went ahead an up potted into the 2 gallon pot. i need to make sure not to water too much until it grows more to prevent root issues. c'mon little buddy grow!
One of the things you might want to consider is adding some microbes to your next watering... What those guys do is to create a magnificent environment for your roots and keeps the roots able to take in nutrients (i.e., avoid lockout!). I do 1tsp Microbes (I use FoxFarm) per gallon of water and I add 1 tsp of molasses per gallon as well... the molasses helps feed the microbes so they can do their work. And, btw, I hope the 2-gallon container is your final pot... autos do NOT like being transplanted! If you've potted into a fabric pot and want a larger one later, just put the entire pot into the larger one with your soil surrounding it... the roots will grow right through the fabric and you won't have disturbed the plant! π
Good luck with your grow... she looks really good for 1 week old!
@GrowingGrannie, thanks for the advise. yes im planning on sticking with the 2 gallon pot all the way through. i hear its a good size to use. i will add some microbes i have some Myco+ill mix up and give her.
I'll just say you should experiment with the size of your pots... personally, for the space I have available, I like 3 gallon pots - but I'm trying a grow now where 2 plants are in the 3 gallons and 2 (same strain) are in 5 gallon pots... I want to see if the larger pots produce a larger yield! My first grow was in 3 gallon fabric pots and the root ball was so incredibly dense when I harvested, I tried to get it out of the pot just to look at it... it was impossible! This is why I went with a test of 5 gallon pots - especially since I know the roots need good oxygen levels and packed pots probably hinder that. Just my two cents! It really depends on the space you have available!
