Saw some calcium uptake issues, so I checked my reservoir, and there were some big changes. PPM was 1000, and ph was 6.3
I added 1 tsp of Fish Head Farms Fish Shit, and fixed my ph to 5.0, making my ppm around 1600 (take away 460 from well water).
I also lifted my plant up onto a platform, because the floor is quite chilly. My lights are now delivering 500ppfd, and I will be increasing this over the next couple days to 1000ppfd.
**later
Ph raised to 5.8 after a few hours, going to check it again tomorrow to make sure it's not rising like crazy again!

Had a little accident when I flipped over the top to check the roots, the whole rockwool cube flipped out and broke in 3 pieces 😅🙄 I only broke 1 root tip, but its okay. Put back together, and it's a little taller now (so don't think it grew over night bahahah).
Tested the ph at 6.4, and lowered it down to a nice 5.6 (it'll probably just rise again though...) I am only using Fish Shit because I was recommended to introduce bacteria to my reservoir for the roots (Fish Shit packaging tells you its okay to use it in hydro) but I'm not liking it so far because my water keeps splitting and the ppm isn't very stable (constantly lowers, I think the nutrients are binding) so I will keep an eye on it for now, but next reservoir swap, I am thinking to stick with 100% "hydro" nutes to avoid having to stir the bottom sediment every day or more.
I noticed more brown spotting starting on the second set of leaves, not very happy about it, but I am keeping my ph monitored to stay around 5.5, and I dipped my cube into the reservoir to rule out a ph balance issue in the cube itself.
It did end up growing a bit overnight, and the new leave growth looks nice. Staying hopeful things will fix now with the ph, and if not then I will start considering refreshing the reservoir!

Ph was up to 6.3 again, lowered to 5.9 ish. I'm going to be redoing my reservoir in the next couple days using RO water instead of the well water for a better ppm reading this time. PPM is sitting at 1600 right now (-400 for well water). There are also new roots out of the net again already, and they look a lot healthier this time around! (Root pictures coming soon).
I am making sure the ph stays between 5.5-6.5 but holding it around 5.6-5.8 as much as I can, while the ph is constantly rising and fighting against me haha. All in all, looking hopeful and hasn't stopped growing.

Reservoir is finally a stable 5.9-6.0
All I can say is explosion!
No new issues popping up, I would say we're looking good.

Roots took off again, going to refresh my reservoir tomorrow to make sure it's getting enough nitrogen. Inner branches aren't growing much, but I figure it's working on root development right now.

Refreshed the reservoir, I'll add nutrient list in tomorrow's update in the new week information. Roots are still developing very fast and are getting fuzzy! 😀
Beautiful plant! I came to check it out and saw you said you're nutrients arent staying stable. If you dont mind some advice, organics are really hard to successfully run in hydro. It's almost impossible to run a reservoir stable with organics in it. I use a 1 part grow and 1 part bloom chemical salts in my reservoir. It holds ph great for weeks and makes hydro enjoyable to grow in as it should be. Also 5 ph is too low. 6.0 or close to there gives you a good range to absorb all the nutrients. Best of luck with the rest of your grow
@WishiFishi, calcium absorbs better at higher ph. Ghe has a great chart that shows the best range that all nutrients absorb at. I guess this site wont let you paste links anymore though. I will definitely follow along on your grow. Love the way those freakshow leaves grow out.
@Wicked_Stix, I was actually having some calcium up take issues at the 6.3 I was sitting at, so I lowered it down a bit. I'll keep my eye out on it, I'm still learning and experimenting!
@WishiFishi, it's actually 5.5 to 6.5. At 5 you wont ever get enough cal and mag absorption. Even at 5.5 the plants will struggle to absorb. I thought you were using organics because you had fish shit listed on your nutes.
@Wyregrasser, Thank you so much 💖 I will make a detailed review of the strain once she's finished and I've done a little smoke test! 😄 I appreciate all the support
@WishiFishi, I'm just going to run them in solo cups and see what happens... basically testing a new fertilizer, grow dots from real growers... I added it a little heavier than recommended so maybe I can burn them a little. Thinking of flipping to 12/12 after 3 weeks to see what what they show, then re-vegging. Either way, your diary is going to help me in the long run so thank you.
@GroloCup, Good luck on your grow! When I did mine in soil, they seemed like they were always hungry, so keep that in mind! They are also relatively hard to sex, and barely need defoliation. That's about all I learned about the strain in my experience, hope it helps! I'm also going to follow along your grow :)
@WishiFishi, I've been hacking away the last day or so, looking to max out the sites before flipping... 4-7-22 is the day... hoping for ladies, or I'm going to have some pregnant Super Skunk lady with Freakshow crosses... Thats crazy that yours is so bushy, mine were going straght up with little side branching... I didn't do any training though so I should have figured...plants doing plant things... Mine looked a little bushy but it was all the crazy kale looking fan leaves...
@GroloCup,I decided against doing very much to this one, I didn't do any topping, and the only defoliation I've been doing is the top two fan leaves as they were getting too big and covering the tops. The canopy is doing it all on its own!
I still want to go in and lollipop a bit, but other than that, it's been pretty hands off. The thing I like about this strain, is it's very open to the light and airy, so it doesn't really need a lot of maintenence it seems.
