The Green Crack and GG4 are from Farmer's Lab Seeds. Ran them both before felt like FLS deserved some recognition. So I had mixed up some old soil and think I made it too hot. I'll have to test it properly soon (typing this at week 4-5) and get proper numbers. The HSC soil was around 600ppm before transplanting and I top-dressed and added castings after testing. So even hotter I'd imagine. I was also using old water that was sitting in my watering can which has residuals of seaweed and PK boosters... So the pH was incredibly low according to my cheap meter. Also my tap water measures at 600ppm. So I'm not feeding them thats just baseline unfortunately.
Didn't take many pictures, wasn't sure if they'd make it. Taking quite a bit of abuse but the GC seems to love it still. Learning I should definitely just use new soil after awhile. This will be my 2nd or 3rd time reusing this soil at this point and it's all pretty much just guessing for me.
You can see the GC still taking some abuse top left. GG4 seems to actually be recovering pretty well and showing less signs of stress. Although if you notice the fan leaves there was some weird twisting going on. NTHC and PMuff transplanted into their 3gal homes.
-Added Scrog, my favorite part of vegging. NTHC bottom left has the super hot soil of ~700ppm after testing. It has been drooping heavily like the GG4 did. Waiting a day or 2 between watering. Tried flushing with some RO water but its still not entirely happy. Seems to be growing at the same rate as the PMuff though despite the stress. The smells are already popping off. Can smell the plants from outside the room and the stem rub is pure pungent gas.
-Added Flower Girl as I tested a large batch of soil I'm currently mixing and it was seriously lacking P. Didn't have any seabird guano so Flower Girl was my next best option. Grabbing the guano today to add to the batch I'm cooking. Green Crack phenohunt coming up!
-Added Seabird Guano as well for the P and Cal. Might be overdoing it but figure if they survive it should set them up real nice for flower.
-GC still burning slowly. Scrogging nicely. Clones are also doing really well.
-GG is actually doing much better. Looking incredibly healthy. Nice dark leaves doesn't seem like N issues. Excited to see how she does.
-NTHC hasn't been entirely happy. Ever.
-Pmuff has perfect structure so far. Getting a little burnt on the tips but otherwise really impressive.
-First time cloning. No rooting agents. 4 GC and 2 GG. Tried different methods like trimming leaves vs not. Also taking cuts from the top vs bottom.
-Also planted cilantro, cayenne, and sweet cherry tomatoes in the solo cups. Will eventually get moved to outside.
-Fed Fish Shit and CaMg+. Fish Shit I was wanting to use since getting my free sample. CaMg was because I didn't think the plants were getting much Mg. The DLime has a decent amount but I didn't add much to the pots (if any I can't remember and the week5 notes don't have it... hmm.)
Tent all good to go! Moved the circulatory fan to get better airflow. Really happy with how my tents are looking. Do kinda wish I had 2x200w LEDs for the grow room. Something to note for the future.
Temps warming up here. Plants getting a little burnt as they stretch. Seem to be mellowing out. Still feeding tap water. Also had some leftover easy weed so gave them a little dose of that which probably contributed to burn. GC big praying.
Added last photo, pmuff discoloration a bit concerning. Doesn't necessarily look like N-def and is affecting the whole plant. Possible Mg-def looking at other pictures? I did add a rather strong feeding (2tsp/gal) of my CaMg+ just to the pmuff. Little N boost, and some calmag. So if it is indeed Mg-def then hopefully it should perk back up. That's a wrap on week 8!
Nothing much going on this week. Pmuff didn't necessarily recover like I was hoping. I'm starting to think Zinc deficiency instead of Magnesium. The easy weed has a bit of everything so hit em with that. Incredible bulk just as a "F it" and hoping they take to all the new nutes. Tomorrow begins week 10!
GG4 - Honestly looking the best so far! Trich production is already popping! Definitely seems a bit leafy trimming might be a mess haha.
NTHC - calling this girl "Stretch"... Didn't need to defoliate and yet light still penetrating through haha. Probably the 2nd best in production. Structure sucks.
Pmuff - Amazing structure but not really handling everything well like the others. Just based on the light color. Production seems meh.
GC - This plant is always praying. Big bushy plant with a dense structure. Stacked nodes. Unfortunately isn't caking up like the others... It is physically much larger so leads me to my "Production Theory".
Update: I was taking cuts off the GG4 for monster cropping instead of trying to reveg the whole plant. Well when I cut a sucker I noticed some bananas... Luckily it only seems to be the GG4. Gonna let it play out as I've had a hermie before and it never pollinated the other plants.
Leaves are curling on the NTHC and Pmuff. Gave them some CaMg+ hoping that'll help. The Pmuff is almost at its 45 day mark but I may push it longer since it hasn't bulked up much.
