The plants were neglected during the holidays as a lot of time was spent with family rather than tending to them. They started as clones around beginning of December and were root bound in 1 gallon pots with and high runoff ph around 8-8.5 by Jan 8 when I finally had more time as holidays were over and not as busy. Repotted into 6 gallon container on Jan 8th and have watered twice with Fox Farm Boomerang with a pH around 5. The runoff is around 6.8 now and plant has bounced back. When pH runoff was high stems were very purple and lots of burned leaves. Plant is greening up with new stem and leaf growth a healthy green.
Clone 3 - Runoff pH 7.2. Add ammonium sulfate next watering
pH runoff around 6.1 and need to start bringing pH nutrient solution up from 5. These plants were struggling as they got root bound over holidays and pH runoff was over 8. Not sure if they ate all the acidic nutes up or what being so root bound but they are looking better and runoff pH is low 6 now after repotting and watering to runoff the last several times with pH 5 Fox Farm Boomerang solution.
Nutrient solution pH brought to 6.0 and soil run off water pH was 6.5. Plants are looking healthy and won’t feed next watering as it’s been a few weeks since last break.
Plants continue with their healthy growth. Next watering will be plain water as all the plants are looking good and don’t want to over feed. Plant 3 should have a small does of ammonium sulfate as the runoff ph is starting to go up and is at 7.1.
Flowers are starting to fill in good and getting a nice strong smell. For some reason runoff ph has increased over the past few weeks to where it is around 7.0 when feeding with 5.8 solution. For some reason I struggle with what seems like increasing ph during the grow at times and went ahead and gave a sulfur mix after feeding to see if it stops the rising ph.
Started using just plain water for the last 1-2 weeks to finish them off. The plants are sticky and have a sweet/berry smell that is very pungent after a few seconds. The nights have been in the low 60’s and upper 50’s causing the leaves to turn purplish.
