After long discussions over our seed box we agreed with this as a choice, one last seed in the pack and we crossed our fingers for this girls germination. This girl soaked in the Dutch for about 48 hours before she was put in the paper towel that was also moist with the Dutch. It was a bit sketchy the first few days waiting for her to pop up out of the soil, this one jumbled herself in a tangle but with a bit of help she has found her way. In the last two days she has stood her greens out of the soil, we do hope she continues to do so as our plan is to give her a place outside in the garden. Let us hope she keeps a groove on!

Turtle speed ahead for this girl, we do see a top so that is hopeful and her reach is incredible but she really hasn’t moved much. We did switch things up in the grow room so it is possible that she is a wee bit upset with us along with the distance between herself and the light, the good news is we think she moved last night. Come on baby, let’s get moving to the grooving!

Well and hmmm, there really is not much to say here as you can see. On the bright side she has a head, sort of, we think. All we can do is smile and hope she pulls herself together by the hairs of happiness that seem to be keeping her alive, it’s quite the reach! We have faith and hopefully there is a better report next week. It may be the name she was given but that is another wonderlands story!

It is nice to report that Absolem is still in this game called life and it seems that she has found her direction. Patience is going to be required for this one but she has time to take before the outdoor season kicks off, we have hopes for this unique little girl!

Our sweet little sugar is still in the game and slowly grooving her grow-along! It is time for a transplant which will happen as soon as possible (need more soil) and she will have plenty of time to find her stance before she ventures into the outdoor world to bloom.

Pure love for the one that pushes to live, this little sugar baby is full of will and it is thrilling to see her looking this beautiful. The boss (CC) has transplanted her into Stepwell Super Soil and she is very happy to have room for her roots, we have only taken a few leaves to date but she seems to have found her groove which should bump up her growth rate. Absolem is looking forward to the natural sun and the time will come soon enough, it will be an exciting day when we place her outdoors.

Love is all around this beauty, we are quite proud of her and her accomplishments so far. Absolem did have a outdoor milk bath for the mildew and she seems to have come through it just fine, this will be repeated in the next couple of weeks in hopes of concurring it completely. It is almost time to get things ready outside, we are so excited to see the magic of nature unfold once again and we do believe she will do well. The story of her has only just begun. 💚✌️

Absolem is doing well considering she and the others spent a cold hard night that brought frost, had she not been inside the greenhouse she would not have survived. We are very blessed and pleased to say the least, this girl actually handled the cold better than the others. It is amazing though, the PM is starting up on her again and that means it is soon bath time. We will soon be getting the beds ready for transplant, by that time she will be good clean and ready for the heat! This girl has come a long way and it is only the beginning. Absolem, bring on the sugar!

Once again, I apologize for the lack of diary logs over the last few weeks. I have been very sick. Uggh As you can see Absolem has been transplanted into her final setting in a new garden bed outdoors and she is happy. We are pleased to say that the weather is maintaining itself now although we did almost lose everything again due to an incredible storm that blew through with little warning, hanging on for dear life is an understatement. This bed has been filled with a combination of soils from all our past grows, our compost bin offered some rich goodness and some fresh Stepwell soil was also added. It has been amended and worm castings have been added as well. The only issue for this sugar baby is the mildew down below, it has been one of her issues from the start but I hope we can now take care of it once and for all. I believe I will give the milk bath a go along with some more pruning down below. It has been a long journey for this girl thus far and her final adventure has just begun. Hopefully all grows well this season, only time will tell!

This beauty is doing well and loving the outdoor life, we have cleaned her up quite a bit and she has adjusted to the garden bed very well. There are a few other plants in the bed as well but the cover crop will be something we establish for next year, we will however be dressing the top with what we trim from the existing cover crops in the other two flowerbeds. This should provide her with some natural nutrients and also help to keep the soil moist. The weather is once again strange with the temperatures for this time of year but Absolem does not seem to mind it at all, she seems quite refreshed by it actually. So far we grow!

Oh my lovely, we are truly amazed by this girl and how far she has come over the last few months. At her beginning it was hard to imagine she would grow into such a beautiful and buoyant plant, it is easy to see she has filled out since her last cleanup. The winds were intense but she is a well rooted lady, Absolem is another one of our happy girls and we do hope she maintains this glory!

The only issue with this girl is trying to keep up with her defoliation, she has taken beautiful form and we still can not believe that she made it this far when we consider her beginning. The garden beds are definitely the way to go if possible, we are saving so much water growing like this and it also saves time. So far her colour is lush green and she is happy. It is hard to believe that within the next few weeks the bloom stage will take over and we do look forward to seeing it all.

We are pleased to report another great week has been had by all and there are not any issues to mention. The top dress along with Bokashi was applied and they enjoyed a rain barrel treat mixed with Hygrozyme along with Hyshield once this week. A good spray of NForce helped with the aphids along with the stink bugs that were threatening to take over the gardens and Optic foliar spray was applied once a few days later, so far we are happily growing! We have been watering daily to keep things moist, on the hotter days it has both morning and night.

Here we have another beautiful girl that has us in amazement, the more I take off the more she grows. It seems as though the mildew may be trying to grab a hold of her so we will be trying a new natural spray method that is made with leaves from our tomatoe plants, we are always trying to find tricks of the garden trade and this one seemed interesting although we will most likely try it on one of our other girls first as a test. We have stuck to the same weekly regimen and it seems to be working well, we water twice a day to maintain the moisture in the soil bed and she has become a plant/bush to be proud of. We can not believe how far she has come and we are excited for the blooming stage to finally begin.

The mildew battle has begun and we are doing our best to put a stop to it. As for the bugs, there are a lot less now and we are happy about that but we will continue to fight them off on a daily basis. Other than that she looks pretty good, we have thinned her out at the top a bit but she just keeps filling it in. Epsom salts are added to the rain barrel weekly and the beds are getting dried coffee grounds on a regular basis, it is time to get blooming because the weather is changing fast.

Last night this girl had a good amount of white bugs on her but they seem to be gone after the spray that was thoroughly applied. We knew it had worked fast because the dragonflies arrived shortly after, for a while they hovered as they ate up whatever dared to fly into the open and as I took pictures for this log I had one pose for me. Either way, she looks much better this morning.

As you can see this girl has had a break, she has been mended with duct tape and given better support with a bungee. There a quite a few branches that I’d like to clean up in the middle and it seems the dreaded mildew has returned at the worst time of the year, possibly because she weakened from her wound. Regardless it will be a task to rid her of it now because we can not spray anything on the flower at this stage, water alone will cause issues. Other than that, her blooms are looking beautiful.

This girl has had a few wounds due to the wind but she is hanging on and looking lovely with her colour change. The weather has changed quite dramatically in the nights and we hope that she can make it through two more weeks at least, so far bud rot has not been an issue but the mildew is on the attack again. We will do a three part wash at harvest as usual which will get her good and clean. Things are starting to cloud up but we would like to let her reach her full potency if possible.

Last but not least is our Peyote, she did so well in her lifetime and when we look at the rough start that she had we are amazed that she survived to become this beautiful lady. This girl made it to November third and the pictures with the frost on the buds are actually a morning frost that we had in October but she held on and she seemed to enjoy the briskness of the air. We took her down in intervals, top branches first of course but we found that every branch taken became a weight off and she seemed pleased. We washed her in our normal mix and then she was hung to drip dry before the flowers were removed from the stalk. After that it was the flower tower followed by the paper bag for moisture redistribution and from there she was bagged so that the curing process could continue. There was maybe a bud or two that rotted which is incredible, this has been quite the harvest season for us and after 37 days of hand trimming it finally came to a close. As for the weight, it is not accurate at all. There wasn’t time for weighing and we really are not concerned with such things. Our 2022 outdoor grow was a successful one and we are so blessed to have sat in the warm sunshine during harvest. What an adventure!
