After my last grow herming out on me half way through flower I decided to start a 9 plant run to achieve the fastest turn around possible.
Many firsts for me this run so I’m hoping this isn’t a complete disaster lol
Never grown this many plants in a small space on top of pheno hunting which makes this that much more difficult. I full run with my newly built drip system. As well as I switched to coco coming from promix.
Really excited about the beans from fisherman seeds. 100% germination is a great start! And more excited to see how they flower out🔥👌
The seedlings are growing well and loving the FC-E3000 from Mars Hydro, dimmed to 50% currently. This light is incredibly powerful😎
This stage of growth is always really slow but they should takeoff in the next week🤞
Lots of growth compared to last week. Looks like we will be flipping next week? Never flipped plants this soon so it’s exciting lol
#4 and #1 (biggest plants) are showing some deficiencies so I’m going to try increase the feed and see how they respond.
Feeding for 10 secs every 8 hours atm
This week has been going okay for the most part but still need to dial my drip system in a bit more, the back right plant appears to be over watered.
Feeding 1.7 EC instead of 2. Finding they don’t need too much at this stage and lights at 60% nearly 3 and a half feet away from the canopy.
Going to try push things another week before we flip🤞
Ran into issues with my drip system last week where some phenos were getting too much water. Expected this to happen as some plants require more inputs than others.
I topped the plants at their third node and then topped the third node on the stunted plants. I will then top the rest of the plants again for 4 main colas once the stunted ones recover.
I could’ve flipped by now but I’d rather have all the plants relatively healthy again🤞
The plants are looking much better this week as dailing in my drip system has been a new learning curve for me. They have been topped for the second and time for 4 main colas now.
Feeding 2 EC and have turn the lights up to 80%. They really love this FCE 3000 from mars hydro👌
Should be flipping at some point this week once I see that they completely fill out the canopy. I could’ve topped these plants way sooner but to be honest I didn’t plan on doing any topping this run.
Note: I heavily defoliated the stretchy pheno I have in hopes of stunting it’s growth while the others catch up so, that’s why she looks pathetic lmao
Finally flipping to flower! Pics were taken on the last day of veg.
I’m going to place my trellis net early to act as a cfm bar. The humidity is really spiking so I’ve turned my exhaust fans up. I’m leaving all the lower growth for now so I can take my clones next week.
This is a pheno hunt so I can expect a bunch of curve balls this run from irrigation to stretch etc. I’m hoping this goes down the way I am envisioning it. This could be my best or worst idea yet 😂 🤞
First week of stretch has been unlike anything I’ve ever seen👀 The plants have already doubled in height which is honestly a little concerning lol
The space between some nodes on the plants is 6 inches or more, which is a little too stretchy for my liking. My best guess is that my night temperatures have been really cold and I’ve heard that can increase the amount of stretch. Either that or it’s genetic. Will increase my night temps to a 5 degree difference for now and see how they respond.
Did an early lollipop as well. Usually I would have this growth removed pre flip, but I wanted to take my clones as late possible. I have to keep multiple moms and I don’t have much room. I didn’t even keep every pheno. I also select for vigor so if I see plants that are slow growing or have think branches, I don’t bother keeping those plants.
Fed 2.5 EC last but am seeing some slight yellowing on the tips so I’ll back it off a bit to 2.
Really praying to the weed gods they don’t stretch into the light🤞😬
Day 14 of flower and some phenos have already tripled in height👀👀
This is by far the stretchiest strain I’ve grown and since there are barely any flowers I can bet she’s only going to keep stretching. It’s looking like I’ll most likely have to super crop them so we’ll see how it goes next week. Did another lollipop and defoliation to try and stunt them.
Feeding 2.3 EC and still have the Mars Hydro FCE 3000 at 100% to hopefully limit the stretch.
Only removed 4 bottom nodes on each plant. It looks like a removed more but that’s just how long the node spacing is on some of these girls.
Praying they slow down soon😂🤞😅
Day 21 of flower and the plants are still stretching👀
One of the plants was 3 inches away from the light and was seeing signs of stress even at 50%. I decided to super crop some of the plants. Curious to see how well they recover.
Did a heavy defoliation and still feeding 2.3 EC. Plants are now about 12” from the light so we went back up to 75%.
Should be on cruise control for the most part now but will still have to monitor any stress🤞
Insane amount of growth this week. Some phenos are still stretching👀👀
Should expect a 10 week run. Had to rely on some heavy supercropping this run so I’m curious to see how the buds develop.
Seeing a bit more tip burn on all the plants now so we’re going down to 2.1 EC this week.
Also did yet another heavy defoliation to let more air and light through the canopy, also to help bring every top to the same height and reduce the humidity.
Should be on auto pilot for a while now hopefully lol. It’s been really difficult to get in there to defoliate.
Just been crushing on auto pilot for now. Been having to defoliate almost on weekly basis but will leave them alone until at least day 42. This is a 10 week flowering strain which is why the buds seem small for their age.
Also had my lights dimmed down to 50% because we are only 6 inches from the light but have made way back up to 75% just monitoring any signs of light stress.
Still feeding 2.2 EC and have switched from generative to vegetive irrigation for the bulking phase.
Started to really see the phenotypical traits and I have some phenos that are catching my eye.
Had to dial back the drip system a bit, one pheno was getting overwatered so we’re pushing for more of a longer setback and the problem hasn’t continued.
Did another heavy defoliation after day 42 to let more light into the canopy and just an overall experiment to see how to plants respond in terms of flower production.
We have a 10 week minimum flowering strain although some will finish a lot sooner:)
Not much has changed this week. Just cruising on auto pilot. Aiming for a little more dry backs.
Reduced our EC to 2.1, looks like some phenos will need a couple more weeks but we’ll see how things.
Still cruising on week 10 lol.
This is the longest I’ve ever flowered and looks like they will still need more time. I have a pheno that I really like that’s already done so we’re going to wait a little longer for the others to finish up.
Haven’t changed anything from our last weeks schedule.
Most phenos had lime and hints of gas, some even menthol terps. Purple and green buds on every pheno. My winner ended up being dense gas terps with a bit of sweet on the back end and best yielder. She stood out from the rest.
This was a 9 plant pheno hunt so yeild was not our goal. We ran our lights at 60% for all of flower and Still we managed to get 215.6 grams, just 10 grams short of a half pound in my little 2x2x4.5 tent lol
If I mono crop the winner pheno it’s gameover!
Follow my YouTube channel in my bio for the whole grow from start to finish🙏🙌could almost double my yeild☺️ on too the next one🙏💚
@esotaro, yes sir! It’s an actual 2x2x4.5😁 most ppl will recommend 1 plant, 4 max. I personally would not recommend growing this many plants but Im crazy and still see room for more😂
@XII_XII_EarlyRaver, thank you bro! If it weren’t for the supercropping some of these plants would ve been 4.5 feet tall. I flipped them into flower when they were only a foot tall so they stretched nearly 4x👀
I personally wouldn’t flip before day 25-30. It’s different for each strain and plant, but they can’t biologically begin flowering until they’ve got enough of the hormones needed. So even if you were in 12/12 from the get go, they won’t flower until they’re ready biologically.
So keep that in mind, however if you’re worried about them getting too big, it may be a good idea to flip soon just so they slow down growth.
Love it man!
Yo my friend are u using led lights. U realize the actual led dont give off enough heat to harm plants. Heat comes from the drivers and such ..i researched any an every aspect of every stage .....usually u will get wind burn/damage before u get light burn from led... Have fun
Stay safe
Growers❤️💯💯
@2x2growing,i think if it's wotking at that setting leave it.. Wgat u can do is experiment up to 80 watch it 3days until u hit the sweet spot 6inches is close to hang light how big is ur light.....i usually hang around 12 to 16 inch in flower 2y for veg and never up pass 75 ..i have a 2000 from mars hydro very powerful .. My 1000 from viparspectra i use at 100.. I dont have a good ventilation mines is basic as caveman lolol..in a 3x3x6ft tent
@JamMAKEcan, hey bro really appreciate your support and advice. I am using leds and had signs of lights stress in week 2 of flower where one of the buds was a few inches from the light at 100% and it the buds were turning a pale white colour. I have the lights currently at 75% 6 inches from the canopy. Do you think I can turn it up more?
