New growth is a little yellow but i’m gonna wait and see what happens from here. It has been extra cold these past 2 weeks and the space heater I have been using is not helping much.

Why is my seedling so pale? It is cold in my grow space in the basement. She has been growing slowly and I figured the recent cold temps are the reason for that. She’s in the same soil mix as her dark green roommates. The pH meter shows a little on the acidic side.

Hey, I have a few questions and suggestions. If you need more help after this, or want to add in any extra info start another question. We don't get notified of tags in the questions or of replies its weird. Looking at your diary I don't see PH number for when your watering? and that your using recycled miracle grow substrate. if that medium was not prepared and cleaned it could be part of your problems, sometimes pathogens can hide in there if its not composted or heated before hand. It also might be depleted in terms of nutrients. As the baby sprout in week 1 and 2 it was looking proper, real good. Now as its growing up its looking a bit sad and lemon lime vs green. so the seeds where good makes me think its in the medium more so. How are your monitoring the PH of the soil to know its a bit acidic? and what PH did you get for it? Few things to try that may help you improve your grow. 1)Try and heat the room a bit in the day, 18c/64.4f is not bad, but wold be nice to get that around 21c/69.8f, Night time temps could also be boosted by a few degrees as well. 2)Start monitoring the PH of your water. What PH you want will depend on how your feeding them. Dry amendments like Gaia Green/Dr.Earth or liquid feed like BioBizz/General Hydroponic. Normally dry is anywhere between 6.4-6.8PH and liquid is anywhere from 5.5-6.2. 3)Give your plants some food, the lemon lime green colour to me says I'm hungry and need a bit of food daddy. 4)Try lowering the light a bit to give it more to work with, 2"-4", they are not stretching so that's a good sign the light is descent, If you have a light meter use it and try and find its PPFD or PAR rating at your current canopy level. Sometimes some plants are better off at establishing themselves vs others. In my grow right now one of my plants is BOSS as its root game and everything else is the same for all the other plants, its just genetics sometimes. but we should be able to tell how to give them a boost by the symptoms they are showing us. I think you can recover this and it will be a balling plant once your try some of the steps above and give it a day or two to eat. Might be best to use a fast acting fertilizer right now and mix in some organic stuff if you want to go that route. Best of luck and happy growing!

Finally got the heat dialed in, and now the grow space stays in the high 60s and 70s rather than the low 60s. Nights are still cold but the plants all look so much happier, especially little Bruce here. Her neighbor started looking droopy this week so I moved her out from under the light and moved the light onto Bruce. I’ll be watching to see how she likes the change.

Leaf tips are yellowing a bit. It could be nutes or maybe cold? Other than that she’s doing great, lots of new branches coming in. Spotted the first pre-flowers on the main stem. Top dressed with 3 scoops of flower girl, as well as the solids from the tea I fed the growoff plants. Oops 😬 I broke a frickin branch halfway through while attempting to LST with the thick wire. Bandaged it with a small piece of duct tape. The branch was mostly recovered the next day and fully recovered the day after that!

And so begins a new week for my beautiful green friend 🧑‍🎤 Unfortunately I broke the wounded branch so I pruned it off. I bought an aloe Vera for the grow space so I’m prepared for such tragedies in the future! She still looks like she will be a big girl though. Watered with Flower girl and molasses tea + banana peel water diluted to 3 liters.

🌷🌼🌹I’m curious how you all think about this. What do you consider to be day 1 or week 1 of flowering in an auto? Is it when the pre flowers appear? Or when the buds appear? This is my 3rd grow and I have this question every time. When does vegetating end and flowering begin?

With photo period plants, most people say their in flower after they switch their lights to 12/12. They go through their stretch for a couple of weeks and then you notice button size buds. Thats when their finally in true flower. With autos you will first see pistols, then they do their week or couple week stretch and then show button size buds. Thats when their truly in the first week of flower and they can finish anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. Depending on genetics, health and grow environment.

I harvested one of my mature growoff plants and moved Bruce to her old spot in the flowering area of my grow space. Started the week with more LST and defoliation. Pruned the lowest branch and a couple of the fan leaves that were blocking light from the new growth. I’m happy with her even though she’s taking her time getting into flower. I think this could be the week I’ll start to see the buds forming.

Dr earth tea: 2 scoops flower girl + 1 tbsp honey + 1 quart water, steeped overnight then diluted and watered in. Remodeled the grow area to make best use of the insulating wrap from the old water heater. The old Mylar was falling so I took most of it down. I re-taped the insulation with a different tape that sticks to the basement wall better. Rearranged to make space to start plants for the garden! Starting peppers this week and maybe tomatoes.

The flowers are looking so good, strong luminous white tendrils reaching out. Some nice fat buds appearing. Defoliated and removed the larfy growth, down to about 15 tops now. Heavy feeding this week around the full moon. Top dressed and did a liquid application of 2 scoops + molasses.

She’s looking happy as a…. Tree in fish shit? She has been looking a little hungry so I brewed up a flower girl tea for her. 3 scoops + molasses + water, w the bubbler overnight + fish shit. I realize at the end of this week that she’s getting close. I have enjoyed this lady so much. She’s breathtakingly beautiful and smells delicious, like citrusy pine. Buds are looking 🔥 I’m actually sad that she only has a week or 2 left.

This plant is an incredible beauty and smells like the best thing in the world too. Makes me a little sad and wistful to think of harvest coming soon. Light feeding this week as she finishes up. 1 scoop flower girl + molasses + fish 💩

I loved growing this strain from @Sweet_Seeds! I’ll definitely try their genetics again. She’s beautiful and vigorous and smells amazing with pine and citrus notes that remind me of my time in Colorado. My best grow yet.
