Popping 8 seeds to hit 6-8 plants for this 2x4 grow.
I call these SOG grows, but I almost always end up trellising like a SCROG when I do high plant counts.

The AGSeedCo genetics are regular and will need to be sexed. I pooped two seeds of each (NL2 and Skunk).
Everything else is feminized.

The Trail Mix strain by Humboldt Seed Company is actually an unknown strain. But it's an unknown strain from Humboldt Seed Company. So it'll be interesting to see what I get. Should be good, no matter what it is! I haven't really grown much NLD genetics, so it'll be interesting to see if I get a sativa phenotype.

This time I'm going to try something new and start these in pots, but instead of digging a hole to transplant into (like normal); I'm going to just cut the bottom of the pot off and set it on the surface of the soil. I'll clear all the mulch and the first inch of top soil.
The idea is to give me a little more height to work with. With these high plant count grows, the plants are short and close to the soil. Because this is living soil, I want to leave at least 12" of space between the soil and the lowest buds. This gives all the bugs their room to do their thing without getting stuck in resin.
It also makes room for watering, top dressing, and defoliation. These high plant count grows are easy... As long as you have some easy access to the lower canopy.

They are all 1 gallon pots that I only filled half way with soil (and 2 half gallon pots). I'm going to veg these for around 2 weeks in the pots and see what type of physical characteristics I get. I'll then put them into (on to) the 2x4 bed of living soil. The order will go from the plants I think will end up the shortest on the left to the plants I believe will be stretchiest on the right. This way I can angle my LED and get somewhat even lighting if everything goes right (and I can't control the canopy).

I started these in my kid's vegetable tent because I'm actually still in flower with my previous grow (the cannabis tent, or "Dad's Tent"). Those Peanut Butter Cookies by Tastebudz are LOOOOOOONG flowering plants. Tomorrow starts week 15 for the last two remaining plants in that grow. I harvested 3 of them yesterday and three of them a couple of weeks ago. One of the two remaining plants still has at least 3 weeks.
Oooohhh I can't wait to see how your turns out! I'm popping Hella Jelly outdoor this summer. I am curious how it grows indoors. Hope the terps are as they say.
@Stonedworks, Sounds wonderful! Your description is just like the owner of Humboldt seeds described, fast Sative with amazing terps. I have a pack of 10 , but just got another order of different seeds and a freebie 3pk of Hella Jelly I'm sure I'll be growing her for many runs. I wanna find that cherry jolly rancher pheno. CONGRATULATIONS on the promotion that is wonderful news. No worries on the diary we all understand that kind of busy when life throws you a great opportunity. Now you have amazing smoke to relax with.
@KAPT_SAVE_Da_HOE, I got a promotion at work and have been swamped as I adjust to the new role, so sorry for the delay in updates!
The HJ has that grape now... So. Much. Grape. God I hope it keeps up and comes through when smoked. I have two more fem seeds, I'll definitely run them next. I also took a cut of this plant and it's really healthy... So I've got a lot of grape in my future, haha.
She's a frosty frosty lady! Buds are swelling now and maybe a week from Harvest. She'll be a medium yielding plant with big fat dense tops and not much weight on the lowers. Fan leaves are fading orange/yellow and calyxes are turning dark purple. The fan leaves all through flower have been a dusty grey color... Really cool. I'll get photos uploaded soon!
I think this coming Wednesday is day one of week 8. I flipped on March 1. So a pretty quick finisher for living soil.
@Stonedworks, Well you hit the jackpot with that freebie! They've sold out on a few sites I've seen. I may have to get a bigger grow bag for my summer greenhouse grow! That strain has been winning awards and getting voted on best strains lists of 2022. Your pumping me up for my next run! Can't wait to see how it goes!
