This is my first time growing autos since "Lowrider Auto" came out 20 years ago, so I'm having to relearn autos. They seem to like half the strength of my photo feeding plan for veg and then ยพ strength for bloom. They like it when I do a flush once a week with AACT to help wash out any built up nutes and recharge the microbes in the medium. They're doing really good now. I think I have them figured out. I might keep doing autos in my 3x3 depending on how the yield and quality turns out. The Wedding Glue plant I have closest to my Flower Power UV-B light is turning a strong purple color already. I'm planning on dropping my night temps starting this weekend so I'm excited to see how purple it will get. Too bad you can't take clones from autos. I'd like to save that pheno.
@Fast_Buds, yeah the Wedding Glue is phenomenal. It was really interesting how different the two phenos were. The one was very purple and the other had no purple at all but it had better bud formation. Both had completely different terpene profiles. The Wedding Glue performed a lot better than the Strawberry Banana in my setup. For some reason the buds just wouldn't chunk up. The whole plant was like one big larfy nug. I even waited until it had 20% amber trichomes and the buds wouldn't tighten up. I was giving the plants around 800-900 PPFD from a full spectrum LED, so I know they were getting plenty of light. I couldn't figure that one out. The trichome and terpene production was out of control on both plants. I use Flower Power UV-B lights which increases trichome production and these autos responded a lot stronger than the usual photoperiod plants I grow. This was my first auto grow since Lowryder came out in 2003 so I'm sure if I had more time to work with these genetics I could squeeze out some better performance, but overall I was very impressed with the quality. You've rekindled my interest in auto genetics. Thanks again!
