First i wait for it to grow 5-6 nodes then you top it at the 3rd node but cut it right below the 4th to leave a little stump of a stem left. This helps your plant prevent it from damaging its self when growing bigger in size. At this point im only giving 1 quart of water every 2 days. And im not wetting the entire 30gal pot, only about 7-8 inches away from the stem all the way around it.
I would also like to add by saying the bottom 1/3 of my 30 gal pot is straight super soil (M3 supersoil) and the top 2/3 is a mix with the M3 supersoil and COCO LOCO from fox farms.
Everything is going great so far! she seems pretty resilient when training. Just topped her the other day and can already see where the 4 colas will be. Then ill ready for one more topping to make 8 colas before I can let her do her thing an grow.
So I wanted to make a note on my watering. I just installed a WIFI watering system and I water about every 4-6 days for 2 mins on the WIFI cycle which comes to about half a gallon of water. Occasionally ill top water with my watering pot with great white mycorrhizae which is not a nutrient its a fungus with bacteria that are beneficial to the plants roots. As you can see she has 4 main branches due to main-lining and she will soon have 8 once the branches stretch to my desired liking to do another topping of each branch.
As you can see, she has 8 tops now! i been using jayplantspeaker from buildasoil in my watering. What is does is it helps spread the moisture in the soil to really get everything evenly wet. As you can see i added a mulch layer of blueoyster mushroom straw log also from buildasoil. Now it's time to let her grow and do her thing till flower.
I've started to notice that my leaves, mainly the larger fan Leafs, are starting to get a lighter color in-between the veins of the leaf with dark green around the rest of the leaf. not sure what this means? I use only organic nutrients only (no bottle nutes used ever)
What you are giving should be enough as you have moved into flowering she should be still on the same course. Only thing it might be is swings in PH? Organic nutes I've noticed can vary on PH. Same goes for when u giving nutes and water the PH should be in the same range?
I feed with a compost tea of worm castings insect frass and craft blend and molasses. After brewing I added rootwise microbe complete and j plant speaker which contains saponins a wetting agent.
