Thanks to Luis at ACE seeds, I am blessed enough to have in hands this new wicked cross: Golden Tiger 2 (Thai x Malawi) X A5 haze. It have to remind me about ACE's Killer A5 Haze, diffrence would be the Thai influence, as Golden Tiger 2 was bred to be Thai dominant. What to expect? I can only guess... Longer flowering, high tolerance to mold and heat, maybe a little less psychedelic effects and maybe a little less nute hungry. Also sowing a 3rd Bubba Kush X Malawi, because I love both plants previously harvested, and one more All Gaz OG from Humboldt seeds Company, as all 3 currently growing plants looks absolutely stunning.

All seeds cracked open and had tap root out after 48hrs in paper towel. They were delicately put in a 6 inch pot.... until my cat found them, used them as litter, pee on them and scratch my soil all over.... Lillte bastard.... Only the Malawi-Bubba stayed untouched. I spent quite some time trying to find the open seeds on my bedroom floor. At the end I came with the idea to put all remaining soil (and hopefully with the seeds =) in a saucer, so if the seeds were still alive, they would have a chance to break soil without risking to be buried to deeply. Lucky enough, they broke soil. But they randomly ended up being very close to each other, so I had to be extra gentle for transplant. All 3 are alive and back in a 6 inch pot. Only thing is, I'll have to find who is the Golden-A5 and who is the All Gaz OG.

Basically a wasted week as far as vegetation of these seedlings. Low temps, extreme low humidity and most of the time they were under 12-12 because of my laziness. Back on track for next week, in a 2x4 with a 250w Metal Halide for more heat and adequate level of light under 20-4 schedule. Also set up 2 wick system with towels and fans to raise RH as much as possible. ....Who will be the Golden A5? After my cat crashed my pots earlier, I am taking a guess this week.

I'm doing my best to keep the humidity in an acceptable range. Again, it is very dry here. Result is slow grow and lack of vigour. It is week 4 in real time.

Slow week. I figured that my issue was too strong light intensity. All plants got lowered of 18 inches. Having them closer to the floor reduce temps and raise VPD. It Should help with the slow grow. On the other hand, one of my tent was meant to be used for this grow, but instead is used to flower some Zamaldelica, for at least 8 more weeks. Buying time VS. keeping them healthy is the best I can do.

Good ol', built in magnetic ballast, 250w hps fixture is not working anymore, seems like the capacitor fried. This puts my in dodgy situation, as life is getting expensive these days, I *almost* reached out to a light sponsor here on GD for a free lamp. Sativaman resisted the temptation !!! Consequence is, plants are moved from one flower tent to the other, according to light cycles. They got transplanted last week. So all of them really enjoyed the transplant and fresh soil. They bounced back and got topped today. Golden A5 really shows it's sativa background with thin narrow leaves. So far she is still compact, and if I compare to the possible pheno out of her sister Killer A5 haze, compact structure could come from Haze or Northern Light genetics. She is the star of the grow -=) Bublawi shows not much of the Bubba Kush indica dominance. Medium to narrow leaves reminds me the ones of Malawi. The Malawi dominant plant from previous crop is one of the strongest weed I've ever smoked. She have a bright future ahead =) All Gaz OG is not impressive, she was and is still about to be kicked out. Her small size is not acceptable for week 7. Even if I neglected her. I am waiting to see if the petiole are long or regular to decide: long petiole and small plant is a weak pheno.

Finally made it to the point where plants are of decent size!! Oufff!!! Thanks to some skipped week cause in real life, they are at week 8.😔 Still small and not so much branching out. Nevermind because most of my space is used by 3 large Zamaldelica tree 😀. Plant 1 had to be re-staked to allow some floor space. They got transplanted to their last container Friday and light schedule was swapped at same time. Because of lack of space they are in 7 gal fabric containers instead of regular 15 gal containers. Soil, witch I suspect is somehow depleted, was ammended with gypsum, basalt rock dust, kelp meal, potassium sulfate, and Gaia Green power bloom... (Stay tuned as I am moving away from spending $$$$ into fertilisers). Plants look happy! They've never showed any stress from transplant. Now Sunday was their first full watering. 1 gallon gave a little runoff out of 2 containers. 1 gal is really the perfect measure of water for a 7 gal smart pot. *************** ACE's Golden A5 (Golden Tiger V2 (Old Malawi Killer x Thai Chiang Mai) X Nevil's A5 haze (Northern light #5 x Haze A) She is showing some vigour. Narrow fingers leaves with medium internodes. She have potential to be huge 😀. I Love huge plants! ACE's Bublawi (Old Malawi Killer x Katsu Bubba Kush) She have been growing on a steady paste from start showing the best adaptability to arid conditions. Leaves fingers are of medium size like phenotype 2 previously grown. Very potent smoke 😀 Humboldt's All Gaz OG (Vennom OG x Humboldt OG) She seems to be thriving. I am still unsure if I can relate her to a previously grown phenotype. So far, no smell.

Very happy with the growth this week, plants adapted to new containers and kept their paste. All of them got their bottom cleaned, some nodes and fan leaves where removed. LST on one branch of the All Gaz OG, all the restlooks pretty even so far. ***************************************************************** Major changes this week, is the beginning of new era, introducing my first Worm bin. I got from a local small business a kit with a «Worm Factory 360», some original bedding and half a pound of Red Wigglers composting worms. The kit includes the composter itself with some coco, shredded paper, pulmice, rock dust, a pack of Nemathodes, so everything to start you Worm farm out of the box. Producing my own Worm Casting will be the new base of my fertilisation. I plan to feed the worms with my kitchen scraps and some bone meal for a perfect N-P-K ratio. Nutrient prices is exploding all around the world. Recycling your own kitchen waste to be self sufficient seems like the right move. Worm castings improve soil structure, increase both water retention and aeration. It is odourless. Nutrients in worm castings are in a form that are easily absorb-able by the plants, and contains natural high levels of fulvic and humic acid with plants hormone and natural PGR.

Flowering has begun for the Bublawi, and the OG. The Golden A5 is getting pretty large and have not shown any pre flowers yet. The Bublawi does not show much from Malawi genetic so far.

Plants are still fairly small and adapted well to the space I can offer them. Golden A5 is growing wide with thick solid side branches. Great vigour. Bubba Malawi is developing mostly Bubba structure. The OG is a new phenotype.

Golden A5 is huge, considering her small size at flip and her container size. She is a heavy drinker too. Strong branching out. Malawi Bubba, definitely Bubba dominant, with strong thick stems, tight nodes. All Gaz Og have some purple parts on some leaves. Smell is not very pungent so far.

This update is posted a week later. Pictures were took just after chopping the monstrous Zamaldelica. Golden A5, she had a few spots on lower leaves, I was sure it was water splash and did not worry about it. Did not took long to figure out it was Phosphorus deficiency. Golden A5 seems hungry, despite soil was generously amended she needs more nutrients. Bubba Malawi, she is very compact, very strong thick stems, floral sent. Very low maintenance. OG, I don't have a picture of her from that week. She smells lovely. Nice pine, licorices and swamp smell.

Plants seems to enjoy the extra space in the tent. I Love this run with 3 very different type of flowers developing. Wish I could have grown them bigger, but I had no room. Golden A5, this one is an other massive Sativa plant, with a more tropical overall look, maybe more than anything previously grown: light green large leaves with thin blades, lots of biomass. She showed some P and K deficiency that I did not catch in time so she have a few leaves that are affected. Nothing to worry about. My only problem is, I don't have nothing to give to her to raise P, without adding at least a little of N, and she is showing some clawing in leaves tips. So far just a little metallic smell... She is just about to start to swell up. More than half way to go! Bubba Malawi, her tops are getting big and she have started to mature, will be a fast finisher. Smell is fruity. OG, her leaves are a beautiful green olive, and flowers are really coming along. Smell is pungent and strong, I can smell the exhaust from the sidewalk.
