I've actually had a difficult time getting one of these to start and it wasn't until the 3rd try before I managed to get one to pop out of the ground. I used my typical glass of water to paper towel to soil method that's been pretty bullet proof up until now. I've updated this diary to reflect the current attempt and grow, losing basically 3 weeks to attempts.
In the last week or so this girl has finally taken off, was a very weak (and genetically distorted) start, however, the plant seems to be returning to normal.
Finally falling into place, had a very weak start with this plant, took a long time to germinate, then initially looked deformed, and was questionable if it was going to be worth the effort. I'm now feeling much more confident that its going to turn out fine. I've slowly been adding nutes in a diluted form to my watering schedule (last week at 25%, this week at 50%); main purpose is to adjust my pH down slowly in prep for full strength nutes but to also provide some supplemental nutes. The length of germination has thrown my entire schedule off by about 2-3 weeks.

The plant has really turned around in the last several weeks, looking very healthy, no deformities, and adjusted to full nutes (6.1pH, 650ppm) The length of germination has thrown my entire schedule off by about 2-3 weeks.
05/13 - First visible flower / pistils on plant, she is doing really well, defoliated some large fan leaves to open up some light to the lower branches. Watering with 800ml of nute solution (6.1pH, 750ppm) every other day.

Well... it seems that I was sold/delivered photo instead of auto flowering, so at the end of this week I will be switching to a 12/12 light cycle to complete the grow. The other plant that I have in the tent is a Purple Punch auto that was started at a later date so I'm waiting for the weekend to allow it to mature just a bit more so they both can run under the new light cycle.
Start of the 12/12 cycle, OG Kush was sold as Auto but never cycled into flowering on its own, so changing to a photoperiod run. The plant is approximately 3 weeks past what should have marked the start of flowering so it will be much larger than originally anticipated. Still plenty of room in the tent for it to grow and it will definitely be a heavy harvest w these additional weeks. Luckily the Purple Punch Auto I have in the tent has started to flower on its own so the only drawback to keeping it in the tent for the 12/12 cycle will most likely be a light harvest.
OG Kush is flowering more slowly compared to the purple punch next to it, but overall looking great. Unfortunately taller than I'd hoped but that was due to mislabeling of seeds as Auto instead of photo that it truly was, so a few weeks got added to the overall process and as a result a taller plant.
OG Kush flowering is starting to gain momentum. Unfortunately taller than I'd hoped but that was due to mislabeling of seeds as Auto instead of photo that it truly was, so a few weeks got added to the overall process and as a result a taller plant.
