I used root riot cubes in a mini propagation tray. Just put 1.5 ml in a water bottle for the first 2 days then added .2 ml orca and sprayed top of cube then left it alone. Sprouted on day 4 of dropping in cube.
This week I noticed good growth, not too much stretching.
I saw the roots break through the cube on all sides including the bottom so I decided to transplant into my dwc system.
I gave a low strength nutrient res to minimize shock if too young.
I added the cardboard cut out to block light from getting into res.
I will most likely leave the res until the roots have established a root zone, if needed I will top up.
This week I monitored pH and humidity mostly.
I noticed she sped up growth so I raised the nutrient dose to half veg dose recommended.(2ml/L for A&B)
I noticed she had a long tap root through so I lowered water level to 2 inches below netpot.
This week I noticed her roots have fully established and become huge when I changed the res but I forgot to take pictures.
I monitored PH, and started training using garden wire.
I added z7 part 1 & 2, Cal Mag, and Silica Blast.
This week I monitored PH and growth
I'm leaving reservoir for another week since I'm using z7 and orca
Depending how she looks next week, I might introduce a small amount of bloom nutes with the grow.
Haven't seen a need for topping up but will continue to check.
I did notice slight burn on her tips, I'm not sure if that's from more nutes or the light.
I accidentally scratched a hole and splashed some nutes on one leaf but other than those spots she's been growing good.
I have more branches than I expected and I'm trying my best to train them all.
This week I noticed she started to smell and I'm not complaining.
I noticed her pistils after I trained her into the trellis.
I noticed tons of new nodes and branches, so I decided to cut a huge fan leaf blocking light to the fresh nodes.
I added bloom nutrients and bud candy now that she is in flower.
This week I noticed some good growth.
I also noticed the pH was good every time I checked.
I added big bud and upped bloom dose to 3/4 and lowered grow to 1/4 dose.
I did cut some fan leaves off, and one that was dying.
Gonna change reservoir out again next week.
This week I kept reservoir topped up.
I also did some major defoliation that was really overdue and she took it well I think.
I also raised second trellis to even out the canopy.
And added a dehumidifier to keep humidity down.
This week I didn't do much just defoliate and try to keep humidity and temps down
I have kept the same nute ratio since the 2nd week of flower next week will probably be all bloom nutes.
I haven't had to adjust pH due to the advanced nutrients which I love ! Every time I check it's where it should be!
This week I didn't do much just defoliated and moved branches around.
I decided to stop giving grow nutrients.
I upped the amount of bud candy to the full recommended amount.
Next week I will switch from big bud to overdrive.
This week I watched for deficiencies and noticed she looked like she needed calcium so I gave cal mag and I think it's improving.
I also defoliated and upped the amount of big bud to recommend amount.
I think this will be my last dose of big bud, I'll be switching to overdrive but not completely sure yet I'll have to watch growth.
So I got busy and a little lazy and decided not to update the last two weeks but I have pictures.
I decided to lower strength to quarter strength and I switched to overdrive from big bud the last 2 weeks.
This week I cut out all the bloom nutrients and will be flushing using flawless finish.
P.S.
The smell is amazingly stronger then it's been the whole grow! I can't wait to finish the harvest, dry, and cure!
I'll be using grove bags to cure and a moisture meter to judge when to cure.
Dang where'd you get the genetics? Was it a m/f freebie? Havent seen this strain yet.. good job! I was checking out the Bloomspect light for myself. Priced very nicely. How do you like it?
@GrowingGreen420,
I love NASC! I got an End Game x Skunk Hero fem as freebies.. but all the other freebies I've gotten were m/f.. purple roze.. gmo zkittlez.. but NASC is my go-to. Damnnear anything with MeanWell and Samsung are pretty good. ViparSpectra has some cheaper lights than others with MeanWell and Samsung.. not sure what that version of Bloomspect has, they could do great for a run or 2 but then crap out. I had 3 Mars Hydros ts1000s crap out in 3 years.. i do like their new FC series tho.. but I normally run my lights no more than 50 to 75% power. I also use overkill lights. Rated for a 4x4 but I use it in a 2x2.. able to raise it up, crank it to 75% and get the corners up to about 700 PPFD! Minor heat, components can last alot longer too. I personally think overkill is the way to go. Just cuz its rated at 200W doesnt mean you need to use it all to get all the photons they need.. but you can still, if needed. Lookin good tho. Hope you get a great harvest!
@Professor_Chaos, I got them from North Atlantic Seeds, they were the Ethos freebie and were femenized autos. The light so far is doing justice, I'll have to wait and see how the buds develop for my final decision.
I do want to upgrade to something more advanced and powerful still looking as of now tho.
