Setup: Fox Farm Coco Loco + 10% Perlite + 10% earthworm castings + 10% bat guano for my soil.
5 June: Put 1 seed into a small cup of PH'd water for it to soak for at least 24 hours.
11 June: She emerges from the soil wanting to play. I gave her a root drench with Mykos in the morning.
18 June was transplant day. I didn't do the usual transplant technique, I just placed the jiffy pot right in the soil with some Mykos sprinkled in there for the roots. By weeks end I will give this girl another root drench with Mykos.
23 June: Day 13 and she is looking quite nice. She is filling out more and more each day and I'm excited to see how she will grow.
I did a short ponytail overnight from Day 17 to 18 so she looks funky. I haven't started her on nutrients yet because she is still feeding off of the soil.
Going into this week, I started this girl on 25% strength nutrients and will work my way up by next week to 50% strength. I've also been working on LST, and very minor defoliation right now. I will defoliate as I go along.
This week went by smoothly. I did some minor defoliation throughout the bottom leaves and a few fans up top to let light in. She is growing nicely and I haven't had any issues with her.
15 July: Day 35 and 5 weeks complete and I'm showing pistols and hopefully she goes hardcore into flower mode. She is real short and hopefully she stays short during the stretch portion of pre-flowering into flowering.
Coming into this week, she is growing vertical on the slow pace, which I'm good with. I don't want ladies getting too tall. I defoliated and cut some lower branches off to hopefully put more into the tops flowering. The smell is still on the weak side until you get right up on her. She has taken well to all that chopping I did yesterday.
Starting this week, I am not too fond of this girl!!! She is slow as molasses, ha, get it, well anywho, slow as stagnant pond water to flower. It feels like she is stuck in some time warp, or I’m just really high! I do expect her to put on some kind of height here in the NEAR future. I hate to say this, but this one might have to go in the other tent to finish up as I have 2 photo plants, still in seedling stage that will fill the tent in a SCROG. I have had to cut fan leaves about every 2 days to make room, then chop off what I think will not make it to a light source at the lower end of the plant. She also seems as she may need more Nitrogen as she is a pale green, but I’m hesitant on giving her more than 50% strength.
