Finally started the next run, this time autos. Fastbuds Orange Sherbert, finally looks like I will have one come to fruition after having the other 2 seeds fail outdoors due to weather conditions outdoors last summer. Soil is Promix BX 75% with Wiggleworm wormcastings 25% with Gaia Green 4/4/4 added in and topped with a layer of just Promix for the seedling to start in soil with no fertilizer until it grows down into the treated soil. Placed a humidifier in the tent to keep RH up, and this time around using the LED to veg and HPS to flower to see what the results are compared to running just the LED. Had good results with the LED but only grow with the HPS I have tried was problem filled so want to see what it can do now that I have gained more experience/knowledge from the only other time I used it. That time the soil was the culprit for the poor results not the light so giving it a second chance. Set both lights up now for ease of transition when
For germination i let the seeds soak in a glass of water for a day, then paper towels for a day then into the 5gal fabric pots.
Starting to take off, noticably bigger than the others in the tent. Light is at 100% and as long as all stays good it will be just watering and keeping the humidifier full until the next feed in a few weeks.
This lady took it the worst when my furnace wasn't working for a couple days. Keeping the light on for 24h helped keep temps from getting disasterously low. Now with the heat back on it has come back into it.
Really growing like a weed now since it has been returned to normal temps. Haven't had to prune other than taking off some of the lower bud sites becuase of the way it is growing, no bud sites are shaded. Soon I will feed and swapping the light out for the 600w hps.
Still under the led, the hps will have to wait for a future run. Had some ph issues but that seems to have been corrected. It does have a citrusy skunky smell and has been turning purple. Top dressing was done 3 weeks ago, worm castings and gaia green 2/8/4. It is around day 60 or so and looks like the thrichomes are mostly cloudy but not seeing any amber yet.
