Slowly but surely we are getting there.
The buds are swelling and getting covered in more and more trichomes each time the lights come on.
The mite issue seems to be kept in check: topsoil daily misting of neem oil solution plus the use of atomised cinnamon in each feeding seems to be doing the trick. No leaf or bud has seen any mites so far, fingers crossed, and 3/4 weeks away from harvest I would like to keep it that way.
It may very well be the case that they are compost mites and they are only feeding on decaying matter in the soil.
I have increased the feeding schedule a little: knowing the she has been particularly sensitive on ph ad feed changes, I have kept it still relatively low considering these are the second or third to last week of feeding. ppm is at 1000 or lower; I could admittedly push it to 1400ppm right with intermitted lower days at 7/850ppm, but the last thing I would like to do is to fall into another nute lockout.
@whenindoubtsmokeitout, looks like you got 3 to 4 weeks for sure left from pictures. Go off buds. Very light nitrogen in flowering, more potassium and phosphorus is what gives you buds. Your plant is showing potassium deficiency in leaf tips. Brown and straight is sign. If curls up it is nutrition burn.
@Roberts, thank you! I am mostly concerned about 2 points:
- I am beginning to noticing amber trichomes on the very edges of the smaller sugar leaves (previous damage related decaying?...). The trichomes on the flowers themselves are still mostly clear with few cloudy. As this is my very first take on growing, what rule of thumb should I be following so to harvest (and time my flush) at the right time?
- DO one start flushing upon noticing the right amount of cloudy/amber trichomes ratio, or does one needs to time the flushing so to achieve the wanted results by the end of week 2 of flushing?
@whenindoubtsmokeitout, thanks. I have grown 2 of those strains. Smell should be coming soon. I try to be informative, and basically try to answer any questions prior being asked. I appreciate the support.
