Just picked up these sp clones. From what I understand, it's an indica strain. Pretty new. Supposed to be good. I was nominated to cultivate them, and see if I can't bring out their true potential.😉 So, they're freshly transplanted into some awesome sub. They've been given fresh water and above nutes. Lets see if we can get them on the road to recovery.
The sp girls recovered from transport and transplant in about 3 days. Advanced Nutrients Sensi Cal and B-52 with a shot of Rhino Skin helps them increase their resilience and speeds up recovery every time. Got rid of some old leaves, topped off the mains, and started full nutes. We should be in good shape.😉
The girls are doing great. Especially for what they've went thru. Had a light go down out on me, and it tripped the breaker so no light for 2 hours the morning it happened. Internet went down, security cameras, fans, wow! It's all back though so we're ok.😊
Stinky Pinky girls are going wild.💥💨😀 Really looking like they're gonna get topped again, and defoliated sometime this week. Increased light intensity, and have the fans going now.😊
Topped and defoliated about 5 days ago. Did a little lollipoping as well to get some of that lower foliage out of the way. The girls recovered very well as can be seen in photos.😏 They're pretty thirsty in these pots, and they're wanting to go wild so I'm pumping the brakes a little, and keeping them at a reasonable height. Increased light intensity as well. Should be in good shape.👍😉
Getting ready to transplant into 5 gallon pots. Was thinking about doing all 3 gallon pots, keeping it a smaller. That's not gonna work. The sp clones are drying out in about 36 hours and they're not even in flower yet. They'll be doing out overnight when they start budding. Can't have that. So, I'm figuring, if I take 'em all the way, they'll probably go into preflower about weeks 8. They're gonna go crazy after transplant.😀
Transplanted into 5 gallon pots. Same amount of nutes, but increased water volume. Will top and defoliate in a day or two. Then, get ready to flip 'em, and into preflower we go.😄
Topped and defoliated about 6 days ago. Everything was going great then disaster struck for the first, and hopefully last, time. The vent somehow got left closed at lights out, and the temp dropped about 26 degrees. It was 63 when I popped in after lights on. The girls all looked great so I thought we were good.👌😊 Not so lucky. Couple days later, fuckin powdery mildew.😤😢 So, not that bad. Yet. I got right on it. 4 girls including these 2 were infected the worse. Defoiliated most of the leaves with mildew spots, and wet paper towels the rest. Then, 1part milk; 3 parts water in the mist sprayer. Thank you so much Nebula, GWE. I've only seen a few spots on a couple of other girls, but that means all of them get the business now.😲
Got rid of all the powdery mildew.🙏 Major defoiliation, wet paper towel, and a 1 part milk, 3 part water solution to kill all remaining spores. Also, 1st week of bloom down. Into preflower we go.☺️
The powdery mildew came back.😢 Needless to say, the milk treatment is bullshit. Potassium bicarbonate is what to use. So, major defoiliation again, and I'm sure that all of these problems are affecting this grow, but I'm still not sure about this strain. We'll see what happens, but it seems to be way behind the other strains with proven genetics. Hopefully this will be a better week, and we can get some buds going.😕
Major defoiliation. Potassium bicarbonate treatment. So far, it seems to be working. Like I said when I first started this diary, I'm not real sure about this strain. I was asked to grow it, and bring out it's true potential, but I'm not sure the genetics are any good. You can't hardly find any info on this so I figured I'd do this grow, and see if we can't help out the entire fam by cultivating this strain.😐 We'll see what happens. Who knows, maybe it'll turn out to be the bomb.💣😊
Fucking powdery mildew.💀 Been fighting this shit, it seems like this whole grow. Thought the first potassium bicarbonate treatment took care of it, but it came back😢. I defoliated again, and sprayed them with pb again. Well, I fried all of the pistils. Then on top of that, I gave them a pretty hot load of nutrients after the defoiliation and treatment to help them recover. That with the treatment fried the leaf tips.😢 It's been a couple days, and I think we're on our way to recovery.😄
So, I think these bitches are where all the problems began. That's the problem with bringing other people's shit into your grow room. I won't make that mistake again. Anyhow, So far clean. I gave 'em a hot load and burnt 'em a little. No big deal with everything else that's gone wrong.😤 I'm wondering how long till they start showing signs of pollination? Oh well. At least we know these genetics probably aren't worth a shit. I'm gonna take 'em as far as I can and see what we get.
So, I burnt them a little worse than I thought.😐 Oh well, no big deal. These girls were pretty much a lost cause. I don't know of it's bad and/or flawed genetics or if it was just to much trauma for them. I'm gonna give 'em a few more days. If they don't start looking a little better I'm gonna yank 'em for space.😰
Garbage.👎 Big mistake bringing someone else's shit into my grow room.😡 Never again. The entire grow was one battle after another. Fucking catastrophe.😢
hey bro! looking good so far.. maybe too high on N or is it the light that made the leaves look super green? =)
good luck and happy growing!
Growing in the amazon is back!
@Cyrusdavirus, thanks for the kind words, and encouragement.😐 They seemed to be really healthy at first. After the third round of pm hit they began the downward spiral they're on now. I blasted 'em with nutrients in an effort to help them recover, but they couldn't take it like the other strains so here we are. I'm thinking it's just bad genetics. We'll see what happens. Maybe put one in the ground for summer and see what it does.😦
@420DeepGrow, well I gave them a hot load like I have, and did the other strains to help them recover. It helped the other strains, but burnt this one. These two clones are the oldest, and yet around the second or third week of flower they started falling behind the other strains. I'm thinking bad genetics?😐
I haven't had to deal with any wpm in years but I remember using milk n water mix on the grapevines and unlike most other sprays we did it in the morning because the milk reaction to the sun caused a chemical reaction and that was what killed the mildew... I don't remember the mix just remember doing it hell this was 30 years ago but it worked, might be worth checking into it 🤔
Just sharing what popped in my head when you called it pm
@Cyrusdavirus, thanks man. Yeah, that was the first treatment they got. I didn't have much faith that it would work. I had a pm (wpm) problem with one of our Hawaiian Thai grows and it didn't work then. The potassium bicarbonate worked, for a while anyhow, but it came back. Now, this thing with the hermie. Ahhh!😤
