Expert Seeds Northern Lights

WEEK 1
I must have bought these seeds ages ago and somehow they managed to find the bottom of my ever growing seed collection
as I'd completely forgotten about them until the other day when looking thru the collection they turned up .
So I thought , why not grow one and see how they go.
I popped a seed into a shot glass of water & a little "humic/fulvic" overnight .
Next day it had cracked open exposing the tap root , so into a Ezy plug she went and Voila here we are 😀
Hopefully you can join me as I grow some Northern lights .

MERRY CHRISTMAS FELLOW GROWERS 👊
The little Northern lights seedling is looking great , I went ahead and transplanted it into a 10L fabric pot
that I had prefilled with my own soil mix . 💪
Then all I had to do was water in some Mycorrhizae and she was good to grow 😎

Well here we are at the beginning of a brand new year 😀 Lets hope that 2022 is the year for cannabis becoming more widely accepted
and legalized World wide ✊
The northern lights seedling is looking good , I especially Like the Sativa dominance she seems to be displaying in her leaf shape 👊
Will be feeding her some worm castings this week as well as some fish meal 💪

I love the leaf shape and potential of a good Northern lights finally after several attempts in finding a
good pheno I may just get lucky this time / We will see 🙌
No feeds needed as the soil is providing adequate nutrition .

She is really getting a nice bushy structure to her now and is looking fantastic. 👊
It has been really hot here but this girl does not seem to mind it one bit as long as I keep her well hydrated .
Gave her some enhancer from greenhouse feeding yesterday along with the weekly mycorrhizae 👌

Hi all 😀 since I started to physically put the plant into darkness at 5pm every evening she has begun her stretch
and should soon be flowering 👊
I really love the leaves on this girl so thin and spiky looking 😊

She is starting to flower 😁
Actually it's quite ironic that I have been physically moving this plant into darkness at 5pm
every single day to get it to start flowering and now that it finally is , I see that some of my outdoor ladies
are already beginning to bloom too and they didn't require any moving or early darkness 😆
I gave her some Bio bloom and Bio enhancer from greenhouse feeding
plus the usual Mycorrhizae 👊
She has a very very nice smell when I do a stem rub n sniff 😍

She is flowering nicely and has responded to the Bio bloom extremely well. 💪
No nute burn with this stuff and it is fairly simple to apply .
She is getting stinky already which is always a good sign to me 😀

We had shit loads of rain the other day , so this girl had to be put in a spot out of the rain.
as a consequence she hasn't had much sun since Sunday , but is back out in the sunshine now. 👊
this is the only plant I haven't sprayed with DE so it will need to be monitored daily for bug or insect attack.
Gave her a good handful of Guano pellets and watered it in with the weekly myco 👊
should be about halfway by next weeks update .

Well it's nearly the end of this Diary , I anticipate being able to harvest her in a week .
If the trichomes aren't at the 15% amber stage by then I'll simply let it go longer .

She smells quite funky with a slight chemical like aroma . It's different that is for sure. 😀

So this girl is almost ready , I have removed all of the useless lower branches for dry sift later on.
and from now I'll just be giving her water until the trichomes hit the sweet spot .
The chop will happen within the next 7 days , so the next update will be the Harvest one 😎

So that's it , she's dried and in a large jar curing .
I must say that I am less than impressed with the buds quality , not very potent at all
You win some and you lose some but if that is the best Northern lights that Expert seeds does then I will continue looking
elsewhere for that Proper Northern lights I have been trying to find .

You're an experienced grower and it shows! I have a few questions about outdoor growing. I've only grown indoor photos before and did a VERY strict 12/12 to start flowering with absolutely no light penetration during the dark. On this outdoor grow, are you physically carrying your pots in and out to and from a dark room every day to get exactly 12 and 12? Second question; you said that some of your other girls were flowering outside at around 13 hours of daylight? That would mean the 12/12 rule is not exact all the time, correct? Last question; what effect does ambient light (streetlight on the opposite side of the house from my grow) have on the flowering? I've got 10 feminized super skunk seeds that I intend to plant in July this year because the autumn 12/12 schedule kicks off around September 20 or so. It'll be my first outdoor grow and I need all the advice I can get. Thanks for taking the time to respond!

@kendahl, i use street light to keep my plants in veg. These light do not help plant grow faster. So, i veg my plants for around 13 weeks or more to get them reasonably big.
With this, there is a perpetual indecision from my plants on making flowers then reveg. And there are a lot more small side branchlets. Pruining is important.
I move my plants only to get them away from the light when i am ready for flowering.
4 lux of lnight light is enough to keep most plants in veg.
That's looking real good basken away ,it's definitely getting bigger , nice going growmie 👌 Im jealous of that plant 😂as i'm currently in the dead of winter 😲
Hey Grey sorry to hear , that there not up to par , I did my NL and there crazy potent , canukseeds and they yield a shit ton I gave them a 10 out 10 so maybe give them a look ..... 👈 as to expertseeds , well in just my first run with them the caramella, not impressed , had to chop her the other day.... poor Genetics.....
