dataTwiiix 12/30: a new adventure begins :). The purple skunk has been calling to me since I saw it in the Sensi Seeds catalog.

dataTwiiix 01/15: this third week will be the one for the first topping to set up a "main-lining" with this vigorous plant! 🤗🤗🤗
01/16: first topping done, still between 6 and 12 toppings, we'll see how fast the plant recovers.
01/21: 4 more toppings done, things are taking shape, just 4 or 8 more toppings and we'll be there :)

dataTwiiix 01/30: That's it, all the toppings have been done. Now we just have to guide the growth with the tied-down techniques.
02/02: Update "tie-down": take everything off and try to lighten the structure. Make it less of a mess ;D

dataTwiiix 02/07: everything is very condensed, not much space for airflow between the leaves and future flowers. So I'm going to wait another week and do a big defoliation and probably remove a few branches from the first node.

dataTwiiix 02/25: she was back to make me an unmanageable bush so I'm busy pruning all that.
dataTwiiix 03/14: 4th week of flowering, slower compared to 12&12. But much more abundant in colas.

dataTwiiix 03/22: start of the 5th week of flowering. Flowering is taking its time compared to the "dos-si-dos" that was germinated at the same time, which is almost ready for the "flush." Patience, patience!

dataTwiiix 04/04: surely one of the last weeks of flowering. Before 5 to 10 of finalpart. And we should be good for the harvest.
04/05: I see some amber spots, a little flush and then finalpart. We're there, the harvest is for this month!

dataTwiiix 04/11: almost the last week of bloom. I'm very proud of her, she is beautiful.
04/15: harvest expected for Sunday..

dataTwiiix 04/17: lights off, box closed, big fan on the purple to bring out its colors even more if it’s cool the next 2 nights... Continuing the harvest Tuesday morning. 🎉🌱🌞🌞🌞💯
05/04: I made BHO with 15g of trim, unfortunately I don’t have the vacuum chamber yet, so it's half-finished BHO, but it’s already a delight. Can’t wait to have a vacuum chamber! 😎
Like other "grower" brothers, my comment on your Purple Skunk grow from Sensi revolves a lot around the significant change this grow reveals between its vegetative stage and then its flowering stage, and the very noticeable difference between Indica and Sativa is what I highlight as outstanding in this grow.
The growths of this cultivar in the Purple Skunk diaries are very revealing of a 'beastly' Indica start in the vegetative stage, which over time transitions to Sativa like "the crown of a pine tree."
As in my cultivar, which is progressing, your diary clearly shows that up to the fifth week, the long primary leaves of dark green are being replaced by narrow leaves, and the green is lightening. It's true that Sensi announces that the 50/50 hybrid is very characteristic; the phenotype of growth changes significantly over the weeks, and you can see that in the first week, the Indica structure is very clear. Just like yours, my growth, as it enters flowering, is showing narrower leaves and a much lighter green. Even though in your harvest result you stated 100% Indica, and if you are referring to the type of smoke obtained, what impresses me the most and leaves me baffled is how this hybrid undergoes such a pronounced change between the vegetative structure compared to the flowering structure. And yes, in my case, since the beginning of week 4, the growth of secondary branching has become very clear, with thin and dispersed branches, and the leaves have transitioned from long primary leaves like sheets (almost three fingers long for each of the primary leaves in the second and third week) and from a compact and dense plant with very short internodal spacing to a cultivar that has shot up with fine secondary branches and very narrow leaves (the most Sativa, it can't be).
So, the evolution of the Purple Skunk is very consistent with the diaries of the "grower" brothers who have shared their experiences for this strain here on GrowDiaries.
Very noticeable... that at the beginning of flowering, and for more than a week now, still in the vegetative stage, the sweet and pungent smell of the Skunks is already very noticeable, and I've already needed to open the ONA Gel jar that I generally order when I plant skunk cultivars, because if I don't take that precaution, the smell will reach the street in a "flash."
I would love for you to accompany my evolution and share more details about your experience growing this strain.
