@esotaro, it’s a triploid or polyploid I believe.. extra set of chromosomes. But as to why it jumps from from main stem to side branching I dunno

@esotaro, yeah I love watching these progress. I got one going now and it was just like this, but on the third node it switched and went to a side growth.. so instead of moving up the main stem it went off and the trileaf started on the 3rd node side growth. Then the main vertical growth went to normal two leaf/growths..
