2nd week of germination looking good! This is 14 days from emergence and 16 days from germination. Plant in a seedling station with 75w smd3030 full spectrum 3500k, 6" away. Heat mat keeping soil and roots @ 25C humidity and temp controlled 20gal long fish tank. I'll add pics if anyone is interested,
This girl is a beast, she is growing so nicely. She will be in her final pot and in the veg room under my new MeiJiu F4Max-v3 480W 5000k Fire Unicorn. Can't wait to see it in action.
Lets start off with the Gas lantern lighting technique, this was invented in the 1800's I believe, by hemp farmers. if you give the cannabis light for 1 hour in the middle of the night, then you will keep it from going into flower.
So if you leave the lights on for 12 hours, then darkness for 5.5 hours then 1 hour of light then 5.5 more hours of darkness. This will give you the growth of a 18 hour light day but you will only use 13 hours of electricity. Plants are more rested, faster growth and tighter node spacing. Overall very advantageous. It generally shortens veg by 2 weeks. the Jobes organics 4-4-4 is 17g per gallon, Above measurement system would not allow this. Will start LST and FIMing once plants have settled from transplant. Added extra Silica to boost available Si until microbes can catch up and degrade the vermiculite properly.
had an issue with ph right after transplant, not sure if water was off or soil had a surge. im thinking fish tank water ph was way low. issue corrected. Removed some leaves for structure and airflow. LST and FIM. See what it looks like next week.
plant is finally showing signs of recovery from the PH issue, and as a result is showing some signs of deficiency and new growth is showing signs of recovery. Soil is showing good signs of microbe activity. However this plant is not acting like the other one at all. The thunderfuck seemed to not like the intense light either also seems to be a delicate when in a heavy feed situation. Oh well, the reason why we do experiments.
Well plant has really recovered from my PH accident. Thank God! I was able to give her some more LST. 1 to 2 weeks more of veg and she will be moved to the flower tent.
now that the plant has fully recovered it is growing nicely, i will leave it for min. 2 more weeks before I flip to flower. I have decreased light intensity to encourage some stretch.
well as you can see she is slowly crawling out of her previous issues. This is just not growing like the Thunderfuck genetics I have heard of. Amended for extra veg time. Gonna just leave her and feed only fish shit and humic and fulvic acids
She is growing again and larger, full adult size leaves are now growing back. Going to leave her to the veg room by herself in the coming week. When we will FIM her and do some more LST, depending on how well she grows this week.
starting to grow normally after recovery. Will be doing more LST and FIM'ing the near future. Hopefully wont need much more veg time. Going to try and stimulate growth this week with some natural products
well i never thought this plant would take so long to mature but here it is, finally at a spot that I can flip it into flower. next need to clean her all up.
well got her all cleaned up and spread out, going to try a hybrid scrog, but with some lower buds too as this new light of mine is great at canopy penetration. I want to see if its better to keep lower bud sites or remove them
coming along nicely now that it is starting its 2nd week of flower this is actually the first week of flower to me because the first week is a transition period where balanced nutrients are required. This is an 8 week strain. Let's see how long it actually takes to mature.
What can I say she is coming along nicely. Not showing any signs of deficiencies or nutrient burn. Bud size is the same as a salts run with General Hydroponics Flora Series. Fingers crossed I've got my bloom formula nailed down now. Resolved an issue with fungus gnats and having a small problem with some 2 spotted spider mites, which I treated with some predatory mites which is the reason I had to turn up the humidity as this species of predator mite likes it above 60%.
week 4 and she is filling out nicely. bud growth is on par with a synthetic grow. Smell is wonderful! There is something in the organic soil that makes the weed smell divine. I'll never go back to synthetic nutrients. 4 weeks to go can't wait.
week 5 of flower and she has started to show some frosty, frosty, diameter of buds is growing nicely. under canopy seems to be developing nicely as well. Light is penetrating into the lower canopy thanks to the intensity and far red capabilities of this awesome light from Meijiu.
week 6 of flower and she is starting to put on the weight. Buds have not got more frosty, not sure if its the strain or I've missed something. We are going to go with it the strain and not me, LoL. RQS says 8 to 9 weeks for flower. We will see how accurate that is. i'm going to give some Silica this week to see if it will help with trich production.
according to the breeder this is a 8 to 9 week flower strain. coming up on 8 weeks now. pistil's starting to red up. smelling danky and citrus. getting impatient.
Well she is finally done and right on time just as the breeder said. I dry trim so plant has been harvested, washed and hung to dry. Should be 5 to 7 days until we can trim it and see exactly how much we got. I am not done with this North Thunderfuck, stay tuned for more to come...
strain started creeping slowly at first then later picked up steam. Slow to start but finishes fast. Right on time @ 8 weeks into flower. Took 5 days to dry and is now in jar curing. I like a 4 week cure before I start smoking it hard although I am a big proponent of smoking your weed as you cure it. So you can follow the changes that take place in your cannabis as it cures.
