Happy 02-22-2022 everybody!
This is looking like it's going to be a good week, now that I have my Ph under control and stable around 5.8-6.1 ...I have no idea why it was constantly fluctuating, but now it's staying stable, which is a big relief.
The roots are developing impressingly fast, and the branches are starting to get bigger. I tried to give a little extra calmag, and base nutrient for a tiny more nitrogen. PPM is sitting at 1478 and ph is at 6.1 right now. I also left out the fish shit, mainly because I don't have any left, and I do not plan on mixing setimemt together this week and see if it's nessisary. The only thing I've recorded it doing is; makes the ppm lowered (strange right?) And keeps the Ph the same so it seems like a wasted step.
I've noticed some leaf tips are kind of droopy, I was told it was a over or under watering issue normally in soil, but this is hydro, so I'm letting it go. All else looks great!! π
Going to be adding a few more small lights to increase the light intensity in the tent, my veggies aren't getting enough light sharing with the little freak! Bahaha

Lowered ph from 6.4 to 6.1, PPM sitting at 2200 (I'm not really looking too close at the ppm where I am using well water, until I see an issue).
Inner branches are growing and space between the nodes as well. Roots look the same, if not a little bushier.

Not much to report, all looks great. Did a little photoshoot today. Really feel like I could take pictures of cannabis all day long π Such a beautiful plant! β€οΈ

Fixed ph from 6.4 to 5.8
Ppm sitting around 2000
Inner growth doing really good, and roots look healthy. A little sludge on the top where the water was, but isn't causing an issue.
Beautiful plant! I came to check it out and saw you said you're nutrients arent staying stable. If you dont mind some advice, organics are really hard to successfully run in hydro. It's almost impossible to run a reservoir stable with organics in it. I use a 1 part grow and 1 part bloom chemical salts in my reservoir. It holds ph great for weeks and makes hydro enjoyable to grow in as it should be. Also 5 ph is too low. 6.0 or close to there gives you a good range to absorb all the nutrients. Best of luck with the rest of your grow
@WishiFishi, calcium absorbs better at higher ph. Ghe has a great chart that shows the best range that all nutrients absorb at. I guess this site wont let you paste links anymore though. I will definitely follow along on your grow. Love the way those freakshow leaves grow out.
@Wicked_Stix, I was actually having some calcium up take issues at the 6.3 I was sitting at, so I lowered it down a bit. I'll keep my eye out on it, I'm still learning and experimenting!
@WishiFishi, it's actually 5.5 to 6.5. At 5 you wont ever get enough cal and mag absorption. Even at 5.5 the plants will struggle to absorb. I thought you were using organics because you had fish shit listed on your nutes.
@Wyregrasser, Thank you so much π I will make a detailed review of the strain once she's finished and I've done a little smoke test! π I appreciate all the support
@WishiFishi, I'm just going to run them in solo cups and see what happens... basically testing a new fertilizer, grow dots from real growers... I added it a little heavier than recommended so maybe I can burn them a little. Thinking of flipping to 12/12 after 3 weeks to see what what they show, then re-vegging. Either way, your diary is going to help me in the long run so thank you.
@GroloCup, Good luck on your grow! When I did mine in soil, they seemed like they were always hungry, so keep that in mind! They are also relatively hard to sex, and barely need defoliation. That's about all I learned about the strain in my experience, hope it helps! I'm also going to follow along your grow :)
@WishiFishi, I've been hacking away the last day or so, looking to max out the sites before flipping... 4-7-22 is the day... hoping for ladies, or I'm going to have some pregnant Super Skunk lady with Freakshow crosses... Thats crazy that yours is so bushy, mine were going straght up with little side branching... I didn't do any training though so I should have figured...plants doing plant things... Mine looked a little bushy but it was all the crazy kale looking fan leaves...
@GroloCup,I decided against doing very much to this one, I didn't do any topping, and the only defoliation I've been doing is the top two fan leaves as they were getting too big and covering the tops. The canopy is doing it all on its own!
I still want to go in and lollipop a bit, but other than that, it's been pretty hands off. The thing I like about this strain, is it's very open to the light and airy, so it doesn't really need a lot of maintenence it seems.
@Wyregrasser, This leaf mutation is really bushy so far! Same thing happened to a few of my previous freaks, but they ended up stretching out their fingers after. Just upgraded my lights, so we will be seeing some nice changes in the near future π
