Super stoked for this run. I hopped on the YouTuber bandwagon and picked up some BBC and Nana Glue seeds from square one genetics and I can’t wait to see how they turn out. Germinated in 2 days in a paper towel and placed in 1 gallon fabric pots with FFOF. They got a bit leggier than I meant for them to but they’ll be fine. They’re both getting their first set of true leaves now. Right now they’re sharing a tent with the Kosher Kush and Glookies plants but they’ll get moved up to the attic tent once the Northern Lights Auto up there finishes out.

Not a whole lot to say yet, this girl is just getting going. She has a couple of nodes now and I expect the growth to start really taking off soon. I think I had the lights dialed a bit too high when I moved them out to the middle of the tent because they’re a pretty light color. It could just be a characteristic of the strain and the fact that the big kosher kush plant in the tent is such a dark green but I’ve moved them back to the edges of the tent until they get a bit larger. This tent is going into flower soon so I’ll have to move this plant and the bbc plant up to the attic and let them veg up there while the northern lights auto finishes out.

This girl is really taking off, she’s shot up a few inches over just a few days. I topped her at the fifth node tonight so she’s a little droopy tonight by I’m sure she’ll bounce back. I’m moving this plant and the bbc plant up to the attic tomorrow or Friday because the tent they’re currently in is getting flipped this weekend. One thing to note is this plant seems to have some weird issue where the margins are almost folded along the serrations. It’s a little odd but I don’t think it’ll be harmful. Hoping that after a few days she’ll recover from the topping and I can repot into a 5 gallon pot. I’m only going to veg this one for about 4 weeks I think at the rate it’s growing. The tent she’s flowering in is a bit short so I can’t let her get too big and I have a feeling I’m in for a big stretch.

Both of these square one genetics plants are looking absolutely horrible. Theyre droopy and the leaf margins are curling up and they’re just not vigorous. The stems are already purpling and I can’t imagine they’re starving for phosphorus this young though, I’ll need to look up what else causes that. It could be genetic but with how unhealthy the plants are in general I wouldn’t be surprised if it was stress. The only thing I can think of that could be contributing to the poor health is that it’s been super dry here and they haven’t exactly had a ton of room to breathe as they started off dwarfed by by the glookies and kosher kush plants. I’m hoping that once I harvest the northern lights plant in that tent and let them spread out and get real, unobstructed light that they’ll bounce back. I hit them with some recharge today and that always seems to help

So I determined that part of the issue with the square one genetics plants was the temperature — it was in the mid 60’s in the attic due to how cold it’s been. It might be tough to tell from the pictures but they’re both looking a ton better after adjusting the space heater temp and the controller that turns it on. I’m finally harvesting the auto in this tent tomorrow so I’m going to repot these two and flip them to flower by next week.

Finally harvested the northern lights plant and gave these banana girls some room to breathe and they started looking way healthier. I repotted into a 5 gallon fabric pot and gave her a few days to reach out into the new medium and they look great. They’re a little droopy in the pictures because the lights just came on and they were thirsty but they’re doing much better. Im running out of time based on my schedule in April and I’m afraid to let it get much taller either the amount of stretch I anticipate so they’re getting their first night of 12 hours of dark tonight and tomorrow will be day one of flower.

This girl has really hit her stride. First full week of 12-12 and the stretch is really starting to set in. I keep tying it down to try to keep it low but I think it’s probably going to get ahead of me this week. Not much else to say really, excited to start seeing more pistils this week and to see how much she stretches.

This girl is doing great she’s stretching and loaded with bud sites. I think the stretch is slowing down and I’ve been removing the sites that don’t look like they’re getting enough light and stretching the branches out pretty wide. I topdressed with some build a flower and craft blend so the soil has everything it needs to transition to making buds.

Forgot to update last week so we’re getting two posts in two days. The BBC plant that was sharing a tent with this one hermied hard so it got pulled and chopped. After doing that I noticed this one had some pollen sacks too so I pulled them off but I’m going to let her finish out and pull them any time I see a new one. It’s too late in the season to start a new run in the attic so if I get some seeds it is what it is. I’m certain it’s just because the conditions up in the attic are just too variable but I’m not too bummed about it. The stretch has finally finished so hopefully she starts transitioning to building flowers next.

This week went well, she’s transitioning to building flowers and she’s already getting pretty frosty. I haven’t found anymore pollen sacs so I’m hoping it was just some of the lower stressed out bud sites that were producing them. Not much else to report on this week. I fed with a compost tea a few days ago and will probably top dress again around this time next week. Hope to see some good gains in mass this week.

Not a bad week, she’s starting to bulk up a bit and she’s getting really frosty. I think the heat in the attic might be getting to her because the bud structure looks kind of janky but it is what it is, hopefully it just needs to fill them out. I’m going to bring her down to the closet tent once the two plants in there are finished up and that should really reduce the heat stress.

Sorry I’ve done a pretty poor job documenting this grow the past few weeks, no camera on my phone has been super inconvenient. The two plants in the closet downstairs finished up so I moved this one down from the attic to hopefully get her in a more consistent environment. I think the attic has taken a toll on this plant but she’s doing alright despite that. The buds are still pretty narrow so I’m hoping they bulk up at least a bit more. The tent move was also pretty tough, getting it down the ladder and through the entrance to the attic don’t go as smooth as it could’ve. The buds aren’t massive but they’re dense as hell and several of the stalks were weighed down and flopping over. Several of the stems are tied up to the tent posts for support and she seems to have bounced back from any stress. I think I’m going to get a silica supplement to help in the next run. This girl probably has a couple weeks left, I need to start checking the trichomes soon. She’s starting to fade pretty hard and turning some pretty colors. I’m going to be out of town for a week starting on the 16th so I need to figure out if she’ll be done by then or if I’ll need to rig up a drip system to get her through that week. Really looking forward to running this strain again in the closet tent from the start to reduce the stress and hopefully get some better bud structure.

Getting close to the finish line with this girl. Some of the buds are bulking up, a few of the others seem like they’re going to stay narrow and fox tailed, and possibly with a few seeds, almost certainly because of the heat up in the attic. I’m losing leaves in the same way the glookies plant did, not sure if it’s the gg4 or if the build a flower is just a bit light on the K, I’ll keep that in mind for next round. started adding a bit of build a bloom just to give her one final push but will probably switch to straight water soon. I think she’s going to make it right up until I have to go out of town so we might get one more update next week. Can’t wait to pop a new seed of this strain. I have a pack of The Spice by twenty20 mendocino that I’m really excited to run. Not sure if m going to run the glookies clones again — I might just keep one around as a mom to run at some point in the future.

Final week, lots of leaves are dying off, she’s done bulking up, and the trichomes are close enough to where I want them. I’d let her go a few more days but I’m going out of town so she’s coming down this weekend. Once she’s dried I’ll post a harvest update. Really looking forward to running this again next round.

All in all I’m super impressed with these genetics. They handled the massive temp and humidity swings in the attic pretty well. They did throw some pollen sacks in the lowers but I’d pretty much guarantee that was due to the environment and light leaks when it was in the attic. I’m giving it a proper run with a more regulated environment now so be on the lookout for that diary. The harvest came out great, I ended up pulling 78 grams for jars after drying.
