Day 7
Love these humidity domes
Day 22: Cat chewed a couple times on a leaf, but no terrible damage.
Day 23: LST day, I tied down the top of the plant and placed a couple side branches. Let's see how it reacts.
Day 24: LST looks successful, the side branches are catching up really nicely to the grow tip, I think this will work out for the more even canopy.
Day 32 Gonna give this one her flowering feed. She's looking great. I am excited to see my lst work more accurately build an equal canopy height.
Day 35: I'm seeing purple in the buds, starting with the veins on the sugar leaves.
This week was amazing, she really showed her colors as soon as she flowered and now 12 days or so in is a deep purple on all her buds. I was specifically looking for purple strains so this is a huge win for me!
Just a beautiful plant, and the smell is undeniably purple lemonade, when you first smell it your brain just goes "yup, that makes sense". It so lemony it smells sour. This is going to be a unique smoking experience for sure!
Day 51: She's a beautiful plant, purple as hell and still smells intensely lemony, although the diesel smell is starting to dominate more.
Day 55: Smells amazing, looks great. Not going to be the biggest harvest, but if i end up with an ounce+ dry weight I'll be happy. She seemed to be fading a little early, so I gave her the 60 day feed a few days early.
Day 57: Looks like that early feed helped, but she's also just maturing quite quickly. The fade slowed down at least.
Day 60: Looks amazing, but is not going to last 90 days. She was fading a bit last week, she recovered post 60 day feed, but she's still going to be done before 90 days I'd guess.
Day 70: She looks amazing, deep purple, heavy scent of diesel with citrus. Her leaves have been fading a little and you could certainly harvest and be happy at 10 weeks with this pheno.
Day 74: Not much change, a little fox tailing but I suspect she's done getting bigger. We are going to run her the full 90 days just to keep the cycle going well, but I'm sure shes harvestable right now. Trichomes are still mostly cloudy though :) so who knows.
Day 78: Looking great, yellowing slowed down with a dose of micronutes, so I suspect this was actually micro nutrient def around 50 days. Looks like she's putting on a little more growth, and although there are lots of amber trichs I think this one us appropriately going to take about 90 days.
Day 84: The smell is really shifting now from the intense diesel towards citrus/berries. The buds are hard as rock and huge. So looking forwards to smoking this. A week to go! She's coming down on day 90, the first plant I've been able to actually delay gratification on to begin the harvest every two week cycle!
Day 86- 4 days to go! I broke off the smallest popcorn nug as a tester bud and mixed it with some Purple Punch. The result tasted a lot like fruit loops. Can't wait to see this one dried and cured!
Day 89- 1 more day. I have actually managed to not cut this plant down for 90 whole days. I have successfully delayed gratification for the first time. TOMORROW WE HARVEST.
I invested in these seeds so I could see purple weed grow myself. I didn't really believe that weed could look like this, and, it also just happens to smell like one of the best weeds I've ever smelled. It's jaw dropping. If you are on the fence, don't be, this is the real deal. You literally can't buy anything like this at the OCS in Canada.
Day 90 has come, and the plant is down. Based on the 4.75 ratio I have seen in full plant drying I would expect the 190 grams of wet weight to translate into about 40g dry, maybe a bit higher because these buds are huge and the plant is not very stemmy. That's certainly more then I smoke in two weeks, which is the only real measurement here as far as I'm really concerned; the idea of the 90 day autoflower cycle i'm running with 6 plants is to have a new one every two weeks. Check my other journals to see the rest of the flock!
She's a beautiful plant, that's for sure. I've been smoking for 10 years in Canada, and even since legalization I have never seen anything like this ever. I love making artisan products like smoked brisket or fermented hot sauce that you literally cannot buy, and this is one of those just weed.
Drying Day 2: It's certainly fun to have just one small plant drying; you can take the whole thing out and easily examine all of it.
Drying Day 5: Snuck a small bud last night, very calming, relaxed with a heavy center of brain feeling.
Drying Day 8: Looking good, no where near the branches snapping yet. My drying box does a very good job of spreading out the drying over two weeks.
edit: by the end of the day the single branch that had broken off was snapping. really makes you think regarding the moisture in the stems contributing to slowing the drying down to hit that 2 weeks.
Drying day 11: It's dry, I have trimmed and bagged it. I came out with about 36 grams total, a couple of tester nugs weren't weighted.
Looking real good growmie👍 mine are finally busting with color and they have this candy grape crush smell , with a sour lemon Flav 👌 so good , looks like your not far off ..... happy upcoming harvest 👍
Bag appeal is gonna be amazing with those buds! I also have coveted the rare purple weed. Please keep us updated and don't forget the smoke test report!!!
@DEVS_GENETICS,
It's everything i wanted when I bought a bunch of purple weed seeds :). 15 years of smoking constantly and I've never been able to buy something like this in Canada. I thought pictures of weed that looked like this were manipulated to be honest.
@420Highlifecouple,
Yours looks amazing too! In twenty years of smoking and 3 of legal canadian weed, i've never been able to buy anything that looks or smells like like this!
@Tropicannibis_Todd, Thanks friend! I have a Fast Buds Purple Punch going now that is a couple weeks older, but is solid green. I'm hoping it will turn purple towards the end. The Purple Lemonade is clearly turning dark purple immediately upon flowering. The smell when you rub the crystals of the PL is insane, like so lemony it smells sour. I can't wait!
