DonPeyote One of the seeds took a couple more days to germinate and is lagging behind, and it also shows slower growth, the rest are all healthy. I water only at the stem, I don't moisten the entire substrate.

DonPeyote This week I did apical pruning on the 7 biggest ones and filled the pots with substrate to cover the young stem. They have grown well, next week it's time for the first and last transplant.

DonPeyote This week the transplant was done to the final 5L pot. The substrate in the transplant has a higher percentage of coco than I'm used to, let's see how it goes.

DonPeyote I'm going to have to work a bit on matching the height since some are stretching too much. This is the last week of growth, today they're going into flowering.

DonPeyote It's been 9 days since I changed the light cycle from 18 to 11 hours. I've been gradually adjusting the light temperature and not doing it abruptly, combining the 5000k lights with the 3000k ones to avoid excessive stretching. The flowering of these strains is generally long, and so is the respective pre-flowering, which takes around 3 weeks. So much so that after a week, they still haven't shown their sex. By the next update, I will have put in stakes and arranged the SOG so that none stand out and we make good use of the space.

DonPeyote Anxious to do the lower pruning but the pre-flowering isn't over yet, looks like I have a couple of weeks left. Soon I'll have to start tying down the taller tops to even out the SOG.

DonPeyote Photos taken right after finishing staking and tying all the buds.
I left a very even SCROG, let's see how those beautiful buds lift now.

DonPeyote It's been a while since I set up such a dense canopy.
Honestly, it's not a strain I expect much from, although I've been surprised several times.
Gotta be patient because this lady is one of those that makes you wait.

DonPeyote In the middle of flower formation, the pre-flowering was very long, the longest of all the strains I've grown, although the blossom blaster might be unnecessary when using the base impact.... I use it anyway lololol

DonPeyote They look good, I think I missed watering one day and the plants noticed the dryness but nothing serious. This strain was an act of faith, I wasn't convinced at first but little by little it's winning my affection.
Muy sativo, efecto duradero pero sobre todo muy rica, sabores tipo incienso y afrutado

DonPeyote This strain isn't particularly high-yielding, the buds are quite light and elongated, typical structure of a landrace sativa.
I'm happy with the result, once again I had issues with height, totally my mistake for underestimating the stretch at the beginning of flowering.
I recommend it for those looking for a good sativa in every sense, that energizes you and has spectacular flavor.
Hey man i see you use bio products. I think it would be better if you kept all of the soil evenly moist to let bacteria thrive. good luck with ur grow!
@DonPeyote, Lol okay if you say so but its something different to moisture ur soil instead of drawn it hehe. I see you use a good soil mix. Just poor in like 100/150ml in the pot at once and it will be even distributed. Lift the pot to acknowledge the weight and u know how much and when they need water again. Even if you use 50L pots it still works the same. Evenly moist will make ur soil alive so it can work for the plant when the roots will enter the area.
I dont understand why u say there is no moist/dry cycle because there always will be. It all depends on how much water u give the soil. Dried out soil need to be activated again so that doesnt make sense to me.
@HolyHerbs, thank you so much for your advice, but considering the size of the plants and the intensity of the light... If I water the substrate completely, it would take more than a week to dry, that's what I mean by there won't be cycles of moisture and dryness. Right now the plants are very small, as are their roots, so it's not necessary to water the entire substrate since the container is too big for what their root system needs... And I do it this way for the convenience of doing just one transplant. You'll see that by next week I'll fill the top space of the pot with soil to cover the stem, and depending on the size of the plant in relation to the pot (which gives me an idea of the size of its roots), then I will start doing complete waterings.
Cheers and thanks for your interest!
So many elongated buds! Well done! But I was wondering if those 200w leds are at 30cm from canopy?
It seems a bit too much because of bleaching done...I am still looking for perfect spot...not to damage leafs but not producing wispy buds! It seems to me the distance should be 65cm to 45cm
Also some strain and phenotype reacts differently to those too! Some indicas can take 35cm...some sativa leaning one 60cm and up because they live longer!
did you experiment with distance or intensity before too?
Anyway you did something right because you have a sea of buds in your tent!🤩💯
@Eauderay, the distance of the light is definitely too close, it was a mistake on my part, but those branches are already tied and bent as much as I could, reaching the limit of the closet. The mistake was giving them too much growth time... Since this strain during the stretch at least quadrupled in height.
@DonPeyote, indeed sativa can stretch and take their time to fill up and yours did exactly that! Still she is making many beautiful flowers/calixes that shine with trichomes! 🤩💥
