First week. Plant 1 is half the size of plant 2 as it struggled to shed the seed shell off its leaves. I forgot which is the crystal meth and which is the royal dwarf.. I will have to wait till flowering to find out :D

This hasn't been the smoothest run so far. I lowered the light to help the little guys out. Plant 1 has started to catch up a bit and is in a much better place. Plant 2 is too lanky though and it's stem is too flimsy to hold it up so I put a box there to help hold it. Hopefully a week with closer light will help them both along!

I fed a couple sprays of coffee to help with nitrogen. The stems are looking stronger and the leaves greener. There has been growth this week but I am wondering whether it is enough. Plant 1 especially is struggling. This week will be a make or break week for the plants I feel and I am excited to see where we are this time next week

Continued giving a mix of water and coffee and I moved them into a grow tent to try and help them out. Plant 1 is still really struggling and growth hasn't sped up at all - I am not holding my breath for plant 1. Plant 2 is doing a bit better but if it doesn't start speeding up this week, I expect very little from the plant. Both plants have a blotchy light green that is starting at the ends of the leaves and working its way up the leaf. The blotchyness is worse on older leaves - does anyone know what that is?

I am amazed plant 1 is still alive. It is a pale green and very floppy. I don't expect it to survive but I am giving it a chance. Hopefully it at least flowers so I can determine which plant is which. Plant 2 is doing better but is still for some reason showing signs of nutritional deficiency. I have watered both again with coffee in case the issue is that of either N or PH. Hopefully we get another full week of vegetation without signs of flowering starting

I have continued to feed coffee. Both plants seem more stable and plant 1 has almost caught up to plant 2 somehow. They are both on the small side and growth on the main cola seems to have slowed a bit. A few pistils have started sprouting so flowering has begun. I am hoping for a stretch and a lot of vegetation growth this week before the plant goes to bud growth. I have said this throughout the growth - but this week will be a deciding week for the amount of harvest the plant ends up producing

Well the last couple of weeks needed to be a lot better to turn this grow around. Plant 1 has bounced back a bit but it is looking like it is going to be a small harvest. I am feeding normal water now for a couple weeks and light is down to 13 hours a day

Both plants are now starting to grow some buds out. Plant 1 is starting to show some purple. The bud sites aren't showing many pistils and I doubt there will be anything more than a couple joints worth of weed. Plant 2 is a bit fatter and is a bit ahead in terms of filling out buds. İt is a very bushy plant and despite being small, it might produce up to 10g which would surprise me. I expect about 3 more weeks to grow the buds out

Plant 1 is starting to look unhealthy. She has to hold in there for 3 - 4 more weeds while she fattens her buds. dark spots are starting to appear on leaves and the overall tint is getting lighter and lighter. Plant 2 looks healthy and is stacking on the pistils. I am waiting for the buds to fatten out

Grow Questions

The crystal meth has started going yellow very fast. The buds still have at least 2 weeks of growth needed to fatten out and pack the trichomes with thc.. I know it is normal to start dying but isn't this a bit early? Should I let her keep going as long as sugar leaves are alive?

Firstly. Idk where you are getting they have 2 weeks left? They aren't even flowering 2wks. Flowering period isis 45-55 days or around that range for auto at min they need at least 35 days of flowering. And yeah, it's not showing late signs you are only in early stages of flowering and what you are using Westland I've used, it's only good enough for 5-6wks of grow and that's now showing in your plant. And the fact that it's missing PK it's showing that now in spades. You need a bloom nute and with autos and their ruderails you'll also need a micro nute. Good luck pal

They both need another 3 weeks.. I don't know if plant 1 has that much life in her though. She needs to survive at least another 2 weeks. Her leaves are getting wrecked quick though.. hopefully she can fight on. Plant 2 is really living up to its name.. it is short but very stocky. You can't see it through all the foliage but there are a lot of buds coming on her.. especially considering how much I messed her up at the start

Plant 1 is still alive somehow - although she really is knocking on death's door. I am going to give her 1 final week to fatten buds, get white trichomes and the rest of the pistils to go brown. Regardless of how much progress she makes this week - she will be snipped in 7 days. Plant 2 is doing really well still and is starting to show autumn colours. Trichomes are really cloudy and I'm going to give her a couple more weeks to finish off her buds before I snip her too!

Last week - it is now getting cut. Both plants are underwhelming but the crystal meth more so. A few lessons learned. Don't plant straight into the bag.. and use cannabis specific compos

A very troubled plant since the beginning.. my laziness didn't help either. I have more fastbudz seeds so I will give them one last try. Next time I will use cannabis specific compost and use pots.

Royal dwarf is the hardiest thing I have ever grown.. I tried my hardest to mess it up but still it managed to produce a stocky little plant!

That is a shame about the Crystal looking so scraggly and sick... But you have one or two good buds by the looks of things..! The royal dwarf is looking good and healthy. Looks like a few good buds forming up and down the stem :D

@Namlah,You're welcome :D Bags are good for stuff like potatoes and carrots and other roots, maybe tomatoes and peas. I guess it is a cheap and quick version of a raised bed. When you take the plant out, it would be interesting to look in the bag and see if you are right about the water pooling or to see if it is very muddy. It's all a learning experience, and we learn best from mistakes and fails - when they are all done, we get it good and don't have to think twice! :D

Namlahcommented3 years ago
@@Teh_Saccade, that makes sense.. and perhaps there is a slight gradient pushing all that moisture to the right which is why the left plant did well and the right one really suffered. As dumb as it sounds - I didn't think it would make a difference. But in the future I will definitely grow only in pots and not straight from the bag! Thanks for the advice and help!

@Namlah, When a plant goes yellow like that, it is the chlorophyll vanishing from the leaf. It is usually because of over-watering (also due to poor roots, which get the water) or, less often, over-feeding. It might be that planting it straight into the bag is what was the problem - there's no way for water to evaporate to easily or air to circulate, so perhaps it is all soggy and rotting in the bottom of the bag? When the water squirts in, it is not checking if it actually needs more water or not. There's also not much space for roots to develop in a bag like this. They can not be so deep at all. Even tomatoes I do not grow from bags like this - they always do better in a planter with the surface open. The bags always end up all gunky like mud. I'm not sure why you chose to not put the plants into their own pots and instead keep the bag like this with them together, but I hope that you get something from the Crystal..! I would say to pinch off the yellow leaves, but it looks like they have all turned yellow :(

Hi! I'd like to ask how you germinated the Royal Dwarf? Did you just put it in the bag straight off..?
Namlah
Namlahcommented3 years ago
@@Teh_Saccade, all my grows I germinate the same way. I wet some tissue and put the seed on the tissue then fold it to cover the seed. I keep the seed in this wet tissue until the root is fully out - then I bury it in the soil. Why do you ask mate?
