Decided on running 2 tents at the same time. This run in the smaller ac tent will feature 1gal fabpots again with same strains as before.
2 Tricross and 1 sensi skunk seeds were buried friday and broke ground monday evening. I'll be running a new LED in this tent, a colofrog. Seen them on Amazon and the stats aren't anything amazing but when its a flash sale for $60 you kinda have to buy it just cause of the fucking cool name... Colofrog at 150$ aight happening but at 60 and your in my tent as a germ light. I'll run it into veg and see how the plants respond before throwing the xs1500 in there. One benefit the colofrog has is the cooling fans mounted on shroud of the light itself. Concept should work fine in this smaller tent that can have an heat issue
All 3 plants recieved fox farm ocean forest soil mixed with flower girl, handful of compost and dynomyco. This run I'll be using a nitrogen slow release fert water soluble this run. I'm going to try to press the yield on this 1gal run and try to stretch them in veg. Currently the same strains in flower now are 12-14.5" in total heights. Would like that to increase to at least 18"+ for all plants. That alone would benefit my yield hugely.
2/2
All 3 seeds have popped and already 1'+ and 1 tricross is 2"+. Hoping to stretch these plants more than previous grow with extra nitro in veg and right now with grow light. Pulled LED further away and dimmed it a tad to try and pull length and it might be working somewhat from what I'm seeing now. I just need to be 14"+ before flower to get to 20" I'm thinking. Regardless I can't complain for what im yielding in 1gal. I haven't cut my current grow to cure but I'm guessing it's 40g+ per plant easy. My plan for this grow is to make bubble for sure out one tricross and skunk. The other tricross plant will goto cure for bud. This strain has a strong gassy peppered stank so far with the one I have in flower and I love it.
2/3
All 3 seeds are firmly rooted and growth has taken off. Will start tps n-primer this weekend for some extra soil stable nitrogen. Hoping this stuff will help excelerate growth and increase some height in the plants for a better yield. From what I've read that's what it does and I'll see all about it.
2/5
Went ahead and hit the plants with some n-primer at 5mg/gal. I always cut my nute juice with regular pH calmag plain water so 5mg is tolerable I'm hoping for plants. Growth has taken off for the tricross strain. Both seeds are over 2" with one approaching 3". Skunk is 1.5" and looks fine just shorter than other 2. Fan was turned on during the night to encourage side root development. I'm going all out early for that max yield and height on these tricross. Still up in the air about cutting them or letting them roll natty. The one in have flower now at 14" smells dank as fuck and if I could get these to approach 20"+ I would have incredible yield. I didn't cut on her and let her go natty. She bushed out nicely with nice side branches. Basically branches on branches along with a main cola.
2/9
All 3 plants are looking and growing good. Light n-primer every other day cut with plain pH water to hopefully get some serious veg growth out of these plants.
2/12
All plants are getting steady diet of n-primer nitrogen nute juice and they are responding. Growth seems to have taken off last 3 days for the both tricross strains and the skunk has finally started vert growth. Happy so far with all 3. Both tricross will be topped and the skunk will be topped and fimmed for best possible yields. These 1gal grows for me are producing cut plants roughly every 60 days or earlier. I'm leaning towards 50g+ per plant with my grow now in end stage of flowering. I can live with that yield and timeline.
2/17
Went ahead and cut a few fan leaves off all 3 plants to open up light to new stem growth. All 3 plants got topped few days ago and one tricross has responded with rapid lower stem growth. All 3 plants seemed to develop nute burn from the n-primer. I flushed all plants last night really fucking good to stop the burn. Very minor leaf upward edge clawing gave it away and yellow tips days few days later told me what's up. Sucks that it occurred while young in veg but shit happens. Wanted the growth and pushed it too far.
2/19
Plants have recovered from the light nute burn from n-primer. Flush did the trick and prompted growth. Was hoping for no issues this grow to maximize yield. That shit ain't happening now. One tricross has eclipsed 7", while the other is 5" as well as the skunk. Will start the n-primer again next week at 1mg in 1/2gal jug for every other day feed. Having a tricross cut and drying now makes me wish I did these plants in 2gal to increase yield. Super sticky and smells like magic
2/22
Both tricross plants are in preflower now. Overnight I guess the heavy watering pumped them into gear. Skunk has started some vert growth and stems are branching out. Will hit all plants with a tbsp of flower girl spread across the top of the soil for some added nutes. I'm going to also make up some flower girl tea at a weak strength for some instant nute feed. Went ahead and raised light few inches and swapped out light hangers. Cranked up to 75% with grow light and aiming for 100% this weekend. Plants fluctuant with distances of 12-15" as of now. Will check in am and evening for any light exposure issues. This colofrog LED isn't pumping out the ppfd at 75% at those distances. Even at 100% this grow light isn't a big ppfd performer. Selling points for me was the shroud and the fans built in to drop temp few degrees. Being in a 48" height tent, you'll take any thing to drop temp a few degrees. Plus it was a Amazon flash sale for 60$ish, so it was a easy buy.
2/24
All 3plants are cruising along in preflower. Getting daily visible growth out of all plants. For some reason the skunk didn't grow a second main cola after being topped. You can see where it started and curled up and withered away. Oh well, after burning a bowl of the same skunk after dry..I definitely ain't missing anything. Solid citrus stink and taste but not strong enough for me. See how it goes after a cure for awhile. The tricross strain is wicked fuely and tart tasting. Fuel on release and tarty on burn so that has a different roll than other bud for me. Trichome rich tingle when you hit it and aftertaste. Nice buzz for sure and easy grow. Hoping to maximize yield this go around for 1gal grow. After checking my hand written notes, Ive already achieved greater height and outgrowth of branches. Possibly because of the n-primer or extra flower girl and dynomyco in soil mix before seeding. regardless I'll take the 20% increase in growth and earlier branch off. All plants recieved 1tbsp of flower girl topped off on soil today. Raised the light 3' to improve light penetration. Sounds weird but to me this shrouded light needs distance to properly throw light my plants. I'll check the pray factor of plants when I wait up in the morning. Going to give these girls a soak before bed so I don't have to mess with them. I have to trim out these same plants tomorrow for cure in jars. Going to save my trim in a sealable 1gal bucket for a later bubble run. I'll use all that with this whole skunk plant for a fresh frozen bubble run. I plan on letting this skunk get old and ripen 50%+ dark on buds before cut. Hopefully that will improve the THC content at least for ice water extraction. These tricross are perfect for extraction regardless on how you go about it. Fucking frost monsters and super sticky stank buds. Even had trichomes growing on stems. I broke out the jewelers eye thinking they were thrips or mites. Nope, just glassy trichs turning milky staring back at me instead.
Skunk 9"
Tricross 1 9"
Tricross 2 12.5"
2/27
Defoliation performed all 3 plants. Skunk had minimal leaf removal compared to tricross plants. Canopy has been opened up for sure with tricross to get some light to the bud sites. Last grow with tricross had fluffy buds, going to maximize light exposure for some denser buds.
All 3 plants are doing fine. Experienced some nute burn once again and one tricross where it was topped suffered stagnant growth. Shit happens but not giving a shit also happens. It will all work out in the long run. pHd water has been keep around 5.8 to 6.5 depending on nutes and other additives. Kloombloom hasn't been added in past week after flush. Will introduce kloombloom back at 1.5ml per gal tomorrow to feed these young buds.
3/6
Tricross 1 12.2"
Tricross 2 13.75"
Skunk 10.75
All plants are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Watering 2 times a day, morning and evening. Every 3 days or so I will flush just cause I should to prevent any nite buildup. Added honey to my all my water jugs. 2 1gal got maybe 1tsp and a 1/2gal got roughly 1+ tbsp. The 1gal jugs have the honey, 4ml cal/mag, 1.5ml kloombloom, 1ml n-primer and are 5.8 +/- and 6.0 +/- pH. The 1/2gal has the larger amount of honey and has a pH of 6.0 +/-. The 1/2gal will be used as a topping off watering to provide carbs and sugar for microorganisms and fungi. I'm thinking with the 1/2gal feed every few days along with the super light amount of honey in the nuted 1gal jugs that should be a good feed schedule till harvest. I use plain pHd water with maybe 1.5ml of cal/mag for my flushings. Since I'm in preflower going into or basically in flower now, I'm using nutes of some sorts daily for bud build. Flush every 3-4 days is the plan this grow to dump salt buildup and keep nute burn away this late in grow. Light stink emiting from one tricross and it prays non-stop. Even after serious watering, the pray continues with this plant. had some nute burn suffered at the cut/trim spot before preflower. Growth was stunted on both colas at cut spot. Shit fucking sucks. This is a bombass strain of sticky goodness that I want to maximize yield with. I know I should have went with 2gal pots or whatever but stayed with what I know. 1.75oz a plant from previous 1gal tricross grow, so a little more knowledge and nutes at critical times this go around for better yield please.
3/19
Thought my last entry into this diary was saved and all good few days ago. Guess not, I was hasf so I can't remember what I said...so I'll start from today. Banana tea has been the go-to for nute juice. All plants have responded well with no new nute burn as of now. All burn is from earlier fuckup and dead tip curl is normal is my book. Plants were cleaned up of major stemmy leaves to open up light penetration. One of the tricross that developed nute burn and stunted after topping sucks to look at big time. Fucker has one bud flexing 2" above the rest and is bulking nicely. All plants are exhibiting stink resembling citrus and light dankness now and buds are adding size daily it seems. Did a flush on all plants today while ripping a preroll of tricross..holy shit I was blasted big time. Mason jars have a 62° bovedo and are super sticky. That added to the ultra slow burn rate of that preroll. Done in and passed out for few hrs after that beast. Wished I seeded the tricross in 2gal pots instead of the 1s. This bud is something special and hits different than reg autos. Thick smoke with lemony citrus taste and smells. The grind is pure dank and is loud AF. Whole room goes stank fast with this bud grinded up. It's not a glue variant but it's trichome maker early in flower till harvest. Looking forward to making bubble with trim and larf from tri plants. The lonely skunk is nothing special. Earlier 2 plants are probably in the low teens THC and work to do what's up..but as usual more bud to get there and now since growing, I burn away like snoop . I'll be starting week 7 tomorrow to keep everything going correctly with the calendar.
3/21
All plants cruising along great. Skunk is putting on some swell as well as the tricross plants. Tricross strain is throwing out serious frost and skunk is starting to frost. Using a mixture of dynagrow bloom at 1/2mg, kloombloom at 1/2mg mixed with a light mix of leftover banana tea every other day for nute dump. That mix seems to keep nute burn at bay now. Shit sucks, the tricross strain seems to have serious issues with nute overload. Even at half strength with light watering the strain would yellow tip me. Now that I'm in heavy flower I really don't care too much for light nute burn. But still need to keep it under some control and not go stupid with nutes
3/23
All 3 plants are stacking weight on their buds. Banana tea mixed with light nutes has enhanced bud growth quite a bit. Fully soaked banana peel for 2 days in pHd water and bam.. fucking buds start gaining some size. Once light nutes we're introduced, it seems the slightest of nute burn came back..Im not going to sweat it. I'm too late into flower to worry or care.
3/25
Smell is getting danker by the day. Plants are bulking up well and I haven't even used any real amount of kloombloom yet. Probably will heavy dose kloombloom next week at 4mg/gal and use that jug till chop. Light nute water in these 1gals or nute burn comes quickly. Being so late into flower all I care about is swell, so fuck the bern. Smoking on the tricross has me anxious to see if I got a phenom out of the 3seeds. This strain is a heavy smoke and quick high. After a hard 20" bong rip this strain lets you know what you did. Name should be fill in the blank COUGH, cause that's what it makes me do. Lemony, gassy, chemmy all in one stank with this bud. Highly recommend for cure and smoke. Trichome maker X2 than most of my 1gal grows I've done. Going to a perfect candidate for bubble and one plant will get that honor for me.
3/28
Plants are doing fine with no issues at all. Light nute burn and more coming with the addition of kloombloom now. Looking to stack weight with buds with it's use and heavy watering. Was checking out my earlier grow of these plants and the difference in size at this week is stupid different. Last harvest was double in size, granted 2 of 3 plants were skunk's. I was using kloombloom more frequently and to extreme last grow. I'm running low on tricross so I'm glad this grow is getting close to cut. I plan on letting these tri's go a week or 2 later than last to increase THC strength.
4/2
Plants are doing well and stacking weight daily. Top buds of all plants are swelling good and lower larfy bud is chunking up nicely. Kloombloom daily from now on to bulk up and upped calmag to 6ml. Soaked a banana skin 2 nights ago and will add that to mix later today in the watering to add some potassium, carbs and sugars.
4/5
Plants are looking good and putting on some weight. Swell has been nice and stank is getting loud. Kloombloom has been used every other day and I'll run some flower girl in a few days for the last time. Trichs are busting out fierce on tricross strain and skunk is building weight and making trichs at a lower level but trichomes they are. I hope this skunk seed produces some better bud as in THC strength. Last batch grown was imo 10-12% and fine for anyone but me apparently.
4/9
All 3 plants are stacking weight but it's not as fat as 2wks ago. Lower larf on tricross is adding density and weight. Those popcorn buds from last grow with tricross was fire. Introduced some dynagrow 3-12-6 to try another nute for a restack of potassium and carbs for possible growth of buds some more. I figured I will let this grow go another 2 weeks to add some potency to the tricross strain. As far as the skunk being grown with them. She will be cut at same time and frozen for my bubble run with all this dry trim to add some fresh terps.
4/11
Plants looking good and ready for flush time. Decided to start light flush today and plan is to cut by friday. Trichs are at 20% now with tricross and skunk I could give 2 shits about. Skunk will be cut and frozen for bubble run with all the trim from this grow and others.
4/14
Was going to roll on for another week but things got moving quickly with trichs on plants. Hit the tricross buds with scope and they were 90% cloudy and 25% amber so I have to clip them this weekend. Skunk looked good under glass too with roughly same color trichomes. Opening this tent introduces some extremely loud stank. I don't recall the other plant smelling this tight.
4/15
Hit the switches on these bitches tonight. Going dark for at least 24hrs...why.. bro science that's why. I always have so I continue to carry on this method from old school times. Looking forward to filling some jars with tricross for future times. The skunk will get cut and frozen whole for some flavs in my bubble run.
Keep it simple and the yield showed it. I didn't get a wet cut weight but ended up with just over 50g between the 2 small plants. I'm not hating that weight due to the size of the plants at harvest. Last grow with both these strains I did max the nutes and suffered nute burn. Basically the whole time in flower I had nute burn and yield was double this grow. Going back to pumping them nutes. The light used in this grow a 110w colofrog LED not 1000w
I just harvested this strand several weeks ago, and I want to get some more. I didn’t think I would like it, because it was too fluffy. But what a pleasant surprise. Very mellow, but don’t over do her. She can go from a mellow Sativa high to a Over-relaxed feeling of needing a nap. Big empty spacing on a short plant, never got over 34 inches. Easy to grow, this was my 3rd harvest I ever successfully completed.
@SuaveAck, no doubt about the fluff.. I have one now drying and it's super fluffy compared to the skunks with her. Tricross is super sticky and smells dangerous..
Groundupgenes.com has the atlas line, and cheap compared to other sites. I got my tricross seeds as freebies
