Seeds went into water until sinking. The water had a small amount of VeloKelp to aid germination. After they sank they were placed directly in the soil.
One of the seedlings broke ground today, henceforth "Candyland 1". I'm hoping the other will soon, if it doesn't within 9 days usually that indicates a germination failure in my experience. They're only being given water for the first little while, of course.
12/23- Second seedling broke soil today, good stuff. Not visible in the image but it's there.
Good week. Seedlings are going along nicely, decent grow speed. Not sucking up a ton of water at the moment and not fed yet. Will continue updating of course, hoping these girls grow rapidly into large plants :)
-12/31- Happy new year! Looks like the girls are growing up quick, I'm glad.
Another good week. The girls are starting to reach a decent size. This week I'll be feeding them with a small quantity of micro and myco to promote vegetative growth.
Another good week. Candyland #1 is sexing extremely early, I didn't expect her to be showing this early. All plants I've ran so far have taken about six weeks to show sex so this one showing in around three is quite an anomaly for me.
1/17/2022- Candyland #1 is an auto, there's no doubt in my mind now. I'm not sure if CL#2 will also be, but I repotted both of them immediately to minimize later stress. Contacting GOG as I'm confused about what the hell I'm growing at this point 😂 As well as repotting I bent both of em over, as I was about to top when I noticed that CL#1 was definitely an auto.
1/18- Luckily they're both seeming to be happy after the transplant.
It's a week. Not bad growth, seems the one in flower could use a little more phos, or is having PH issues.
Seems that miss autoflower is a mispacked seed, so she'll be "mystery meat" I guess. The other plant is vegetating normally.
Decent week. Having to feed the auto AstroFlower as I don't have bloom nutes at the moment :( Hopefully getting some in soon. Glad the other plant isn't an auto and I can top and LST her to my heart's content.
Yet another solid week. Going to be bending #2 quite a bit this week, #1 continues to flower. Little early frost coming in on her. Admittedly, the environment is less than ideal for autoflowers as the margin for error is much smaller.
2/11- Finally got around to bending over candyland #2 (Although is it really candyland 2 at this point? we know "candyland 1" isn't even candyland.) - Should grow nicely outwards and fill the tent.
Great week for CL#2. CL#1 is chugging along nicely it seems, though I have no frame of reference having never grown an auto before and frankly being unready to during this run.
CL#2 has been bent and bent and bent, she looks like she'll shape up to really fill the tent once the auto is done.
A great week. Autoflower is doing alright, not really sure how/what to do with her lol. Vegging photo is doing splendid, growing quite quickly. Bending and LST continues.
CL#1 (Auto) is starting to show some orange hairs, I definitely fucked up somehow during the grow as she's more than a little small lol. Inversely CL#2 (Photo) is doing absolutely splendid, responding quite well to LST and the "chiropractic" training I've been performing. CL#2 should definitely grow to fill the tent after CL#1 is out.
Solid week. CL#1 seems to be ripening up nicely, though she's unfortunately rather small. CL#2 is starting to really fill the space of the tent, and is continuously being bent and twisted around to do exactly that.
Another solid week in the books. CL2 is vegging like crazy and turning out quite nicely in my opinion. She's continuously being bent and twisted, tied and broken in all directions.
CL#1 looks to be around a week out from harvest, I'll take a peek at the trichomes sometime soon to determine an exact window. Not the biggest plant but hopefully she'll be a good few joints or something to kick off spring with.
Good week. By the looks of the trichomes, CL1 will be in there for another week, perhaps two before coming down and hanging for a couple days. CL2 will be vegged out for another week or two after that to further fill the tent before flipping to flower. (I would like to flip to flower sooner rather than later, which means I'd like her to veg out the tent fast. This is due to other grows of this strain showing quite a decent stretch going into flower.)
Great week. CL#1 seems to still be a week or two out roughly according to bud structure and trichome color. CL#2 is vegging out the tent like mad, she'll be flipped around a week after CL#1 comes out to mitigate stretching into the light.
CL#1 had some magic thrips pop up as of 4/3, affected areas removed and remainder of plant pulled early and hung to dry, we'll have to see how effects go. CL2 moved into full-mid position in the tent and LST'd outward nicely as of 4/4, with a preventative spray of pyrethrin. Flip in a couple days.
After 14 long weeks of veg waiting for the bloody surprise auto to be done, here we are, finally flip time. Hoping this girl shapes up to be one big bitch in a relatively very short period of time.
Going into 2nd week of flower, she's done quite some stretching. Pistils are starting to pop all around the plant as well. Been taking off nodes that would underproduce. Will continue to do so until the end of this week~
CL2 is flowering nicely, exactly what I'm used to... as opposed to surprise autos! 😂 - not much odor as of yet. Took off a handful of sucker nodes (22) , I think everything else currently on the plant should produce well.
Apparently fucking time is warping and I somehow missed a day, even though I literally took pics yesterday.
Either way, good week, good growth. BluMat things are still keeping her fed nicely.
Solid week of flowering. She's starting to fade (also also showing a bit of deficiency) but overall she seems relatively healthy. Blumat things keep pulling their weight, which is good because getting under the canopy to water at this point would be quite an undertaking.
Another solid week. She's looking like it'll be another 2, maybe 3 weeks as the trichomes are quite cloudy as of right now but many white pistils are still present.
Good week. Looks like we're coming into the last or the second to last week of flower here. Had a scare with the timer but luckily all should be well, no additional foxtailing or visible hermaphrodite traits can be seen.
Turns out the surge fried my timer, she's been taken down. Hopefully she's at least decently ripe.
Strong head effects, definitely sativa leaning. That said, some decent relaxant body effects as well. Very potent. Can be used reasonably for daytime and nighttime equally. Could've gone an extra week in terms of ripeness but that's only my preference.
12 weeks veg on Candyland? You do know that is going to be one HUGE plant when you switch it to flower right? Like im talking 3 times bigger than it is now. I really hope you have the room for it. Id be seriously considering ditching the second smaller one and just plant to grow this one out- it will more than fill the average grow tent at this size. In fact looking at your pot size- she is already going to out grow this sized pot. A 4 week veg will fill a pot your size- id be using a 65ltr pot for a 12 week veg. I hope your planning to re pot her into a bigger pot soon. like a 10 gallon pot and then veg her for 10 days and then switch to flower. I did my outdoor for 12 weeks in veg and my ZkittleZ is 5ft wide and 4 ft long by 5 ft high. Yours should get taller than this.
And yeah up your Grow nutes to 2mls a ltr and magnifical to 1.5mls per ltr for next 2 feedings. Shes hungry.
I also have 5 packs of Candyland in my stash for this summer.
@Benzels, Must have missed this comment earlier, she was one big bitch for sure. Moving the pot to the center works wonders in terms of space, lol. I don't know what I was feeding at the time but I generally fail to accurately portray what strength I'm feeding at on GD, so take that with a grain of salt.
Good luck on the grows
