Seedling started out a bit slow. Temps were a bit too high and I think that hindered her. As she seemed to flourish once the temps consistently got lower down the road.
Flowers are getting very sticky and smell of pine and gas ⛽️. Developing a nice frosty layer of trichomes and starting to bulk up a bit. Added silica to my weekly feed this week.
Struggling with higher temps this week with the addition of more lights in the room for other plant. Also a more efficient dehumidifier which is creating heat. Trying to vent the room manually until I can afford to add AC / ventilation.
Adjust Maxxisun light to 90% and started rotating other lights in the room so they’re not all running at the same time. Temps have only peaked to 77f since and are stable. Humidity is stable with the new dehumidifier at about 49%.
Plant was a little more finicky than expected. Not hard but not for a total beginner either imo. This plant definitely wanted cool temps, plenty of space for the roots to spread out, didn’t want to be over fed and just water the last couple weeks.
These are some of the stickiest buds I’ve ever had in my possession. They smell piney and dank with a smell that reminds me of California specifically. Can’t wait for these buds to get a proper cure.
I am using a MF2000 for the first time and how close were your flowering plants to the light? I am currently have mine at 17 inches, but the plants are stretching and I don't want to wait to move them from light burn.
@djsix, THANK YOU for your experience with the light and I was thinking the same thing that if I had too, I could cut the light by 10%. My tent is 3x2x54 inches so the space is filled with enough light.
@backyardpizza, according to the Maxsisun user manual 16”-20” is appropriate for flowering. I’m at 13” with my closest flower which is why I dimmed a bit to 90%. I probably could go down to 80% honestly. If you haven’t I’d suggest downloading the Photone app. It’s not going to be as good as an actual PAR meter but at least it could help you ball park how much light you’re getting on your plants. Good luck!
@Shefman93, Haven’t smoked yet as it’s just been jarred for the cure. I ended up with 109g from a 3gal pot. Could have had more but had 2 different plants in a 27” tent. Smells piney, little gassy and dank/skunky. The buds are rock hard and so sticky they’re almost gooey.
