a good pruning before these photos …. Hopefully by next week I’ll be able to remove everything below the net.
Light is up to 80% intensity, and I expect significant growth this week … likely flip to 12/12 at the end of week 4 if all goes as planned.
I did have one fan motor crap out (below canopy floor fan), and will get that replaced this week.
Week 4 complete, and just finished another good trimming. Will put into flower in the next day or two.
Light is up to 100% intensity and solution has been flushed and changed. Plants are starting to really drink, so hoping they really explode once flower starts.
Almost finished week 5, which will include 3 days of veg and 4 days of flower.
Flush and drained system, and onto bloom food now. Ph is at 6, and I’ll slowly make my way down to 5.8 over the next 9 - 10 weeks.
I’m really hoping sativa genetics are as expected and I get half decent stretch over the next 10 days or so.
Still waiting for a new fan to be delivered, hopefully this week.
Week 2 of flower almost completed.
Plants are all looking healthy, budlets forming nicely and drinking lots. Room and water temps are good, meters are calibrated, system has been flushed with each of the last two nutrient change …. Which is weekly. Everything seems like it’s as per usual, except I’m growing sativa leaning rather than indica. For some reason, the plants are not that vigorous.
I’m honestly quite disappointed in the stretch, as I expected a fair bit more by now. I’ve grown the super lemon a few times, with significant stretch after a 3 week veg. This is only my second scrog, so I’m guessing I just need to stay in the grow phase a little longer?
My last grow was just a little over 3 week veg with all indica leaning plants … they were not big either, but prolly bigger than these girls.
I didn’t want to, but I think I’ll pull through the net for another few days and then just let them rip.
Fingers crossed at this point.
Good news, new floor fan arrived and is installed.
And am now getting ready to start seeds for the next grow. Not sure what I’m going to pick yet, but likely some high thc indica … will update on next weeks post.
Third week of flower complete, and all four girls are looking healthy.
I didn’t get the stretch I was expecting, not even close, but it is what it is. I stopped pulling through the net a few days back, and am hoping for a foot more in height.
While I’m surprised these didn’t really get much stretch, it’s amazing how much they are drinking for such small ladies. Fingers crossed this translates into some big nugs.
Week 4 of flower complete, and everyone is healthy.
Not much to report, getting a little vertical stretch and hopefully this continues for a few more weeks. I don’t think these girls will be that large, but hopefully what is there fills out nicely.
Good lesson for next run … which will be my third scrog. I’ve got four new indica moms on the go, and I’ll make sure the next is at least 70% full before I switch to flower.
Five weeks of flower complete and feeding the girls pretty heavy this week.
No signs of stress and still drinking about 3-4 gallons a day. Not shabby for such small ladies. Still not much for stretch for any of the strains (super lemon was the best), and I’m quite surprised …. Or maybe disappointed is a better word. Regardless, need to finish these off best I can and hope for fat buds.
Six weeks in, and still at least a month to go I’d guess.
Not much to report, still heavy on the food for one more week, and then I’ll drop the ppm down some … also will drop ph to 5.8 next week..
Still just shocked as shit on how little these ladies stretched … gotta be the smallest plants I’ve ever grown with a veg over 3 weeks long.
Seven weeks through flower and starting to see some red hairs and a few cloudy trichomes. Probably a few weeks to go yet.
Buds are fattening a little, but these are not gonna be large producers this run. Still not sure what happened, they looked healthy the whole time … just shat for the stretch … live and learn I guess and make it up next crop.
8 weeks into flower and all girls are on the homestretch … a couple more weeks I’d guess.
Reducing ppms, and stopped using silicone … will add bloom boost next week, but not much as these girls are really small.
9 weeks down, and still reducing ppm. The Franco is pretty much ready and the haze isn’t far behind. I’ll likely run them another week and flush for a few days.
10 weeks of flower complete, and we’re close enough. I’ll flush for 3-4 days and cut em down … if they were bigger, I’d probably flower another few days or so …. But I’m calling it close enough, and am eager to get a new crop underway.
This is a great strain that I’ve grown many times. While I didn’t get the weight I was hoping for, it’s my fault and not plant genetics. I’d recommend this strain for anyone.
