About 2 weeks in seedling tray / warming mat and then transferred over to Aero setup; 3x of blueberry kush. Seeds were about 3 years old; was pleasantly surprised that they still germinated.
1 week under the aero setup and the plants are looking a little unhappy; somewhat normal on aero setup. Some nute burn on leaf tips; cut down from 300ppm to 200ppm.
Switched back to famrus blurple light; the spider sf1000 is a bit too strong for this stage and was burning the plants a bit.
Week 2; plants have adjusted to the aeroponics system well and are begining to develope solid roots. Dropped the lights from 5ft down to 3ft after the shock/stress of transplanting to aero was over.
One plant is looking a bit sad; had 1 bad sprayer; this was the same plant that had a helmet head for awhile during sprouting. Could just be weak genetics and combined with bad mister nozzle; may decide to cull and go with 2 plants.
No real nute change this week; maintaining 300ppm; ph 6.0; no addtions needed. Run off tank is showing 280ppm; probably could raise nutes; but will wait until plants are a bit more established..
Week 3 Aero notes;
No issues or changes; mostly just check PH and nute PPM; the nute strength went a little high and had to add water to get it back to 500pm. (600ppm was a bit too hot and it burned some of the leaf tips.
Cheapy blurple light finally died (power switch burnt out); switched back to the spider-farm LED.
Fighting PH with the new PH perfect from AN; seems to want to balance at 5.0-5.5; dropped a couple doses of ph UP and now seems to be leveling at 5.8-6.0. Not sure if this is on purpose with AN blend and if I should just let it balance at the lower level.
cycle time: 3seconds on / 7mins off
Week 4;
noticed some nute burn on tips and reduced feed from 600-500 at beginning of week.
Still some burn and darker green hue; dropping down to 300-400 range for next couple days. Currently blaming the massive roots (at least that is my excuse).
note1: monitor ppm of runoff and adjust based on results
Was getting no run-off as the roots explded in size; adjusted timing of cycle from 4sON/7mOFF to 7sON/7mOFF; basically doubling the feed mist.
note2: Will need to monitor run-off over next couple days and adjust. The underfeeding of water could of attributed to nute burn
Everything looks good; the roots are starting to grow into nozzle areas and block spray. This is why bucket design is probably better overall.
VPD is all over the place; need to fix humidity system.
Some basic trimming to clean up undergrowth; will light switch at end of week.
