NanoGreen This is my first time growing cannabis. I bought 5 feminized mimosa seeds from Dutch Seed Shop. I also had two bonus mimosa seeds from flower I purchased. I started off with 4 seeds from Dutch and tried the bonus ones too. As I suspected the bonus seeds didnโt germinate.
But the Dutch seeds ๐ฏ germination!
Those first three weeks were very fun ๐คฉ

NanoGreen Because I topped one of the ladies she had a slight delay in her pistil development. Mimosa #4 is also shorter than her sisters. She didnโt germinate until a week after her sisters. So, I guess that would be expected. This is my first time so Iโm allowing myself to fail. But failure is the first step at learning.! Right?! Lol ๐ These plants have been trimmed up twice before initiating the 12/12 light cycle for flowering. I waited five weeks before doing that. Probably could have done it sooner if I didnโt stress out the plants by trimming them.

NanoGreen The smell of Mimosa is getting stronger in this week. The pistils are turning brown and is one to two weeks before harvest. Half of her pistils are brown and her trichomes are milky. Started flushing plants. Iโm growing four female mimosa plants. I topped mimosa #1, and Mimosa #2 is almost ready for harvest, mimosa #3 is tall and has big buds, mimosa #4 is stunted and about a week behind all of her sisters.
My question is what type of seed is better?
Auto female, regular, or feminized seeds?
I chose feminized seeds for my very first grow. Iโm contemplating buying auto female seeds for my next grow. Or should I just stick with feminized seeds?

Any autos I have ever grown turn out like fluffy bud. Big buds, but fluffy. Not the type of weed I like putting in my grinder and mashing up. Even feels different/fluffy rolling it. I don't waste anytime with autos anymore. To use to rock hard bud, that is even tough to get into the grinder. I also find them not near as potent. Personal choice I guess.
Iโm trying something new this round gonna do one tent autos first time trying got some samples sent autos and picked some photos for my second tent I wanted to try something new as well autos between my runs would be great ๐ ๐ฑgood luck with your grow
Itโs up to you and what is more your style.
Photoperiod plants you control when they go into flower and autoflower plants just do what they want regardless of light schedule.
There is no one better than the other when it comes to it being feminized photos or autos.
Regular seed just means it has a better chance of being a male plant.
But itโs not to say that a seed labeled as feminized can be a male. People make mistakes when packaging sometimes.
With so much choice out there. Just pick something that you think youโre gonna love and go for it.
My next run is gonna be some autos. I want to try it out as well. Iโm just finishing up 8 months of doing photos so time to change it up a bit.

NanoGreen Today marks 12 weeks from seed for these beauties. They are in their 7th week of flowering 8th week if I count the day I switched light cycle.
I gently trimmed a good majority of the fan leaves from the ladies. I also did a couple of HST to a few branches to see if I can get them more resinous. Iโve started flushing out with water and a spoonful of organic coconut water. They smell so good like oranges. ๐
Mimosa is a balanced high. This strain is a hybrid 70% sativa 30% Indica.
I tried this strain and was hooked. It helps me with PTSD, depression, anxiety, and pain.
Iโve never grown cannabis and this was my first time growing. I grew four plants. I topped plant one. She did have bigger side colas compared to the other three. But wasnโt very big! Plant four was always a week behind all other plants. She didnโt sprout until 8 days after plant one. I flushed plant two started two weeks before harvest. All others were one week before except plant four she got agave and water. Iโm very happy ๐ with my results. The buds are now currently curing. The smell is so deliciously beautiful. Sage and citrus. Canโt wait to smoke ๐จ when these buds are done.
