Started with cotons pad slightly humidified.
fter 2 days, the borders of the plates dried a bit, so one seed failed, and another one is a bit late.
Tranferred them the third day in rookwool cube bathed in GHE Bio root (2.5/l) and ph5 solution.
4 out of 5 seed succeeded, nothing to be sad about, the trip has started ...🙌
-- Edit 24h hours later --
The 5th seed made it :)
Everybody's doing fine.
The two plants who came out late from the seeds are growing nicely, and there will soon be no differences in size.
After 2 days, they are big enough to go in the temporary hydro system (probably for 1 month , until the flowering room is free)
I have a long time to wait for my flowering room to be free, so i'll wait a bit - enough for them to grow 2 or 3 more levels - before manifolding.
Everything goes smoothly (nice new growing 45W LED)
I love the Mokum strain ... like my first time, the sprout are developping nicely, good leaves, great root growth, i'm happy ...
I'm sharpening my scissors for next week.
Chop chop chop chop chop chop chop chop ...
And now, i let them get some rest after a big trimming / mainlining operation. I take care of PH but the nutrient concentration is rather light.
I'll press the gas pedal next week.
Good recovery for previous week big cut.
I just have to put some copper fishing weights to keep all main branches at the same height, an a bit of leave removal to optimise the canopy's area.
Everything fine.
I'm pushing EC now that the recovery is done, and I only wait for the flowering room to be free.
I'll use this time for some handcrafted setup modifications (see next week for results), and root triming.
A little bit of plastic-craft today : As my last crops nearly failed beacause of root blocking water in the system, i drilled a few upgraded holes :)
Last week under growing LED.
After 7 weeks of slow grow under LED (i had to wait for my flowering room to be free), the first week of CMH.
I intend to let them get used to the new light for one week before launching flowering.
Big change ... Plagron modified a few time ago their their products recommandations, plagron root, sugar & zym are no longer considered suitable for hydro.
So, i try Cannazym, that seems more reliable for me.
-- Mid week --
The ph went down suddently. I did set it right, but i've probablement been too straighforward with my ph down (Ph swing from 7,5 to 5,5 in one shot)
All plants are doing quite fine.
I keep a simple solution (only the basics from plagron with their new ban on sugar & zym for hydro), and everything is going fine.
I try to keep a straight 6.5 ph & recommended EC value (17 fior this week), but there's a lot of swings ...
They drink a lot, and i like that !
Nothing much to say, good roots, good leaves, ph checks are good, EC checks are good ... But the smell is already quite strong after two weeks of flowering.
I just want a simple grow, so ... I check Ph, I check EC, and I don't use too many complementary nutrients.
Everything is going smoothly, but i'm lucky with mokum tulips, they were my first easy grow :)
The strech ended a few days ago ...
Just one thing : I don't know why the one in the back left corner stretched so much, compare to the others.
I don't touch anything apart turning them each morning, adjusting ph, and refilling the solution.
None of them lost more than 6 leaves since the seed :)
Only 3 weeks remaining, and they drink a lot : it was time for a full solution replacement to avoid nutrient concentration.
I decided to get everybody out of the room for a check-up, a bit of cleaning, and a photoshoot under "human light"
Everbody doing fine, even for "Mr Stretch". He stand 35 cm above the other plants, and i still don't know why ....
Now we're talking !
2 weeks before harvest : they do nothing but drink 2 liter a day. getting fatter with each new day ...
I would hate that on a friend, but that is a really nice thing to do for a cannabis plant :)
The end is near !
The buds are developping quite well - i don't overfeed them so i don't expect are spectacular grow, but they are doinf very nicely on their level.
They still drink a lot and get wider with each new day. 🙌
It's the last week !
I wait a few days from now while checking the trichome each day
I still feed them with a light solution, and i'll use some flush product to rinse 24h before harvesting.
This grow was like a trip to paradise. I didn't overfed them, didn't removed a single leave after week 4 ... In fact, what I did is mostly looking at them :)
It's my second tulip batch, and once again it's "all play and no work" :)
The Tulip is now my official totem !
I grew this strain outdoors and the tallest plant grew to 12 feet ! Most insane delicate but long lasting flavor with such a Evan high you can’t really tell whether it’s a sativa or indica , I’m so glad to see someone else with this strain , I had a combo of gold yellow orange purple and red leaves from mokums tulip .. med on the scales but top notch in the jar
