just entered week 3 (16th day since i flipped to be exact) destroyers are the only ones i couldn’t keep happy so far and blue kush took its time before bouncing back so its gonna stay small but whatever i’m ok with that. the plants go like this in the second photo back row 4x3 gallon fabric pots from left to right: dina x blue kush, northern lights, dinachem, caribe middle row 3x5 gallon fabric pots from left to right: blue kush, cannalope haze, cannalope haze front row 3x5 gallon fabric pots from left to right: destroyer, destroyer, northern lights (started with another destroyer but was beyond salvation so i went with nl instead)

so i’ve been having problems with the destroyers. brutal yellowing on the upper leaves and tip burn. kinda having trouble pinpointing the problem so i’m feeding one of them with all-in-one liquid from aptus and not giving anything to the other. one has to get worse so i can do the exact opposite lol. been doing this now for about 2 cycles but no visible difference yet. on the upside it’s budding pretty well and the whole canopy under the yellow leaves are deep green and healthy. sounds like they are hungry but i’m pretty timid about doing big feeds as to my knowledge cannabiogen suggest lighter fertilization and i also did topdress these a couple of weeks ago. dinachem x blue kush showing yellowing on the upper leaves also. i don’t know if they’re hungry or what. i mean they look hungry but also exhibit tip burn i don’t think i locked them out but i’m just confused now i’ve actually top dressed this one 2-3 weeks ago and been feeding it with molasses, fish hydrolysate, fulvic, kelp and so on. i have a yeast co2 system where i put 2 kilos of sugar with 15 litres of water and a bit of yeast and it goes on for 10-12 days so with the co2 it produces maybe they are just eating more well anyway i’m gonna keep feeding them till the finish and hope for the best now. cannalope hazes are also showing good bud formation, bit of yellowing there too because they stand right in the middle with lower lights on each side so some tops stay 15cm away from the lights max so thats understandable i guess. they’re just big sativas probably around 170cm from the ground and maybe about 100 cm from the end of the main stalk to the tippy top. nl standing next to destroyers is also interesting by the way all around freaky. trifoliate with serious double serration and looking like a decent yielder too hope i can find something special in these s1s. the other nl is also looking alright. nothing freaky about it. not much. caribe seems like a heavy yielder. the first grow i did with it it was a runt. i had 3 seeds shipped (not from cannabiogen though) 2 popped and they were both runts, wasn’t even half the size of this one but i still kept a cut because i knew some plants just do better in their second run. maybe old seeds maybe my environment is so alien to them they need an adjusment period etc etc happened to me before and i’m glad i kept this one. dinachem s1 looks so pretty all bite size buds, no huge colas which is better for me because it means more uniform ripening and less chance of mold. it so far away from the lights tho i really do worry about if its gonna turn out well or not but dinachem always does. a favorite of mine. blue kush, definitely gonna yield tiny as its been through a lot so it only has 5 short branches and i still haven’t got a rooted clone of her. i don’t know if its stress or what but its impossible to clone her now. hope that changes in the near future because its such a sexy plant with an otherworldly high. epilogue i had to do a little bit of editing in photos to best mimic what i see when i look at the tent with my eyes (-15 temperature only) because somehow under my leds photos come out more like hps rather than daylight.

so the one on the left was doing better between the destroyers it was getting lusher and greener it was visible but not very pronunced in the photos but its there so i started feeding the other one too. just once so far tho because i had to be sure and i’m pretty sure its working, it may not be a deficiency but a balanced fertilizer helped it for sure. i’m having the same problem with cannalope hazes so i’ll do a little experiment with them too one will get fed the other will go just straight water but i think its just hungry too. its hard to do this many strains in one tent gotta keep an eye on everyone. my hybrids are doing well though i only have this problem with pure sativa lines but to be fair the smallest sativa in their is about 4x bigger than the biggest hybrid so maybe i should up my dosage. also frost is showing on the hybrids they are getting fatter everyday they will probably be done in about a month if everything goes well nl S1s may finish faster they usually do. we’ll see. edit: also i’m still following my light stress theory and a possible overwatering scenario with the yellowing gals so i’m gonna devise a plan to pinpoint.

ok so heres the situation i moved the blue kush out of tent as it was really getting crowded in there and its a small plant in a 5 gal pot never got over the transplant shock etc etc. still producing beautiful buds but in a 2x2. now that move gave me the opportunity to move the dinachem x blue kush f1 in between the cannalope hazes and really spread out the 3x3 gallon containers left on the back tray. also moved the lights closer which i wasn’t able to do because the f1 was twice as tall as the rest of them. and by the way instantly after 1 day caribe yellowed up like a mf :) guess it was used to getting less light and wasn’t able to adjust quickly. well all is good experience lol now i topdressed the cannalopes, destroyers, dinachem, f1 and caribe with farmyard manure and ewc all different times though. i topdressed caribe yesterday or the day before i can’t remember 100%. f1 was dressed 5 days ago so was dinachem and the cannalopes and destroyers. about a week prior to this topdress i also topdressed with guano and biobizz pre-mix i had left. maybe i should have gone heavier on the guano for the destroyers and cannalopes. live and experiment and learn :) generally they look better than what i thought they would look like after seeing that yellowing in the beginning. one cannalope is much better than the other one. one is losing leaves left and right, cannibalizing itself eventhough they get the same feed and topdress. the other one is getting greener day by day. strange. so i defoliated the damaged leaves of the cannibalizing one. don’t want any surfaces which may harbor mold. sugar leaves are pretty green on it still and i think it can survive and produce still but the yield is probably gonna be lower. or i just schwazzed a long long flowering sativa at week 6 and its gonna yield better than the green one :) destroyers are also happier at the moment bud size is decent and seeing this is a 12-14 weeker i think is gonna fill up quite nicely even the frost has started to show its face :) also i think i may go with straight water next week eventhough i’m really not feeding excessively or anything. i did 3 waterings this week and 2 of them were just with liquid wormcastings which has an npk of 0,2-0,01-0,2 or something like that. mostly a microbial and micro nutrient solution. i use water from my dehum thats why i have to add something i don’t want to feed with distilled water causing more problems for them. as the prior week the foliage under the yellowish leaves is deep green and very healthy so i think i’m gonna defoliate all the damaged ones before my next update. oh also it still cannibalizes its lower leaves. how can they be hungry still. and also i think both the destroyers and the cannalopes like very high P at this stage and really less nitrogen because the all-in-one liquid i fed them and seen satisfying results was like 4-9-6 or something and they were really responding to that. stopped using it this week tho because all that topdress and a salt based fertilizer, i don’t want to burn them. NLs are happy and doing their thing, seeing browning calyxes mostly so i’m gonna start introducing molasses and banana ferment this week for a K boost. they both have fluff at the lower canopy which i didn’t bother plucking because it makes good ethanol extraction material for chocolates. lol dinachem also has some fluff at the bottom (mhh chocolates) but the top nugs are just very nice. no big colas but just lots of single nugs all over that looks very delicious. the smell is there frost is there. pistils browning a little prematurely but i messed with it a little too much i’m sure its probably my doing so gonna wait for a week before i do K boost on that. caribe as i said earlier yellowing at an alarming rate and there is no way topdressed material can be effective this fast so gotta feed once or twice i guess. some pistils have browned already but not a lot i hope it can finish without any problems. the nugs actually look dense and yummy with a high calyx ratio. i think it still haven’t frosted up yet but the other clone i use for seed production is frosting up as it matures so i guess i’m gonna see some frost in a week or two f1 has frosted up real well actually buds really look like blue kush. even has the same purple coloring under its leaves. this cross has always been dynamite. very frosty very sticky amazing blueberry and rubber gas smells (from dinachem and its og kush parent i guess), a delicacy and its on the right track to becoming the best possible representation of itself :) gonna start doing K boost on that too. so thats the hard part of doing a multi strain grow, dialing it in takes forever and before you know it the grow is over and you havent dialed in anything rofl but i had to flower my bonsai stock to get new clones as these were dying of neglect. and i’m still hopetimistic about my chances of getting a good score out of these gals. and when the dinachem, f1 and the NLs finish in the next 3 weeks or so i’m gonna plant other stuff in their place because what a waste it would be to run a tent 16 weeks for the cannalopes and not using the empty space for doing another batch. thinking some blue kush s1s and got a line of chucking going which i’d be interested in seeing the results its something like ((dinachem x blueberry) x nl) x blue kush or something i have to check but there may be fire in there. anyway happy growing dudes and dudettes

so here we are at week 7 things are going ok i see healthy green leaves all over one cannalope and the other seems greener than yesterday but the damage is done of course the burned parts will not come back. if i see it recovering as much as possible i’ll take down the damaged leaves all together and just finish with sugar leaves on one. when it comes to the question why one is so much healthier than the other? my possible guess is because i topdressed the shit out of the healthier one. actually more like layered with complete soil mix to give the roots some more space too. thats not what i did with the other one. i just topdressed that one with compost and haven’t really given it more space to spread its roots. this is my guess to why one is much bigger and healthier than the other. all good experience for my next run. caribe is just barely alive at this point but still going hanging on. really missed the window on that one too. i should have topdressed as soon as i flipped and then once again 2-3 weeks into the flowering. next time for sure :) destroyers are not looking that bad buds are fattening slowly not many brown pistils yet but today they seemed bigger to me than yesterday. as i said not many brown pistils yet maybe a couple on each cola but frost is setting in and the smell is pretty good. those top leaves are not gonna recover completely probably but the lower canopy under them is green and healthy all the way and seeing they are not really getting worse i may just pluck the most damaged ones. i should always topdress at the appropriate time and hell with bottles lol nls and dinachem are coming along nicely, i fed some banana fpe to them as they’re in their ripening stage at the moment. nls should be almost done by now but i guess because they were extremely far away from the lights they haven’t ripened as well as they could. they still look pretty sticky though which is always nice. actually nl s1 #2 is a pretty strange plant, it has no smell. its sticky, frosty but it has no smell at all. maybe in the upcoming week it may develop some smell but at the moment i run my fingers on the sugar leaves they get sticky but can’t smell anything on them. strange trifoliate double serrated smell-less little freak gal :D lastly the dinachem x blue kush f1, such a beautiful plant. sticky, frosty, smelly, dense, colourful, potent. the only downside is my rh has been acting up for the last couple of days. i found out that it hit about 70% while i was asleep. it got back down to 54 on its own and it was only for 1-2hrs but that truly scared me. now i don’t see any mold on it. i even checked the inside of the nugs i don’t see anything at the moment and i hope it stays like that because i don’t want to cut it down yet, it would really benefit from going one more week. though to be honest i’d be ok with cutting it today and smoke would be dynamite. i had a lower bud tester a week ago and it was very potent smelly sticky weed but i’d be really happier if i can give it another week or so. by the way as pretty as this gal looks it smells even better. the high is pretty nice too makes you sing and giggle and relax but not an overbearing relaxation as stoned. just comfortable and chill and happy. really good high. i’m glad i got a clone out of it i’ll do another one once this one finishes. which with luck will be 1-2 weeks from now. happy growing to all!

things are going well one cannalope got a trimming i trimmed some of the burned tips off. it has basically 0 leaves at this point lol but its still going and its buds are huge but not like the other cannalope which is lush and green with many leaves. that one also has some tip burn etc but still its very deep green so i’m not touching it. though to be fair the unhealthy cannalope also has all its sugar leaves deep green too, only if i wasn’t so lazy and haven’t skipped on top dressing when i flipped them. i also harvested 4 tops each from bluechem (dinachem x blue kush) and nl s1 #2. they seemed to be at a good point where i don’t get much body effect and the high is cerebral and fairly long lasting. just the perfect head high i like. i could have let them go another week or two and get a little bit more yield but then it turns into heavy indica style high especially with nl so i took 4 tops from each and gonna let the lowers go a little bit more. around a week more. maybe 10 days. destroyers are also fattening up i don’t really expect the older leaves to green up completely at this point(so i may defoliate those this week) but still they greened up pretty well and the buds are getting fatter everyday. its gonna produce really well and by that i mean i’m looking upwards of 1.5gr/w on those. gr/w is not of course a great way to judge a grow but seeing that they got through some hardship during their time i feel like that yield would still be very satisfactory. i’m just starting to see browning pistils on it, just a couple of them so it has some way to go still but could be ready in 5-6 weeks hopefully. again i should have topdressed way sooner, at the flip. caribe lost all of its leaves but the buds are actually pretty much fattened up and look thick. now thats normally an 80 day or so strain but i havent grown it with care before and this time because its in the back tray sitting on the farthest corner of the tent which i have no access it got neglected again. but those fat buds tell me if i can grow it with love i can get a serious yield out of them. so i’ll let them go for another 2 weeks probably and harvest at 75 days or so. dinachem is a small plant as it was sitting at 75+cm from the lights but in the last two weeks i lowered the lights to about 40-50cm and with some banana peel ferment it started throwing pistils and fattened up well. i’m really happy with it, both the frost and the structure seems solid. no big colas but many small solid nugs. i don’t know how much its gonna yield in the end but i’m sure i’ll be happy with it. the smell is also amazing. very much gas. bluechem (dinachemxblue kush f1) is a personal pollen chuck of mine. both dinafem genetics which were really solid. very potent very smelly sticky buds on both parents so the offspring carrying those same traits is no surprise. really is a perfectly balanced f1 between those two strains. the smell both has gas and blueberry and fruit. very sticky dank buds, gonna keep this one around for a while. i have probably 200 more seeds of bluechem in my fridge but i’m gonna stick with this clone for a couple of runs because its really good and has beautiful colors too but i know there is even hotter fire waiting to burn in those seeds because i’ve grown a couple of these before and i even got one frostier pheno which was crazy and i’m really gonna do a full run from seed in a couple of months maybe 9-12 of them in 3 gallon pots in my 4x4. wow i got excited, still this one is just awesome too. no complaints whatsoever. i harvested 4 tops from nl s1 #2 but havent touched the #1 yet. #1 also shows the same growth spurt as the dinachem after the banana peel ferment and lowering of the lights so i’m gonna give it a week more. also when i harvest bluechem, dinachem and the nls, i’m gonna do another run with nl #2, bluechem, caribe and a blue kush s1 while waiting for the cannalopes to finish. so i’m waiting for those gals to get to a decent size in my 2x2 before harvesting completely and during that period partial harvest makes sense. so i’ll keep harvesting tops during this week. well anyway all is as well as it could be on my end, wishing you all bountiful harvests.

so its week 16 and i harvested all the plants in this time and my second harvest plants which i started running after harvesting early finishing hybrids are the only ones left running. again i couldnt keep the journal going which sucked but the yield was ok tbh i’m attaching the yield chart as i did partial harvests i recorded the dry weight of each harvest seperately after i jarred them. now there are still 5 plants left that i threw in there at week 9ish after my hybrids were done so in a couple of weeks there is gonna be another 100-150gr coming but this is the final tally at week 16. plus some larf i’m gonna make edibles out of. i didnt take the weight of the larf into account in my chart but there was probably around 100gr of larf total may be a bit more. i just didnt want this journal to be left unfinished. was ok not disappointed for sure could have been a tad better though, well there is always the next run haha

@ObloTheGrower, yeah pulled about 1.22 g/w of prime buds in 16 weeks which is very acceptable and mostly juicy juicy pure sativas which makes it even more acceptable haha not disappointed with this grow but follow my latest run for even bigger and better results. its gonna be a fun run, i promise :)

What really is the best strain out of Europe? Runtz gum from oss was great but even that is American genetics.
crimsonecho
crimsonechocommented3 years ago
@GYOweed, i have no idea which strain is the best. its a subjective matter isnt it. for me as i mentioned destroyer could shadow every other weed and lineage because its that good in effects and taste. its a decendent of thai and south american lineages and bred by cannabiogen. so i guess that would make it european. i dont really care for these poly hybrids with flashy names. “this shitfaced lady gaga lemon cookies is the bomb!” sure, sure it is and enjoy growing that imma stick with my destroyer and dinachem.
